L'invention a pour objet un bouchon composite à tête de préhension, par exemple du genre de ceux utilisés pour le bouchage des bouteilles de cognac.
De tels bouchons comprennent en général un corps en liège surmonté d'une tête en bois ou en matière plastique. Etant donné le prix de plus en plus élevé du liège, on a été amené à chercher une solution de remplacement en utilisant une matière plastique, par exemple cellulaire.
Le bouchon suivant l'invention, est caractérisé en ce que le corps est réalisé en matière synthétique élastique et comporte une dépression centrale borgne qui débouche au droit de la tête et dans laquelle est engagé à force un manchon tubulaire prévu à l'intérieur de cette tête de manière à gonfler la partie correspondante du corps et à bloquer celle-ci par rapport à la périphérie de la tête.
Le dessin annexé montre à titre d'exemple, deux formes de réalisation du bouchon suivant l'invention:
La fig. 1 est une vue éclatée des différents éléments du bouchon suivant la première forme de réalisation.
La fig. 2 est une vue extérieure avec demi-coupe de ce bouchon.
La fig. 3 est une vue semblable à celle de la fig. 1, mais correspondant à la seconde forme de réalisation.
On a représenté à la fig. 1 le corps 1 du bouchon, la cage 2 qui forme l'un des éléments de sa tête de préhension et la rondelle destinée à fermer ladite cage.
Le corps 1, réalisé en une matière synthétique cellulaire élastique, présente la forme générale d'un cylindre dont l'une des extrémités est pourvue d'un chanfrein arrondi la tandis que son extrémité opposée est munie d'une collerette lb de diamètre supérieur à celui du corps et qui est surmontée par un bossage lc dont le diamètre est intermédiaire entre celui du corps précité et de ladite collerette. On a ménagé dans le corps 1 et à partir de la face extérieure de son bossage lc une dépression borgne id dont le fond le est prévu conique.
La cage 2 se présente sous la forme d'une jupe tubulaire 2a dont la partie inférieure est solidaire d'une bague annulaire 2b orientée perpendiculairement à l'axe géométrique de la jupe qui correspond lui-même à celui du corps 1. Le diamètre de l'alésage de la bague annulaire 2b correspond au jeu près au diamètre extérieur du corps 1, tandis que le diamètre intérieur de la jupe 2a est très légèrement inférieur à celui de la collerette lb du corps 1. Comme montré sur le dessin, la face intérieure de la jupe 2a est pourvue de nervures 2c orientées radialement en direction du centre et qui présentent préférablement la forme d'un triangle dont la base repose contre la face correspondante de la bague 2b. La face extérieure de la jupe 2a est pourvue à la manière connue de cannelures longitudinales 2d.
Comme montré à la fig. 2, le corps 1 est engagé dans l'alésage de la bague 2b de la cage 2 jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement 1f déterminé par le corps 1 et par la collerette lb vienne en appui contre la face intérieure de la bague annulaire 2b de la cage 2.
A ce moment, la périphérie de la collerette précitée est en appui léger contre la face intérieure de la jupe 2a. La hauteur totale de la collerette lb et du bossage ic est prévue inférieure à celle de la jupe 2a de la cage 2, si bien qu'il existe une certaine distance entre le dessus du bossage ic et le bord libre 2e de la jupe 2a, lorsque le corps 1 est engagé dans la cage, tandis qu'un espace annulaire libre existe entre la périphérie du bossage ic et la face intérieure de la jupe.
Pour former la tête de préhension du bouchon, on ferme le dessus de la cage 2 au moyen de la rondelle 3. Cette dernière est pourvue d'un rebord 3a orienté perpendiculairement à la périphérie de son fond 3b, ledit rebord étant muni sur sa face extérieure d'une lèvre 3c destinée à venir s'encliqueter élastiquement dans une gorge 2f pratiquée dans la partie haute de la face intérieure de la jupe 2a de la cage 2. La hauteur du rebord 3a est bien entendu prévue inférieure à celle de l'espace annulaire libre existant entre le pourtour du bossage lc et la cage 2.
