B. Al- lyl, Chlorvinyl, substituiertes Alkyl, z. B. Carboxymeth- yl, Chlor- oder Brommethyl;
Die optimalen Applikationsbedingungen sind je nach der Art der Faser und der zur Anwendung gelan genden Farbstoffe verschieden. Die neuen kupfer- oder nickelhaltigen Reaktivfarbstoffe besitzen gute Löslich keit in Wasser, gute Stabilität in den Druckpasten und Klotzlösungen, gute Verträglichkeit mit Salzen und Hartwasser, gute Reaktivität mit vegetabilischen Fasern, animalischen und synthetischen Polyamidfa- sern;

Additional patent to main patent no. 405 554 Process for the production of metallizable reactive dyes The invention relates to a process for the production of metallizable reactive dyes of the formula
EMI0001.0010
where W -OH or NH2, one X is a sulfonic acid group,
the other X is an NH-R group, where R represents a monohalopyrimidyl radical or one bonded directly or via -CH2-, optionally further substituted.
Di- or trihalopyrimidyl radical, Y denotes an optionally further substituted disulfophenyl, disulfo- or trisulfonaphthyl radical and Z denotes low molecular weight allyl, carboxy, a carboxylic acid alkyl ester group or an optionally substituted carboxamide group.
The process for preparing these new metalizable reactive dyes is characterized in that 1 mol of the diazo compound is obtained from an amine of the formula
EMI0001.0043
where one X1 is a sulfonic acid group and the other X1 is a nitro group or an acylamino group,
with 1 mole of an azo component of the formula
EMI0001.0055
couples, thereupon the substituent X1 is converted into an amino group and the amino group with a di- or trihalopyrimidyl radical, optionally bearing a halomethyl group, or with a tetrahalopyrimidine
implements.
The metallizable reactive dyes of the formula (I) obtained can be converted into their copper or nickel complex compounds by treatment with copper- or nickel-donating agents.
Assuming a diazo component containing a nitro group, this nitro group is reduced in the monoazo dye obtained (e.g. by heating with a solution of sodium sulfide or sodium hydrogen sulfide to 60-100 ° C.) and the amino monoazo dye is set with one defined above Di-, tri or tetrahalopyrimidine.
One can also start from a diazo component containing an acylamino group (acetylamino, propionylamino, formylamino, benzolylamino, carbomethoxyamino or carbethoxy amino group), in the monoazo dye obtained this acylamino group (z.
G. by dissolving in 10 to 2a times the amount of concentrated sulfuric acid and "diluting with water to a sulfuric acid concentration of about 80 0/0, in such a way that the temperature rises to about 100 C, or by heating in an aqueous one Mineral acid solution, preferably in an aqueous 3 to 10% hydrochloric acid solution at 90-100 C, or in an aqueous solution of alkali metal hydroxides, preferably in
hydrolyze a 5 to 10% sodium or potassium hydroxide solution at 70 to 100 C) and react the aminomonoazo dye with a di-, tri- or tetrahalopyrimidine defined above.
As di-, tri- or tetrahalopyrimidines to be used according to the invention, for. B. in Be tracht: 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine and 2,4,6-tribromopyrimidine, and their derivatives, which in the 5-position, for example, carry the following substituents: methyl, ethyl, carboxylic acid methyl or ethyl ester, alkenyl , e.g.
B. al lyl, chlorovinyl, substituted alkyl, z. B. carboxymethyl, chloro- or bromomethyl;
5 Bromo-2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine, 2,4,5,6-tetrachloro- or -trabromopyrimidine, 2,6-dichloro- or -dibromopyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester, 2,4,5-trichloropyrimidine , 2,6-dichloro- or di-bromopyrimidine, 2,5,6-trichloro-4-methylpyrimidine, 2,4-dichloro-5-chloromethylpyrimidine, 2,
4-dichloro-5-chloromethyl-6-methylpyrimidine and 2,6-dichloro-4-trichloromethylpyrimidine.
The condensation of the di-, tri- and tetrahalopyrimidines defined above is advantageously carried out at temperatures between 40 and 100 ° C. and at pH values between 3 and 9. If temperatures higher than about 50 C have to be used, it is advisable, with regard to the water vapor volatility of individual halopyrimidines, to work in vessels that may be equipped with a reflux condenser.
