Die Erfindung bezweckt ein möglichst einfaches, aber zweckmässig arbeitendes Dosierventil für unter Druck stehende, eine Treibkomponente enthaltende Flüssigkeiten zu schaffen. Das Dosierventil nach der Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es lediglich aus drei Teilen besteht, nämlich einem Aussengehäuse, einem Einsatzgehäuse und einem Ventilkörper dass das Einsatzgehäuse einen Deckel für das Aussengehäuse und eine Dosierkammer bildet und einen elastischen Balg aufweist; dass der Ventilkörper stiftförmig ausgebildet ist, einen in der Dosierkammer beweglichen Bund aufweist und an seinen Enden mit Sackbohrungen versehen ist, in welche Querbohrungen münden;
Fig. 2 denselben Längsschnitt in der Öffnungslage.
Dosing valve for pressurized liquids containing a propellant component
The aim of the invention is to create a metering valve that is as simple as possible, but which works appropriately for pressurized liquids containing a propellant component. The metering valve according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of only three parts, namely an outer housing, an insert housing and a valve body that the insert housing forms a cover for the outer housing and a metering chamber and has an elastic bellows; that the valve body is designed in the form of a pin, has a collar that is movable in the metering chamber and is provided at its ends with blind bores into which transverse bores open;
that the inlet-side transverse bore is open in the closed position of the valve, but closed in the open position by the elastic bellows; that the exit-side transverse bore in the open position is connected to the metering chamber in order to allow the amount of liquid contained in the same to escape under the influence of the relaxing propellant component, and that the collar in the closed position under the action of an elastic pre-tension of the bellows on an annular seat and thereby seals the metering chamber on the outlet side.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows:
1 shows a longitudinal section through the valve in the closed position, and
2 shows the same longitudinal section in the open position.
The valve shown consists of only three parts, namely an outer housing 1, an insert housing 2 and a valve body 3. The outer housing 1 has a downwardly conically tapering casing 4 which is provided with a flange 5 at the top and a base 6 at the bottom , from which a hollow nozzle 7 protrudes downwards. The insert housing 2 forms a cover 8 which has a flange 9 which surrounds the flange 5 in a sealing manner. A cylindrical bushing 10 protrudes downward from the cover 8 and fits into a corresponding guide 11 of the outer housing and is supported on an inner shoulder 12 of the same.
The socket 10 is provided with an inwardly projecting annular rib 13 of triangular cross-section at approximately the level of the shoulder 12 and is extended at the bottom by an elastic bellows 14 which tapers conically downwards and is provided with a bottom 15 which has a central bore 16 which is surrounded at the top by a conical wart 17.
The valve body 3 has the shape of a pin which is provided with a collar 18 which can be moved up and down in the metering chamber 19 formed by the bush 10 and has a smaller diameter than this chamber. The collar 18 lies in the closed position under the action of a bias of the elastic bellows 14 on an annular seat designated 20 and in the open position on the annular rib 13. The valve body 3 protrudes outward through an opening 21 of the cover 8 and is provided with an axial blind hole 22 provided, to which a transverse bore 23 connects below.
The valve body 3 also has an axial blind bore 24 and a transverse bore 25 at the bottom. The lower edge 26 of the valve body 3 has a conical inner surface 27, the steepness of which is somewhat less than that of the conical protrusion 17.
The valve shown is attached to a bottle or the like, e.g. B. by means of a metal capsule, not shown, which is placed on the lid, leaving the protruding part of the valve body 3 free and the edge of which is crimped around a flange of the bottle. The bottle contains a liquid to be sprayed, e.g. B. consists mainly of Frigen, in which a perfume is dissolved. The liquid is in the bottle z. B. under a pressure of about 6 atmospheres. If such a liquid is suddenly expanded to atmospheric pressure, it evaporates extremely quickly. A small tube is connected to the nozzle 7 and extends almost to the bottom of the bottle, in which a freezing atmosphere forms above the liquid level, which presses the liquid to the valve.
In the closed position shown in FIG. 1, the liquid passes through the hollow connection 7, the bores 16, 24 and 25 and past the annular rib 13 into the chamber 19.
When the valve body 3 is pressed down, the elastic bellows 14 is stretched until the collar 1 comes to rest on the annular rib 13, which, however, does not yet produce an effective seal. An effective seal, on the other hand, is achieved in that the bellows 14, in addition to being stretched, also undergoes an inward deformation and thereby closes the bore 25, as shown in FIG. 2. This deformation is caused by the fact that the bellows 14 is surrounded on the outside by liquid at approximately 6 atmospheres, while the liquid located on its inside expands very quickly to atmospheric pressure, because the chamber 19 now via the bores 23 and 22 with the Atmosphere.
The amount of liquid that is in the chamber 19 and in the small space enclosed by the bellows 14 under the annular rib 13 when the valve body 3 is pressed down is driven out to the valve by the relaxation of the Frigen, which is why the Frigen is referred to as the propellant component of the liquid.
An atomizing head of the usual type is normally attached to the upper end of the valve body 3, which sprays the liquid driven out of the chamber 19 laterally when it is pressed and thereby brings the valve body into the open position according to FIG.
The dose of liquid that the valve lets through with each actuation is largely independent of pressure fluctuations in the liquid contained in the bottle, and thus also of its amount and temperature.
The valve described is extremely simple and can be produced very cheaply in large series. Its three parts are preferably made of plastics. In order to increase the elasticity of the bellows part 14 of the insert housing 2, corrugations 14 'can be provided in the same, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG.
Of course, numerous other details can also be varied, e.g. B. the level present in the illustrated cover 8 is not necessary.
