Additional patent to main patent no. 402 022 Ice cream maker The subject of the main patent is an ice cream maker set up for dispensing ice cream in portions, whose freezer container, which also serves as a storage space for the ready-to-serve ice cream, has a pressurized gas space above its ice mix level,
The refill container for the starting mixture is also designed as an overpressure container and its gas space above the ice mix is under overpressure. In the ice cream maker according to the main patent, this refill container is preferably provided with a compressed gas connection opening into its gas space and connected to the freezer container by a connector with a relatively narrow inlet pipe inserted therein, in which compressed gas is added to the ice cream mix before it enters the freezer container.
In a preferred embodiment of the SpeisieeisbDrei- third according to the main patent, the freezer container contains at one end into which the ice-mix feed line opens a chamber separated from the actual freezer space by a wall, free from the agitator, which is briefly referred to below as the inlet chamber.
With ice makers, it is important to keep the rooms containing the ice cream mix as clean as possible and to protect their contents as much as possible against the ingress of contamination. The ice cream maker according to the main patent already partially takes these requirements into account, in that the refill container, designed as an overpressure container, is permanently closed to the outside air and no germ-laden air can penetrate into it from outside.
The present invention simplifies the ice cream maker according to the main patent and also makes it easier to keep it clean by eliminating the inlet pipe, which is relatively difficult to clean. The invention consists in that the inlet chamber of the freezer container has a pressurized gas connection and communicates with the refill container through a connection channel which transmits the pressure into this container.
The refill container containing the ice cream mix and its gas space are also under overpressure here, but this is not fed to that container through a pressurized gas connection located on it, but is exerted on the refill container contents from below via the connecting channel from the freezer container. The connection channel is easily accessible for cleaning. In addition, the compressed gas connection on the freezer container can be used to blow out the latter and the connecting duct.
The compressed gas connection of the freezer container is conveniently located in the upper part of the inlet chamber in the area of its gas space. The connecting channel between the refill container and the freezer inlet chamber is advantageously to be arranged in such a way that it opens into the latter laterally in the area of its filling and, when the filling is stationary, the opening of the connecting channel at the inlet chamber is closed by its contents itself.
The pressure acting from bottom to top in the refill container can be used as a further protective measure against contamination of the filling contained in the ice maker, in that the compressed gas source is switched on automatically when the refill container lid is opened, so that dust can then penetrate through the lid opening or germ-laden ter air counteracting gas flow escapes.
The invention will then be described with reference to the drawing voltage in the following embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows an ice maker according to the invention partially in cross section and Fig. 2 shows the same ice maker in longitudinal section.
The system parts intended for the supply of pressurized gas are added on a smaller scale in FIG.
The refill container 1, which receives the starting mixture, is connected by a connection channel 2 to the inlet chamber 17 of the freezer container 3, which is formed here as a cylindrical vessel. The container 1 is an overpressure container with a correspondingly tightly closing cover 16 and a cooling coil 17 embedded in the thermal insulation 18 surrounding the container.
The duct 2, designed as a pipe bend, opens laterally into the chamber 27 of the freezer vessel 3.
The freezing kettle 3, which is also surrounded by insulation, contains in the upper part of its chamber 27 the connection 4 for compressed gas, in the present case for compressed air, in the form of a lip valve inserted into the kettle wall. When the freezer is full, the uppermost point of the connecting channel 2 is covered by the filling so that it closes off the air space into which the compressed air connection 4 opens from the channel 2 and the container 1.
The compressed air is sucked in by the compressor 12 via a germ filter 13 in a largely cleaned state and pressed via a valve 10 into the compressed air tank 11, which automatically switches off the pressure switch 7 with a pressure gauge 6, a compressor 12 depending on the boiler pressure reached, a safety valve 8 and a drain valve or tap 9 is provided. A tightly closable connector 5 is also provided on the compressed air line,
which can be opened to blow through the line or used to attach a further measuring instrument or the like, but above all can contain a disinfection filter for the compressed air.
The freezing kettle 3 contains a shaft 20, which is led out of the kettle with a seal at 24 and has the pin 25 for connecting the drive. A stripper 21 and a stirring helix 22 are attached to the shaft. The freezer contains the he mentioned, separated by a transverse wall 23 inlet chamber 27 into which the connecting channel 2 coming from the container 1 opens. The usual dispensing device 19 for the finished ice cream is located at the top of the freezer 3.
The lid 16 of the refill container 1 is relatively small, so that when it is opened, only the smallest possible access surface is exposed for dust and other impurities and the air flow that counteracts the penetration of such impurities can develop more easily. A screw cap 26 or other Druckver circuit holds the dachshund 16 firmly. A pressure switch 14 automatically turns on the compressed air source, e.g.
B. the compressor 12, when a pressure drop occurs when the lid 16 is opened in the area of the lid opening. In order to facilitate an intended opening of the lid, an outlet member 15 is provided for lowering the pressure at random. This outlet can also be configured as an electrically remote-controlled solenoid valve.
The illustrated shape of the curved connecting channel 2 and its lateral opening into the A running chamber 27 of the boiler 3 has the advantage that a closed air space is formed without additional partitions or so-called aprons in the upper part of the chamber 27 and the rest of the boiler 3, at least when the agitator is idle becomes. This air space should advantageously have about 1 / a to 2 / s of the freezer volume. The uppermost point of the mouth of the channel 3 at the chamber 27 can, for example, be about / 1o of the boiler radius below the boiler apex in the case of a cylindrical boiler shape.