To keep the pH constant, either an acid-binding agent, such as sodium acetate or a phosphate buffer, is added to the reaction mixture at the beginning, or sodium or potassium carbonate or bicarbonate in solid, powdered form is added in small portions during the reaction as an aqueous solution.
However, aqueous solutions of sodium or potassium hydroxide are also suitable as neutralizing agents. The addition of small amounts of a wetting agent or emulsifying agent to the reaction mixture can accelerate the conversion reaction. The reaction is conducted so that only one. Halogen atom of the halopyrimidine reacts with an exchangeable hydrogen atom of the amino group.
The diazotization of the amine of formula (II) is z. B. by the direct or indirect method at temperatures of, for example, 0 to 10 C leads out. The coupling is advantageous in weakly acidic, neutral or alkaline medium, preferably in the pH range from 6 to 12, and temperatures at low Tem, eg. B. at 0 to 15 C, optionally carried out in the presence of organic bases such as pyridine or pyridine base mixtures. Suitable azo components are, for. B.
1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-T, 4'-, -2 ', 5'- or -3', 5'-disulfonic acid, 1- (2'-naphthyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone -5 ', 7'-disulfonic acid, or -4', 8'- resp. -6 ', 8'-disulfonic acid, 1- (1'-naphthyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-3', 6'-, -3 ', 7'-, -4', 6'- or - 4 ', 7'-disulfanoic acid, 1- (2'-naphthyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-3', 6 ', 8'- or -4', 6 ', 8'-trisulfonic acid, 1-phenyl -3-methyl-5-aminopyrazole-2 ',
4'- or -2 ', 5'-disulfonic acid.
After the condensation has ended, the metallizable reactive dye can be salted out with sodium or potassium chloride from its previously neutralized solution or suspension or precipitated with acid, then filtered off with suction, washed and dried.
The conversion of the reactive dyes into the copper or nickel complex dyes is advantageously carried out in aqueous solution, in weakly acidic (z.
B. acetic acid) to slightly alkaline medium at temperatures of 20-70 C and with the addition of an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, an alkali metal carbonate or an alkali metal salt of a low molecular weight aliphatic monocarboxylic acid. The amount of a copper- or nickel-releasing agent containing 1 atom of metal is used for one molecule of dye.
The metal complex compounds obtained can be separated out from an aqueous medium by adding salt, then filtered off, optionally washed and then dried.
The new metal-free and metal-containing reactive dyes are suitable for dyeing, padding and printing of fibers of animal origin, z. B. wool, silk, synthetic polyamide fibers, e.g. B. nylon, leather, cellulose fibers, e.g. B. cotton, Lei NEN and regenerated cellulose fibers, z. B. Viskosereyon, Kupferreyon, rayon, and Ge mix and / or structures made of these fibers.
The optimal application conditions vary depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used. The new copper- or nickel-containing reactive dyes have good solubility in water, good stability in the printing pastes and pad solutions, good compatibility with salts and hard water, good reactivity with vegetable fibers, animal and synthetic polyamide fibers;
they are insensitive to heavy metal ions such as copper, iron and chromium ions and reserve acetate, triacetate, polyester, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate and polyalkylene fibers. Thanks to their only moderate substantivity, the unfixed dye content can be easily washed out of the prints or dyeings from cellulose fibers.
Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers can preferably be dyed in weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium and be printed or fixed, e.g. B. in the presence of acetic acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium metaphosphate, etc.
You can also in the presence of leveling agents such. B. polyoxyethylated fatty amines or Ge mix the same with Alkylpolyglykoläthem, color acetic acid to neutral. and at the end of the dyeing, the bath by adding small amounts of an alkaline-reacting agent, e.g. B. ammonia, sodium bicarbonate, soda, etc., or compounds which react alkaline in. The heat, z.
B. hexamethylenetetramine, urea, dull to neutral or slightly alkaline reac tion. This is followed by thorough rinsing and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid. The dyeings and prints obtained have good light, washing, perspiration, fulling, water, sea water, potting, acid, alkali, rubbing, flue gas, chlorine bath water, bleach (peroxide) and Fastness to dry cleaning (organic solvents).
The dyeing, padding and printing or fixing of the dyes on cellulose fibers is advantageously carried out in an alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc. To avoid reduction phenomena, mild oxidants such as 1-nitrobenzene are often advantageous when dyeing, padding or printing the fibers. 3-sulfonic acid sodium, added.
In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed in the heat. Some of the dyes can, depending on the reactivity of the reactive groups, even at low temperatures. B. 20 to 40 C, colored or fixed.
