The subject of the invention is a device for opening the closure caps of containers opening by rotation of the cap about its axis.
The bottles provided with a cap screwed onto their neck or having tabs at its periphery intended to be engaged under spaced peripheral projections presented by the neck of the bottle, are generally difficult to open by hand.
The device according to the invention makes it easier to open.
It is characterized in that it comprises a cap having an axial housing of substantially frustoconical shape, integral in rotation about its axis with a handle, the internal peripheral face of its axial housing having a surface capable of being frictionally engaged. on a rotary closure cap of a container.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial sectional view thereof.
Fig. 2 is a top view.
The device shown comprises a cap 1, the axial housing 2 of which is generally frustoconical in shape. It came in one piece with a handle 3 of the corkscrew handle type. This handle 3 and the bottom of the housing 2 have an axial bore in which a pusher 4 is engaged. This pusher is of cylindrical shape and has at its end opening into the axial housing 2 a peripheral shoulder 5. Another peripheral shoulder is attached to the other end of the pusher 4 in the form of a washer 6 of diameter slightly larger than that of the pusher 4. An annular housing 7 is provided at the end of the axial bore opening into the bottom of the axial housing 2 of the cap 1, to receive the peripheral shoulder 5 of the pusher 4 in the retracted position from the axial housing 2.
The internal face of the frustoconical wall of the axial housing 2 is striated, grooves 8 being formed therein parallel to the generatrix of this frustoconical wall.
The housing 2 of the cap 1 being of frustoconical shape, the device described can be adapted to capsules of variable external diameter, the diameter of the smallest capsules corresponding to that of the bottom of the housing 2 and the diameter of the largest capsules corresponding to that. open end of housing 2.
To uncap a container closed by a capsule 1 opening by rotation around its axis, of a dimension between these extreme limits, it suffices to cap the capsule with the housing 2 of the device, strong enough to be able to rotate the capsule on the neck of the container in the direction of its opening, by maneuvering the handle 3 of the device in this direction.
The capsule can then be ejected from housing 2 by pressing button 4.
Many variants of the embodiment of the device described and shown in the drawing can be envisaged.
The striations 8 of the internal face of the frustoconical wall of the axial housing 2 of the device can, for example, be replaced by a rubber gasket covering the internal face of the frustoconical wall of this axial housing 2.
Alternatively again, the internal face of the frustoconical wall of the axial housing 2 of the device can be roughened by sandblasting, for example.
