The present invention relates to a false twist texturing device by friction comprising at least one annular friction surface rotating along its axis of symmetry and means for introducing a moving yarn under tension into space. intra-annular so that it comes into contact at at least one point with this rotating annular surface.
It is common practice to produce so-called textured swelling yarns, with a high three-dimensional crimp by twisting, fixing and untwisting. Generally, this type of wire is obtained during a continuous operation by using false-twist pins formed by rotating tubes, provided with a member for locking the twist, such as a tie-bar.
Attempts have also been made to develop methods of false twisting by friction, according to which the false twisting is communicated to the wire by a moving member such as a belt, in tangential contact with the wire, which moves in a direction. direction different from the direction of movement of said surface, generally substantially perpendicular to it.
Such methods, although attractive from the point of view of the mind, have not so far experienced a development similar to those involving the. traditional faux twist brooch.
The reason is certainly that they require relatively complicated devices and / or handling or they are of insufficient efficiency.
In fact, it is not easy to drive a moving surface at high speed. In this regard, it has already been proposed the use of rotating rings driving the wire by friction during its passage through said rings. But we come up against two difficulties, one in the need to animate a contact surface moving at high speed, the other in the obligation to have a relatively simple handling of the wire.
Now, it is all the easier to have a rapid rotation of a rotating member as its size, in particular its diameter, is smaller.
In one type of embodiment, annular friction surfaces of significant peripheral dimensions have been used, thus offering a good ratio between the internal diameter of the rotating member and the diameter of the wire. In this embodiment, the stretched wire is applied against the inner peripheral surface of the rotating member and necessarily passes right through it while changing direction. This process gives good results and makes it possible to texturize yarns with low counts at speeds greater than those of conventional false twist spindle looms.
However, due to the fact that in this embodiment the wire passes through the spindle, one is led to complicated devices, such as those constituted by a movable ring, thanks to a roller bearing assembly, driven in rotation, inside. a fixed frame, by its external surface, which necessarily limits the speed of rotation of this ring. In addition, when handling the wire (breaking, restarting), it is necessary to stop or disengage the rotating member.
The device forming the subject of the present invention, intended to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, is characterized in that the whole is arranged so that the entry and exit of the wire take place from the same side of the intra space. -annular.
By annular space is meant the volume generated by the annular friction surface during its rotation. By entry face of the wire into the annular space , is meant the face through which this wire passes when it enters for the first time into this annular space. In contrast, the exit face is the face that the wire passes through when it leaves this annular space for the last time. The present invention will be more easily understood with the aid of the following exemplary embodiments and implementations, given by way of indication, but in no way limiting.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of the false twist loom according to the invention.
Fig. 2 shows a view, in section along A A 'of the heating oven 10 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a cross section of a guide member 17 located upstream of the false twist pin. Fig. 4 is a detailed view of a false twist spindle according to the invention, and of the intermediate guide system for the wire in the spindle.
A creel 2 associated with a frame 1 carries bobbins, such as a coil 3 from which a wire 4 is called in the run.
It is obvious that we would in no way depart from the scope of the invention to substitute for this power supply system another device with call for the unwound wire.
The wire 4 then passes through a tensioner 5 which may be of any known type, such as a grid or cup tensioner, then over a guide 6. It then passes through the space separating the two frames at a sufficient height so as not to obstruct the passage in the corridor formed between the two frames.
The wire 4 enters a second frame 7 by a g a uid 8 and is called by a delivery system 9, then it enters an oven 10.
The oven 10 consists of a device such as that described in French patent 1395038. It has in particular an open section such as represented by, FIG. 2. The wire passes through a recess Il and can be inserted or withdrawn at any time through opening 12. The oven is fitted with a safety system (see fig. 1) which, in in the event of a current break, causes the pivoting of a cover 13 and an open return sector 14 which separates the wire from the heating plate 15.
On leaving the oven 10, the wire passes through the open return sector 14 and then enters a profiled metal channel 17, the section of which has the shape shown in FIG. 3. The length of this metal channel 17 is sufficient to allow some cooling of the wire. It is advantageously between 50 cm and 1.50 m. The yarn then enters a false twist device 16 according to the invention.
Before entering the false torsion pin by friction according to the invention fig. 4, the wire passes over a return roller 18.
This spindle is constituted by an annular part 19 rotating around an axis 20 and is driven by a belt 21. It carries a ring 22 internally made of a material with a high coefficient of friction but not abrasive such as a polyurethane elastomer of the type. Vulkollan. The wire handling means used to guide said wire in the spindle and to release it from the spindle comprise a support 23 carrying a double arm 24 mounted to rotate about an axis 25. Each arm 26 and 27 < / I> is provided with an eyelet 28 and 29 for the passage of the thread.
