Control mechanism for timepiece
In control mechanisms for timepieces such as winders and pushers, the length of the stem actuated by the crown must be determined with precision. In known mechanisms, this length is determined during manufacture and cannot be changed subsequently, in particular the mechanism once mounted on the box.
The present invention specifically aims to adjust the length of the control rod the mechanism once mounted on the box.
The subject of the invention is a control mechanism for a timepiece comprising a crown, a threaded rod engaged in said crown and having a screw slot, a sleeve surrounding said rod and a spring resting on this sleeve and on the crowned; this mechanism is characterized in that the crown has a recess making the screw slot accessible to a tool, so as to adjust the emergence of the rod in said recess.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.
The only figure in the drawing represents a chronograph pusher.
1 designates the wall of the chronograph case in which is driven a sleeve 2 on which is mounted the pusher which comprises a head or crown 3 in which is fixed a rod 4. This rod has a threaded portion 4a whose end, provided a screw slot 4b, opens into a conical hole 3a made in the center of the head 3. The rod comprises a portion of larger diameter 4c whose front end abuts against a shoulder 2a of the sleeve 2 under the action a coil spring 5 working in compression between the sleeve and the head of the pusher. The seal is provided by an O-Ring type seal 6, retained axially by a washer 7.
The opening 3a makes it possible to reach the rod 4 and, the pusher once mounted, it is possible by means of a screwdriver to adjust the length of the rod.
The adjustment, once made, the hole 3a is preferably filled with varnish blocking and masking the end of the rod.
The invention is of course applicable to any control mechanism, whether it is a pusher or a time-setting mechanism. By using varnishes of different colors, it is also possible to quickly distinguish between different push buttons with different functions yet mounted on the same box.
CLAIM
Control mechanism for a timepiece, comprising a crown, a threaded rod, engaged in said crown and having a screw slot, a sleeve surrounding said rod, and a spring resting on this sleeve and on the crown, characterized in that the crown has a recess making the screw slot accessible to a tool, so as to adjust the emergence of the rod in said recess.
SUB-CLAIM
Control mechanism according to claim, characterized in that said recess is closed off by varnish so as to mask the emerging end of said rod and to isolate it from the external environment.
