Distribution head for a container containing liquids, powders or similar flowable substances
The innovation relates to a distributor head for a container containing liquids, powder or similar flowable substances, with a closure member and a rod part formed in one piece with this, protruding outwardly from the container, which is used for the purpose of opening a sealed distributor recess extending through the closure member from the closure member is breakable, and with a sponge-shaped applicator member which is attached to the closure member.
The innovation is based on the task of creating such a distributor head in which a hidden under the applicator member arranged, initially sealed distributor recess can be easily opened and in which a clogging of the recess is avoided by a broken sealing part. Furthermore, an obstruction of the opening process or a blockage of the opened distributor recess by the adhesive used to fasten the applicator member should be prevented.
For this purpose, the innovation is characterized in that the sealed distributor extends except, g partially into the rod part, and delimits a thin-walled weakened area that facilitates breaking off the rod part and that the rod part extends completely through the application member and with it to cancel and
Removal enabling end protrudes beyond this.
The closure member preferably has a membrane which is integral therewith, from which the rod part protrudes, the membrane being provided with a wall part which, around the rod part, delimits an area which is separated from the rest of the membrane. The applicator member is preferably attached to the membrane at one end with adhesive, the wall part preventing the adhesive used from penetrating into the partitioned area.
An embodiment of the subject of the innovation is shown in the drawing, it shows:
Fig. 1 shows a distributor head according to the innovation in elevation, partly in section,
2 shows a longitudinal section through the closure member of the distributor head according to FIGS. 1 and 2,
3 shows a longitudinal section through the closure member of the distributor head according to FIGS. 1 and 2,
4 to 8 views similar to FIG. 3 to illustrate further embodiments according to the innovation.
The distributor head 1 illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3 is attached to a container, shown schematically and designated by 2, which contains the liquid, powdery or similar flowable substances intended for distribution. The head comprises a closure member 3 which has a cylindrical part 4 which, for. B. can be attached to the container 2 with an internal thread 5. Instead of the internal thread, however, any other type of fastening, for example an external thread or a snap lock, can be used.
The closure member also has a disc-shaped membrane 6 which is formed in one piece with it and has a central, thickened part or extension 7. Instead, any equivalent central reinforcement can be provided on one of the two membrane surfaces. A rod or rod-like part 8 is formed in one piece with the membrane and is upright, centered on the membrane and the extension 7, in order to protrude outwards from the container. A sealed distributor recess 9 extends axially through the membrane and the extension 7 and for a short distance into the rod 8. The wall of the rod in the area 10 and around the recess 9 is sufficiently thin and weak compared to the material of the rod, so that the Rod can easily be broken off the membrane by either pushing it sideways or twisting it.
The approach 7 or an equivalent reinforcement ensures that the rod breaks as desired without destroying the membrane. A cylindrical wall part in the form of a lip 11 projects upright from the membrane coaxially around the rod 8 and delimits an annular area or gap 12 around the rod 8, which is separated from the remaining part of the membrane and located between the membrane and an applicator member 13 is.
The applicator member 13 is supported by a cylindrical plug made of spongy material, e.g. B. cellular rubber or plastic is formed, which has a substantially flat end 14, which is connected to the corresponding surface of the membrane by means of an IC adhesive, wherein the adhesive is prevented by the lip 11 from getting into the area 12 around the rod 8 to penetrate. The stopper has a central axial recess 15 in which the rod 8 can extend completely through the stopper and can be understood with one end beyond the stopper. This end 16 can be an aid, e.g. B. wear a wing 17, which facilitates the desired breaking of the rod.
The cylindrical part 4 of the closure member can furthermore have a cylindrical shoulder 18 which protrudes from the membrane 6 and supports the placement of the plug.
A cap, shown schematically and designated by 19, is removably attached to the closure member 3 in order to close off the applicator member and the protruding rod end 16 with the wing 17. The cap can e.g. B. in a friction fit overlap the cylindrical radial outer surface 20 of the closure member, which can be easily offset for this purpose.
In use, the cap is removed to expose the wing 17. This wing is twisted or pushed to the side, whereby the force exerted on the rod 8 is transmitted. This movement is not hindered by the application stopper 13, since it is relatively soft and has sufficient flexibility. The movement leads to the rod being broken off immediately at the attachment 7. The rod is then withdrawn from the plug by pulling on the wing in the longitudinal direction of the rod. When fully withdrawn, the rod and wing are thrown away. The contents of the container can now easily exit the container through the open distributor recess 9 into the stopper, in order to be applied or distributed by means of this. The size of the recess 9 is adapted to the flow properties of the substance to be distributed.
The contents of the container quickly enter the spongy stopper through the axial recess in it, although this recess partially closes after the rod has been pulled out.
As already stated above, it is ensured that, during the assembly and use of the distributor head, adhesive is not present in the area immediately adjacent to the distributor opening 9 or cannot penetrate it, so that an otherwise occurring hindrance to the breaking of the rod and / or a partial The adhesive prevents clogging of the discharge.
The integrally formed with the rod 8 closure member 3 is preferably made of a synthetic resin, for. B. high impact polystyrene manufactured. After the plug 13 has been attached with adhesive, the wing 17 is attached to the rod, the wing e.g. B. is made of polyethylene.
The distributor head can be placed on the most varied of shapes of distributor containers, which can be provided with solid walls or with deformable walls to support the distribution.
Fig. 4 shows a modified embodiment of the closure member 3, in which the membrane 6 has a flat conical reinforcement on its side facing the container, which forms a thickened central part 7a. Furthermore, the cylindrical shoulder 18 of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 is omitted.
FIG. 5 shows a configuration similar to FIG. 4, but in which the conical reinforcement is provided on the outer surface of the membrane 6 and forms a thickened central part 7b.
As shown in FIG. 6, both surfaces of the diaphragm 6 are tapered to a flat cone and form a thickened central part 7c. In FIG. 8, the side of the membrane 6 facing the container is provided with a thickened extension 7d. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 8, similar to that according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the cylindrical wall 11 'is not protruded upwards as a lip over the extension 7 and in this case the divided area 12' around the rod 8 is only from the extension 7 limited. The cylindrical shoulder 18 is also omitted.
