Description

 <EMI ID=1.1>

The present invention relates to an automatic apparatus for easily digging, in a practical and rational manner.

The appended drawing shows, by way of non-limiting indication, a practical embodiment of the invention.

Fig. 1 is an overall perspective view of the apparatus ready to be applied to a digging tool.

Fig. 2 is a detail view of the cam of the device.

Fig. 3 shows the detail of the operating lever.

Fig. 4 shows the detail of the spade support.

Fig. 5 is a detailed perspective view of the footrest.

The apparatus illustrated in the drawing consists of a cam 1 formed by a round iron guide, bent in the form of an elongated loop, the ends of which are welded to a sleeve tube 2 pierced transversely with a hole 3.

The detailed lever Fig. 3 consists of a tube 4 on which is welded an inclined tubular handle 5, terminated by a transverse handle 6 and provided in its middle part with a yoke 7.

A spade support comprises according to FIG. 4 a tube 8 on which is welded a ring 9 serving as a stop. A hole 10 is made transversely to the upper part of the tube 8.

The footrest is formed, in accordance with Fig. 5 of two symmetrically bent rods 11, connected by welded spacers 12. Another spacer 13 serves as a stop for the movable assembly. Two washers 14 welded to the end of the rods 11 act as a bearing for a bolt 15 serving as an axis of rotation.

A tube 16 is welded to the rods 11 and carries a reinforcement fork formed by two rods, one of which 18 is welded to the washer 14, while the other 19, free at one end, is welded at 17. This rod 19 is free to allow disassembly of the device.

The assembly is assembled by engaging the tube 8

locking of the assembly being provided by a plug engaged in the holes 3 and 10 which are superimposed.

The rods 11, 16 and 17 are then centered by the bolt 15 on the yoke 7, taking care to engage the buckle of the cam on one of the bent rods 11.

The spade is fixed to the lower part of the tube 8 by a screw or by any other means.

The spade is driven into the ground by simply pressing the foot on the footrest. Pulling the arms on the handle 6 of the tube 5 of the handle communicates to the assembly a rotational movement around the bolt axis 15. This rotation determines a combined overturning of the spade thanks to the cam 1 under the effect of its guide in the upper part of the bent rod 11.

The operation is repeated after raising the device to allow the spade to be pushed in again.

A hole is provided for lubricating the moving parts in contact.

Any details changes can be made to the device described
