der Formel
EMI0001.0014
tragen vorteilhaft mindestens zwei Sulfonsäuregruppen, um die für die Praxis benötigte Wasserlöslichkeit zu besitzen. Andererseits können mehr als .acht Sulfonsäuregruppen kaum in das Farb-- stoffmolekül eingeführt werden. Vorzugsweise enthal ten;
Sie tragen die Su-Ifonsäure- chloridgruppen in den SteAlungen 3 rder Benzolkerne, wenn sie durch direkte Sulfochlorierung hergestellt werden bzw. in den Stellungen 4, wenn sie ;

B. in Ace ton.
.gute Reaktivität mit vegetabilischen Fa sern, animalischen und synthetischen P@olyamidfasern; sie sind. unempfindlich: ,gegen Schwermetallionen wie Kupfer-, Eisen- und Chromionen und reservieren Acetat-, Triacetat-, Polyester-, Polyacrysln;

Process for the production of water-soluble reactive dyes of the phthalocyanine series The present invention relates to a process for the production of water-soluble reactive dyes of the Ph@thalo.cyanin series:
the formula
EMI0001.0014
where PC is a phthalocyanine radical, A1 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, A2 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, A3 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical,
R1 is the radical of an azo carbide, R2 is an optionally substituted, divalent aliphatic, aromatic, cycloaliphatic or araliphatic radical or together with A "A2 and: the two N are a divalent heterocyclic radical, w an optionally:
mono- or disubstituted amino group, and Z is a radical capable of chemical bonding with the substrate, where nm, n, p and q each have a value of at least 1 and at most 3 and .the sum m + n + p + tl at least 4 and is at most 6 and in which,
the dye of the formula (I) contains the number of groups necessary to make it water-soluble to make it water-soluble.
The process for the preparation of these dyes is characterized in that 1 mol of a phthalocyanine polysulfonic acid dichloride of the formula PC - (S02-CZ) s-2 (1i) where s is the sum m + n + p + q means
or a mixture thereof - simultaneously or in sedate order with q moles of an aminoazo dye of the formula
EMI0001.0088
with p moles of a diamine of the formula
EMI0001.0092
Reacts with (m-1) mol of water and with (n-1) mol of an amine H -w, the starting products being selected so
that the final dye contains the number of groups necessary to make water-soluble in water.
As water-solubilizing groups come e.g. Examples include: the sulfonic acid group, the carboxylic acid group, the methyl sulfonyl or ethyl sulfonyl group and the sulfonic acid amide group which is optionally mono-substituted by low molecular weight hydrocarbon radicals. The dyes of the formula (I)
advantageously carry at least two sulfonic acid groups in order to have the water solubility required in practice. On the other hand, more than eight sulfonic acid groups can hardly be introduced into the dye molecule. Preferably included;
the dyes of the formula (1) have four to six sulphonic acid groups, some of which can be replaced by carboxylic acid, alkylsulphonyl or, if appropriate, monosubstituted sulphonic acid anide groups.
It should be noted, however, that the water-solubilizing effect of the carboxylic acid group and the optionally monosubstituted sulfonic acid amide group is strongly pH-dependent.
In the cold, only the alkali metal salts of these groups are effective, while the acid forms are significantly less effective.
Other weak to very weak water-solubilizing groups, such as hydroxyl groups, acetylamino, carbomethoxyamino or carbethoxyamine groups, idisubstituted sulfionic acid amide groups,
are only of secondary importance.
The phthalocyanine polysulfonic acid chlorides and their mixtures used as starting materials are derived from metal-free phthalocyanine or from metal-containing phthalocyanines, for example. B. from cobalt phthalo.cyanin or preferably from nickel or copper phthalocyanine.
They carry the sulphonic acid chloride groups in the steel 3 rs of the benzene nuclei if they are produced by direct sulfochlorination or in positions 4 if they;
are made from the corresponding sulfonic acids.
The aminoazo dyes on which radical R1 is based are preferably water-soluble mono- and disazo dyes, such as. B.

