La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation d'un bouche à eau, avec coupe partielle;
la fig. 2 en est une vue en plan;

Water mouth
The present invention relates to a water mouth.
This water outlet is characterized by the fact that it comprises a valve, mounted on a horizontal pipe, followed by a 900 elbow extending by a vertical column, the orifice of which is provided with connection means, this elbow having a purge orifice located substantially in the axis of said column, provided with a closure device arranged so as to be reachable, using a tool, through the column.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of a water hydrant, with partial section;
fig. 2 is a plan view;
fig. 3 is an axial section of a detail, on an enlarged scale, and
fig. 4 is a partial section of this detail, taken on the line IV-IV of FIG. 3.
The water outlet shown, intended to be buried in the ground, which has been schematically shown at 1, comprises a valve 2 having a vertical control rod 3, terminating in a square 3a, located above the ground, intended to receive a manceuvre key.
This valve 2 is interposed between a horizontal inlet pipe 4 and an elbow at 900 5 terminating in a vertical column Sa itself extended by a vertical tube 6 provided with a branch 7: the orifices of the tube 6 and the 'branch 7 are each provided with connection means 8, respectively 9, allowing the rapid connection of pipes, for example running its hoses used by firefighters.
The elbow 5 has an orifice 10 located substantially in the axis of its part 5a, and extending to the base of the elbow; this orifice opens onto a boss 11, internally threaded at 12, into which a valve is screwed
13 shown in detail in FIGS. 3 and 4.
A stop consisting of a solid flange 14, connected to the boss 11 by a cross 15, serves for fixing the elbow 5 and therefore the entire water outlet, on a concrete block 16 buried in the ground.
The valve 13 comprises an annular cylindrical support 17, threaded at 18 (fig. 3 and 4) which is screwed into the boss 11. It comprises a body 19 pierced with a central hole 20, screwed into the internal bore of the support 17. The latter, as well as the body 19, have a series of blind holes 21, 22 respectively, allowing the use of tools. with projections for the assembly and disassembly of these two elements.
The valve 13 comprises an elastic membrane 23 clamped, by its periphery, between two rings 24 and 25, forming a frame, themselves clamped between the body 19 and an internal shoulder 26 of the support 17, with the interposition of a sealing gasket 27.
The arrangement is such that, when the valve is at rest, in the position shown in the drawing, the membrane 23 is maintained, by its own elasticity, at a distance from a collar 19a, forming a seat, which the valve body 19 has. and which borders its central hole 20.
When a low pressure liquid 50115 is upstream of the membrane 23, it flows below the latter, in a chamber 28 in which the collar 19a is located, through passages 29 and 30 formed in the rings 24 and 25 , respectively, distributed in a ring around the membrane 23.
Thus, liquid which is under low pressure in the valve flows through the central opening 20 of the body 19 thereof, so that the orifice 10 of the elbow 5 thus serves as a drain preventing the elbow and the parts. 6 and 7 of the water outlet remain filled with water when valve 2 is closed.
When the latter is open, the water pressure exerted on the upper face of the membrane 23 produces an elastic deformation of the latter, applying it against the seat 19a, which closes the valve.
The support 17 has a collar 17a, threaded at 31, to the left if the thread 18 is normal. This thread 31 serves to receive the threaded end in the corresponding direction, of a rod forming a key which is introduced from above through the column 5a-6, and which allows the installation and removal of the valve 13 to through the column.
This arrangement has the advantage of not requiring disassembly of the entire water outlet when the valve 13 has to be replaced or checked. In fact, in known arrangements of the same type, the inability to reach the valve from the outside obliges, in the event of repair, to carry out a search giving access to the defective organ.
As a variant, one could foresee the case where the purge orifice 10 would be provided not with a valve, like the valve 13, but with a valve, also removable from the outside by the column 5a-6, which can be actuated by using a key entering this same column.
It should be noted that the column 5a-6 can be extended at will by simply interposing one or more intermediate pieces between the parts Sa and 6.