This double arm is locked in the working position by a valve 30 and in its disengaged position by another valve 31.
The wire then passes over a second roller 32 and is called out from the device 16 by a second delivery system 33 which regulates its take-up speed in the spindle. Then it crosses the aisle separating the two frames at a sufficient height so as not to obstruct the passage of an operator and is received on the frame 1 on a guidance system consisting of one or more guides such as 34 and 35.
The yarn is then returned by a device 36 such as a butterfly yarn guide driven by a reciprocating movement which distributes the yarn on a support 37, driven tangentially by a mandrel 38.
The pressure of the support 37 is exerted in a constant manner as a function of the increase in the size of the winding thanks to an arm 39 pivoting about a fixed axis 40 and sliding at its free end on a fixed arm 41, thanks to to an element 42, with spring and eccentric valve, allowing the arm 39 to move on the fixed arm 41 only in an anti-clockwise direction.
The advantage of such a winding system is that it is possible to obtain windings such as parallel windings, the dimensions and shape of which make them directly usable in subsequent operations for transforming the yarn (weaving - knitting, etc.). Obviously, this device can be replaced by any other equivalent means.
The device according to the invention has many advantages over previous false torsion devices by friction. The fact that the wire does not need to pass axially through the rotating tube makes it possible to achieve very high production speeds, the driving of the rotating tube not necessarily having to take place via its outer peripheral part, but for example by a nut integral with the axis of the tube.
These high speeds of rotation are all the easier to achieve since this device, which does not require any disengaging members, is mounted in a very simple manner, and therefore particularly resistant. In addition, in the event of stops, handling or breakage of the wire, it is not necessary to stop the rotational movement of the spindle, it is sufficient to release the wire by tilting or sliding the spindle. intermediate guide member.
In other words, the present invention is characterized compared to the solutions proposed to date by a notable improvement in the actual speeds of manufacture of the textured yarn and by an appreciable reduction in the cost of the installations.
In addition, the handling of the wire is very simple, which is a considerable economic argument, especially since it is not necessary to disengage the spindle, which means that it can be carried out in the same way. the simplest. In addition, this device is easily inserted into an apparatus grouping together in a small space all the means necessary to form a winding ready for delivery, these means being easily accessible separately, and being able to be operated independently.
The device described therefore comprises in practice - means for guiding the wire under tension towards and out of the annular friction member, these means being located on the same side with respect to the entry and exit plane of the wire; - Intermediate guide means making it possible to engage and guide the wire in the annular space and to maintain it inside said space in contact with the friction member.
Likewise, in practice, the annular friction surface is circular.
In a simple way, the false torsion pin consists of a rotating tube, driven in rotation by a belt. This tube has an end recessed part, covered internally by a ring made of a material with a high coefficient of friction but not abrasive, such as a reinforced elastomer constituting the friction organ.
In a preferred embodiment, the means 3rd intermediate guide of the wire consist of a member comprising two arms offset with respect to each other by a certain angle, pivoting on a fixed support. Each arm has an eyelet for the wire.
During operation, a first arm makes it possible to engage and guide the wire in the annular space and to maintain it inside said space in contact with the friction member, the other arm making it possible to release the thread of this annular space. In the event of a stop, by pivoting of this intermediate guide member, the first arm causes the wire to be released from the annular space, the second arm serving only to guide the wire.
According to another embodiment, this intermediate guide means can also be constituted by a single or multiple arm sliding inside the rotating tube, in particular inside the annular space.
An advantageous assembly for the implementation of the present device comprises in association with said positive device, on the same loom, delivery means for the yarn, at least one means for fixing the crimp, means for guiding the yarn between a means for fixing the crimp and said false twist device and finally, means for receiving the treated yarn. If it is desired to obtain a fixed foam yarn, this loom comprises two means for fixing the crimp arranged on either side of the false twist device according to the invention.
In practical terms, this trade consists of two frames arranged face to face. Advantageously, the wires are guided from one frame to another, in the upper part of the device at a height greater than that of a man's waist and / or below a floor located at the lower part of the device. loom but leaving sufficient space between this floor and the ground for the installation of said wire guide elements. A means for fixing the crimp, particularly indicated, is that constituted by an open oven such as that described in. French patent No 1395038.
Likewise, the guide means between the heating oven and the false torsion device are constituted by a channel whose cross section is in the form of a baluster compass, that is to say in the shape of a V whose tip is replaced by an arc of an opening greater than 1800.
The delivery means are constituted, for example, by a creel from which the yarn is called up or unwound and by delivery rollers of a type known per se. The reception means are also of any known type. They are advantageously constituted by devices giving. windings which can be used directly, without special processing, such as a long-stroke winding device with friction drive.