Le fond 3b de la rondelle 3 est encore pourvu d'un manchon tubulaire 3d dont le diamètre extérieur est supérieur à celui de la dépression id du corps 1. Ainsi, lors de la mise en place de la rondelle 3, prévue en une matière plastique rigide, le manchon tubulaire 3d provoque le gonflement du corps dont la collerette lb vient alors se bloquer contre la face intérieure de la jupe 2a en s'incrustant dans ses nervures 2c. Il devient donc impossible de faire tourner la tête réalisée par assemblage de la cage 2 et de la rondelle 3 par rapport au corps 1, si bien que l'ensemble du bouchon composite se trouve indémontable lors de son utilisation.
La cage 2 est avantageusement prévue en une matière plastique rigide telle que le polystyrène; elle comporte cependant une élasticité suffisante pour permettre la mise en place de la rondelle 3.
Dans la forme de réalisation suivant la fig. 3, la tête du bouchon est réalisée en une seule pièce 4 comportant un fond 5 pourvu d'un manchon tubulaire central 5a semblable à celui 3d de la rondelle 3 de la forme de réalisation suivant les fig. 1 et 2. L'intérieur de la jupe 6 de la tête 4 comprend un cordon 6a tourné vers l'intérieur et destiné à rendre solidaires le corps 1 et la tête 4.
REVENDICATION
Bouchon composite à tête de préhension, dans lequel le corps destiné à être engagé dans le goulot d'un récipient est surmonté par une tête de préhension, caractérisé en ce que le corps est réalisé en une matière synthétique élastique et comporte une dépression centrale borgne qui débouche au droit de la tête et dans laquelle est engagé à force un manchon tubulaire prévu à l'intérieur de cette tête de manière à gonfler la partie correspondante du corps et de bloquer celle-ci par rapport à la périphérie de la tête.
SOUS-REVENDICATIONS
1. Bouchon suivant la revendication, caractérisé en ce que la tête comprend deux pièces séparées, à savoir une cage et une rondelle destinée à fermer le débouché supérieur de celle-ci, cette rondelle étant pourvue du manchon tubulaire précité.
2. Bouchon suivant la sous-revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la partie supérieure du corps comporte une collerette périphérique coopérant avec la cage de la tête.
3. Bouchon suivant la sous-revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la face intérieure de la jupe de la cage est pourvue de nervures longitudinales qui s'incrustent dans la partie supérieure du corps en vue d'éviter toute rotation de celui-ci par rapport à la cage.
4. Bouchon suivant la sous-revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que la rondelle de la tête s'enclenche élastiquement dans la cage afin que l'assemblage soit démontable.
5. Bouchon suivant la revendication, caractérisé en ce que la tête, formée en une seule pièce, présente un fond et une jupe qui portent respectivement sur leur face intérieure le manchon tubulaire et des saillies pour le blocage angulaire du corps ainsi qu'un cordon destiné à retenir celui-ci axialement.

The subject of the invention is a composite stopper with a gripping head, for example of the type used for capping bottles of cognac.
Such stoppers generally comprise a cork body surmounted by a wooden or plastic head. Given the increasingly high price of cork, it has been necessary to seek an alternative solution by using a plastic material, for example cellular material.
The stopper according to the invention is characterized in that the body is made of elastic synthetic material and comprises a blind central depression which opens out to the right of the head and in which is forcibly engaged a tubular sleeve provided inside this head so as to inflate the corresponding part of the body and to block it relative to the periphery of the head.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the stopper according to the invention:

There is shown in FIG. 1 the body 1 of the stopper, the cage 2 which forms one of the elements of its gripping head and the washer intended to close said cage.
The body 1, made of an elastic cellular synthetic material, has the general shape of a cylinder, one of the ends of which is provided with a rounded chamfer 1a while its opposite end is provided with a flange 1b of diameter greater than that of the body and which is surmounted by a boss lc whose diameter is intermediate between that of the aforementioned body and said collar. In the body 1 and from the outer face of its boss lc, a blind depression id has been formed, the bottom of which is provided conical.
