Fenêtre pivotante La présente invention a pour objet une fenêtre pivotante, caractérisée par un dispositif de pivote ment comprenant un plateau, de forme général;

Pivoting window The present invention relates to a pivoting window, characterized by a pivoting device comprising a plate, of general shape;
, conical section, engaged in a hollow casing of the same taper, and provided in its central part with a vertical pivot, engaged in a movable cup-shaped bearing housed in the lower, tubular part of the casing , an axis -on which is fixed a cam in contact with the bearing .pouvable journaling in holes of the tubular part of the housing,
a control lever, connected by a rod to the window operating handle being fixed to one of the ends of the axis, located outside the tubular part of the housing, the plate being fixed to the lower cross member of the movable frame of the window and the box being fixed to the corresponding cross member of the fixed frame of said window,
the whole being arranged so that, by actuating the control lever, the cam lifts the bearing and the pivot which rests on it, thus causing the upward displacement of the movable frame of the window, this one then being able to be manually deflected at the desired angle,
the reverse operation of the control lever having the effect of immobilizing the window in the desired position.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device for pivoting the window which is the subject of the invention.
Figs. 1 to 4 show the whole of the device, FIG. 1 being a cross section, taken along the line I-I of FIG. 2, the device being shown in the locked position; fig. 2 being a plan view of FIG. 1;

The fi-. 7 is a view, in sectional elevation, along the line VII-VII of FIG. 8, of a housing.
Fig. 8 is a plan view of FIG. 7.
Fig. 9 is an elevational view, in section, along the line IX-IX of FIG. 10, of a control axis.
Fig. 10 is an end view of the axis shown in FIG. 9.
Fig. 11 is a sectional elevational view taken along line XI-XI of FIG. 12, a pad.
Fig. 12 is an urn seen in the plan of FIG. 11.
The pivoting device in the drawing comprises a plate 1 (Figs. 5 and 6), of generally frustoconical shape, the small base being formed by the lower surface of the plate. In its central part,
the plate is provided with a pivot 2 projecting from the underside of said plate. The plate 1 is fixed to a lower cross member 3 (fig. 1 to 4), in the form of a lying I, forming part of the movable frame of a pivoting window of the carousel type, not shown in the drawing.
For this purpose, the plate 1 is provided with a centering boss 4, of oblong shape, secured in a recess of the same shape of the cross member 3, bolts 5 with a countersunk head housed in the plate being engaged in the web of the cross member 3 and in a plate 6, @ of rectangular shape,
fixed at each of its angles by screws 7 on the cross member 3, said plate being intended to consolidate the assembly of the plate with the cross member.
The plate 1 is -engaged in a hollow housing 8 (Fig. 7 and 8), of cylindrical shape, the inner wall 9 of the housing having the same taper as that of the plate 1. The housing 8 is fixed on a cross member bottom 10 of the fixed frame of the pivoting window by means of bolts 11 with countersunk head housed in the housing 8.
In its central part, the housing is provided with a flange 12 engaged in a hole of the cross member 10.
In the vicinity of the lower end of the glue rette 12 is journaled in two holes 13, 13 'arranged on a diametral line of said collar, a pin 14 (fig. 9 and 10) provided in its central part with a cam 15. This cam is in contact with a movable bearing 16 (fig. 11 and 12), in the form of a cup, housed inside the collar 12.
In the bearing 16 is crimped a ring 17, for example of nylon, surrounding the lower part of the pivot 2, the rotation of which, during the operation of the window, is facilitated by a ball bearing 18, interposed between two washers. 19, 19 ', the bearing and the washers being housed in an annular chamber 20 of the plate 1 (fig. 5 and 6).
On one of the ends of the shaft 14, located outside the collar 12, is fixed a lever 21 (fig. 9 and 10), the end 22, in the form of a fork, being housed in a lateral recess 23 (fi '<B> 7 </B> and <B> 8) </B> of the housing 8. The lever 21 is connected by means of a rod 24 to a fixed operating handle on the fixed window frame.
By pulling on the rod 24 in the direction of arrow f (fig. 3), the pivoting device shown in FIG. 1, which has the effect of bringing the control lever 21 into the position shown in figure 4, the top of the cam 15 lifting the bearing 16 and, consequently, the pivot 2 integral with the plate 1 as well as the lower cross member 3 of the movable window frame.
Because of displacement from bottom to top of said frame, the window can be turned by hand to occupy the position desired by the user, the frame being capable of rotating in horizontal rotation around the lower pivot 2 and a simple pivot fixed under the upper cross member of the fixed window frame.
By returning the lever 21 to the locking position shown in FIG. 3, the plate 7 becomes integral with the housing 8 due to the respective taper of their contact surfaces.
One could realize the plate with its pivot and the housing, for example, of gray cast iron, and the window frames of aluminum alloy.
The pivoting device described has the particular advantage of allowing the movable frame of the window to be locked in any horizontal steering position by means of a slight rotation of the operating handle.