The addition of certain quaternizable amines, such as trimethylamine or triethylenediamine, or asymmetric dimethylhydrazine, preferably in stoichiometric amounts, accelerates the fixing of the dye on the fiber, so that the fixing temperature can be lowered and / or the fixing time can be shortened.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are particularly notable for their good resistance to anti-crease finishes, and. alkaline or slightly acidic hydrolytic influences as well as excellent wet fastness properties (fastness to washing, perspiration, water, sea water, rubbing, alkali, vulcanizing, chlorine, bathing water, bleaching and dry cleaning). These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not all of the dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber.
The proportion of the unreacted dye is removed from the fiber in these cases by suitable Ope rations, such as rinsing and / or soaps, if necessary using higher temperatures, synthetic detergents such. B. alkylarylsulfonates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl polyglycol ether sulfate, optionally carboxymethylated alkyl polyglycol ethers and mono- and dialkyl phenyl polyglycol ethers are used.
If metal-free reactive dyes are used for dyeing, they are after fixation on the fiber with metal-donating, preferably copper-donating agents in a weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium, preferably at temperatures of 50 to 80 C, and optionally in Ge present aftertreated by organic aliphatic mono- or polyamines.
In the examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 A suspension of 27.6 parts of 2-amino-1-hydroxy-4-carbethoxyamino-benzene-6-sulfonic acid in 100 parts of water, 100 parts of ice and 5 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid is obtained by adding of 29.5 parts of 4N sodium nitrite solution at 3-5 diazotized. After the end of the diazotization is carried out gradually 37.8 parts of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-2 ',
Sodium 5'-disulonate and 10 parts of sodium carbonate at 10-15 and stirred for a further 4 hours to complete the coupling.
The Carbäthoxyaminomonoazo dye is deposited by acidification with 20-25 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid; pH 0.5-1.0) and salting out, filtered off and washed with sodium chloride solution. The moist residue is carried in 250 parts of 3 o / o strength sodium hydroxide solution and heated to 80-90 until the carbethoxyamino group has been hydrolyzed.
The hydrolysis solution is allowed to cool to about 60 and mixed with 30% hydrochloric acid until the pH is 5. With vigorous stirring and reflux cooling, the reaction mixture is added dropwise with a solution of 22 parts of 2,4,5,6-tetrachloropyrimidine in 200 parts of acetone and the mixture is stirred further at 60-65, with the addition of dilute sodium carbonate solution continuously a weakly acidic reaction is ensured.
After 2 to 3 hours, the reflux condenser is removed and the acetone and a small amount of unreacted tetrachloropyrimidine are distilled off by boiling the solution and condensing the vapors.
A solution of 25 parts of crystallized copper sulfate in 250 parts of water is slowly added dropwise at 70 to 80 parts to the solution of the condensation product thus obtained. The pH of the medium is kept at 6.0 to 6.5 by simultaneously flowing in dilute sodium carbonate solution. When the metallization is complete, the dye is salted out by adding sodium chloride and then suctioned off. After drying in vacuo at 80 to 100, the dye is ground.
It is a dark powder that dissolves in water with a brownish red color.
Dyeing instructions 1.5 parts of the dye obtained according to the above information are dissolved in 3000 parts of softened water of 40, 100 parts of mercerized cotton satin are placed in this dyebath and, after 75 has been added, it is heated Parts of calcined sodium sulfate to 90 within 15 minutes and then further 75 parts of calcined sodium sulfate and 60 parts of calcined sodium carbonate are added.
After one hour at 90 °, the goods are rinsed cold and hot, soaped at the boil for 10 to 20 minutes with a solution of 2 g / l of an alkyl polyglycol ether sulfate, then again rinsed well and finally dried. This gives a lightfast and wetfast reddish brown coloration.

Copper complex dye of Example 4 and 1 0/0 contains 3-nitrobenzene-1-sulfonic acid sodium, padded with a peeling effect of about 85%. The material so impregnated is dried.
To fix it, the textile material is moved for about 45 minutes in an 80-90 warm developing bath containing 250 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate and 30 parts of sodium carbonate per 1000 parts of solution. The. The liquor ratio chosen for fixation is 1:10 to 1:50. The material treated in this way is rinsed thoroughly with cold water, then soaped at the boil, rinsed again and then dried. The yellowish brown coloration obtained is extremely lightfast and wetfast.
