Description

Inflatable umbrella The invention relates to an inflatable umbrella.

It is known that umbrellas are bulky, and that because of this, they are easily overlooked in various rights by distracted people. We have already tried to reduce the dimensions of the umbrellas by creating retractable umbrellas, but these have a delicate mechanism.

The object of the invention is to provide an umbrella without rigid parts which can fold into a very small package, and which can be inflated when needed.

The umbrella according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a hollow handle provided with a mouth with a stopper, at its lower end, and with a flat chamber at its upper end, a series of hollow ribs forming whalebone office and which are connected radially to the flat chamber, and a roof extended between said ribs.

The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the umbrella, object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows the plan view of an umbrella, and FIG. 2 shows the section along line A-A of FIG. 1.

There are the hollow ribs 1 which extend radially from the flat chamber 2 and between which the parts 3 of the roof are stretched. This is not inflatable.

The handle 4, also hollow, is welded, on its upper part, perpendicular to the chamber 2. On its upper part, it has a mouth 5 which is associated with a plug 6. When the umbrella is deflated, i! 1 is reduced to a very small package. When you want to use it, air is blown into the mouth 5. The umbrella is then inflated by the handle 4, the chamber 2 and the ribs 1 which stretch the roof 3 well between them. The whole therefore becomes absolutely rigid.

There are no metal parts subject to corrosion, nor often delicate and broken mechanics.

Preferably, the described umbrella is made of flexible and lightweight plastic.