The cage 2 is in the form of a tubular skirt 2a, the lower part of which is integral with an annular ring 2b oriented perpendicularly to the geometric axis of the skirt which itself corresponds to that of the body 1. The diameter of the bore of the annular ring 2b corresponds to the clearance close to the outside diameter of the body 1, while the inside diameter of the skirt 2a is very slightly smaller than that of the flange lb of the body 1. As shown in the drawing, the face The interior of the skirt 2a is provided with ribs 2c oriented radially in the direction of the center and which preferably have the shape of a triangle, the base of which rests against the corresponding face of the ring 2b. The outer face of the skirt 2a is provided in the known manner with longitudinal grooves 2d.
As shown in fig. 2, the body 1 is engaged in the bore of the ring 2b of the cage 2 until the shoulder 1f determined by the body 1 and by the flange lb comes to rest against the inner face of the annular ring 2b of the cage 2.
At this time, the periphery of the aforementioned collar is lightly resting against the inner face of the skirt 2a. The total height of the flange lb and of the boss ic is provided less than that of the skirt 2a of the cage 2, so that there is a certain distance between the top of the boss ic and the free edge 2e of the skirt 2a, when the body 1 is engaged in the cage, while a free annular space exists between the periphery of the boss ic and the inner face of the skirt.
To form the gripping head of the stopper, the top of the cage 2 is closed by means of the washer 3. The latter is provided with a rim 3a oriented perpendicularly to the periphery of its bottom 3b, said rim being provided on its face exterior of a lip 3c intended to snap elastically into a groove 2f made in the upper part of the interior face of the skirt 2a of the cage 2. The height of the rim 3a is of course provided less than that of the free annular space existing between the periphery of the boss lc and the cage 2.
The bottom 3b of the washer 3 is also provided with a tubular sleeve 3d, the outside diameter of which is greater than that of the depression id of the body 1. Thus, when the washer 3 is fitted, provided in a plastic material rigid, the tubular sleeve 3d causes the swelling of the body, the collar lb of which then comes to block against the inner face of the skirt 2a by becoming embedded in its ribs 2c. It therefore becomes impossible to rotate the head produced by assembling the cage 2 and the washer 3 relative to the body 1, so that the whole of the composite plug is not removable during use.
The cage 2 is advantageously provided in a rigid plastic material such as polystyrene; however, it has sufficient elasticity to allow the washer 3 to be fitted.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the head of the stopper is made in a single piece 4 comprising a bottom 5 provided with a central tubular sleeve 5a similar to that 3d of the washer 3 of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. The inside of the skirt 6 of the head 4 comprises a bead 6a facing inward and intended to make the body 1 and the head 4 integral.
CLAIM
Composite stopper with a gripping head, in which the body intended to be engaged in the neck of a container is surmounted by a gripping head, characterized in that the body is made of an elastic synthetic material and comprises a blind central depression which opens to the right of the head and in which is forcibly engaged a tubular sleeve provided inside this head so as to inflate the corresponding part of the body and to block the latter relative to the periphery of the head.
SUB-CLAIMS
1. Stopper according to claim, characterized in that the head comprises two separate parts, namely a cage and a washer intended to close the upper outlet thereof, this washer being provided with the aforementioned tubular sleeve.
2. Stopper according to sub-claim 1, characterized in that the upper part of the body comprises a peripheral flange cooperating with the cage of the head.
3. Stopper according to sub-claim 1, characterized in that the inner face of the skirt of the cage is provided with longitudinal ribs which are embedded in the upper part of the body in order to prevent any rotation thereof by compared to the cage.
4. Stopper according to sub-claim 3, characterized in that the washer of the head engages elastically in the cage so that the assembly is removable.
5. Stopper according to claim, characterized in that the head, formed in one piece, has a bottom and a skirt which respectively carry on their inner face the tubular sleeve and projections for the angular locking of the body as well as a cord. intended to retain the latter axially.