The sulfonic acid amide group can of course be replaced by its mono- or disubstituted derivatives. If the aminoazo compound used is insoluble in water:
or is sparingly or sparingly soluble, it must be ensured that the remainder of the dye neutralizer contains the number of water-solubilizing groups required for water solubility.
The radical R2 is preferably an aliphatic radical, such as
EMI0003.0006
or an aromatic residue such as
EMI0003.0010
or a cycloaliphatic radical such as
EMI0003.0013
EMI0003.0014
The substituents Al, A2 and A3 are preferably hydrogen atoms, or low molecular weight (i.e.
1 to. containing about 5 carbon atoms) alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or haloalkyl radicals or also benzyl radicals. If the radical R2 is aromatic or cycloaliphatic,
so it is advisable to choose hydrogen atoms or aliphatic radicals as A1 and / or A2.
If, on the other hand, the radical R2 is aliphatic, A1 and A2 can be hydrogen atoms, aliphatic or araliphatic radicals and aromatic or cycloaliphatic radicals.
The remainder w is preferably the amino group or a methylamino, dimethylamino, ethylamino, diethylamino, 2r hydroxyethylamino, di (2 hydroxyethyl) amino "2- or 3, hydroxypropylamino, 3-hydroxybutylamino,

The reaction of the phthalocyanine polysulfonic acid chloride with the aminoazofan material and the diamine of the formula (III) can be carried out in organic solution or suspension, e.g. B. in .eine: inert organic solvent, in aqueous-organic or preferably as in aqueous solution or suspension out leads.
It is advantageous to work at a low temperature, for. B.: at 0 to 10 C, or at room temperature or elevated temperature, in weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline Me medium, z. B. in the pH range 6 to 9, in the presence of acid-binding agents.
Optionally after the condensation: with the aminoazo dye and the diamine of the formula (III) any sulfonic acid chloride groups still present are saponified to giveRTI ID = "0003.0238" WI = "30" HE = "4" LX = "1068" LY = "2625"> sulfonic acid groups or with ammonia or a primary or secondary amine is implemented.
The introduction of the acid residues for the preparation of the diamines, of the formula (III) is generally the simplest. By using the (relevant acid halides, in some cases the acid anhydrides. It is preferable to work at low temperatures, e.g.
B. at 0. To 20 C, and in the presence of acid-binding agents such as sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide or sodium acetate in a weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline reaction, for example in the pH range 4 to 9.
For acylation, the carboxylic acid chlorides, as such or in twice to five times the amount of benzene, chlorobenzene, methylbenzene, dimethylbenzene or acetone, dissolved in the aqueous, well-buffered solution of the body bearing the amino group, can be added dropwise, e.g. B. at a temperature of 2-5 C.
The acylation can also be carried out with the anhydrides in the same way.
The introduction of a Dihalagencyanurrestes is best in an aqueous medium at about 0 C and at weak. acidic reaction, e.g.
B. at pH values between 3 and 5, made. The cyanuric halide is used as such in: solid form or dissolved in an organic solvent, e.g. B. in Ace ton.
For the primary condensation products: of a cyanuric halide, it is best to choose a temperature of 30 to 60 and a pH value of 4 to 6, while for the di-, tri- or tetrahalogenpy irimidines temperatures between 40 and 100 'C are most appropriate.
If temperatures higher than about 50 C have to be used, it is advisable to work in vessels equipped with a reflux condenser when looking at the water vapor volatility of individual halogen pyrimidines.
The reaction can be carried out: in a weakly acidic, neutral to weakly alkaline medium, preferably in the pH range 3 to 9. To keep the pH constant, the reaction mixture is either given a
Acid-binding agents such as sodium acetate or a phosphate buffer are added, or sodium or potassium carbonate or bicarbonate in solid, powdered form or as an aqueous solution is added in small portions during the reaction.
Suitable neutralizing agents are, however, also aqueous solutions of sodium or potassium hydroxide. The addition of small amounts of a wetting agent or emulsifying agent to the reaction mixture can accelerate the conversion reaction.
The reaction with the halogen-containing heterocyclic compounds is expediently conducted in such a way that only one halogen atom reacts with an exchangeable hydrogen atom of the amino group.
The phthalocyanine dyes obtained and containing at least one reactive group can be separated out from their aqueous solutions by adding salt, then filtered off and optionally washed.
and then dried. The new reactive dyes of the phthalocyanine series, which carry 2 to 3 water-soluble, laughing groups, preferably sulfonic acid groups, are well suited for the exhaust process for cellulose fibers and for:
acid dyeing of wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers.
Those reactive dyes which have 4 or more water-solubilizing groups, preferably sulphonic acid groups, have good solubility in water, good stability in printing pastes and pad solutions, good compatibility with salts and hard water,
.good reactivity with vegetable fibers, animal and synthetic polyamide fibers; you are. insensitive: to heavy metal ions such as copper, iron and chromium ions and reserve acetate, triacetate, polyester, polyacrylics;
itril, polyvinyl # chiloridt, polyvinyl acetate and polyalkylene fibers. Thanks to its only moderate substantivity, the unfixed color is:
Substance from the prints or dyeings on cellulose fibers can be easily washed out. The dyestuffs are therefore particularly suitable for continuous dyeing and printing of fibers of tie-ric origin, e.g. E.g. wool, silk, - synthetic polyamide fibers, e. B. nylon, of leather, spe ziell vors Cellulo.seffaser, z.
B. cotton, linen and fibers. , from regenerated cellulose, e.g. B. Viskosereyon, Kupferreyon, rayon, as well as mixtures and / or gel form @ these fibers. The optimal application conditions are different depending on the type of fiber and the dyes used.
Animal fibers and synthetic polyamide fibers will preferably be dyed and printed or fixed in an acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of acetic acid, formic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, sodium metaphosphate, etc. You can also in the presence of leveling agents such.
B. polyoxyethylated, fatty amines or geonics of the same with alkyl polyglycol ethers: acetic acid to neutral color ben and at the end of the coloration that bath, by adding small amounts of an alkaline agent, z. B.
Ammonia, sodium bicarbonate or carbonate, or compounds which are alkaline when exposed to heat, e.g. B. hexamethylenetestramine, urea, bit dull to neutral or weakly alkaline reaction. This is followed by thorough rinsing and, if necessary, acidified with a little acetic acid.
The dyeings obtained have good light and wet fastness properties (washing fastness, sweat fastness, fulling fastness, water fastness, sea water, posbtin fastness properties) and good fastnesses to rubbing and dry cleaning (organic solvents).
The dyeing, padding and printing or fixing of the dyes on cellulose fibers is advantageously carried out in an alkaline medium, e.g. B. in the presence of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium metasilicate, sodium borate, trisodium phosphate, ammonia, etc.
To avoid reduction phenomena, mild oxidizing agents, such as sodium 1-nitrobenzene-3-sulfonic acid, are often advantageously added when dyeing, padding or printing the fibers. In the case of cellulose fibers, too, the dyes are usually fixed in the heat.
Some of the dyes can ments depending on the reactivity of the reactive groupings even at low temperatures, eg. B. 20 to 40 C, colored or fitiert.
The addition of certain quaternizable amines, such as trimethylamine, triethylenediamine, or asymmetrical dimethylhydrazine, preferably in stoichiometric amounts, accelerates the fixation of the dye to:
the fiber, so that the fixation temperature can be lowered and / or the fixation time can be shortened.
The dyeings and prints on cellulose fibers are characterized by good light fastness, excellent wet fastness properties (wash, sweat, water, sea water and alkali fastness properties) as well as rub and dry cleaning fastness properties.
These are based on the formation of a stable chemical bond between the dye molecule and the cellulose molecule. Often not the entire amount of dye takes part in the chemical reaction with the fiber.
The proportion of the unreacted dye is determined in these cases by suitable operations, such as rinsing and / or soaps, if necessary using higher temperatures.
Removed fiber, synthetic detergents, e.g. B. alkylaryl sulfonates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl polyglycol ether sulfate, optionally carboxymethylated alkyl polyglycol ethers and mono- and dialkylphenyl polyglycol ethers are used.
In the following example, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 57; 6 parts of copper phthalocyanine are introduced into 270 parts of chlorosulfonic acid. The solution is heated to 140 and held at 140 for one hour. The temperature is then allowed to drop to 70-75 and 75 parts of thionyl chloride are slowly added.
The mixture is stirred for 3 hours at 70-75 and then the mass is dropped onto ice. The precipitated sulfonic acid chloride is slipped off,

The pH value is adjusted to 7 by adding dilute sodium hydroxide solution. During the next 3 hours, the pH value is maintained at 7-8 and the temperature is allowed to rise from 0 to 20 by gradually adding dilute sodium hydroxide solution.
Then 35.7 parts of 4, A: mino-1,1'-azobenzene-2 ', 5'-disulfonic acid and 50 parts of sodium carbonate are added and the mixture is stirred for 48 hours at room temperature. Now the dye is; by adding;
