Fig. 2 ein Horizontalschnitt entsprechend der Schnittlinie C-D der Fig. 1,

Fig. 8 die vergrösserte Darstellung einer Einzelheit.
Device for exchanging insufficiently filled for perfectly filled packs on a packing machine, in particular on a cigarette packing machine
The invention relates to a device for exchanging poorly filled for properly filled packs on a packing machine, in particular on a cigarette packing machine, in which the conveying path of the packs is assigned a device for ejecting incorrectly filled packs, controllable by means of a pack checking device.
In the case of automatic packing machines, for example cigarette packers, for years it has not been enough to simply let the packs run out one after the other, but the finished packs are immediately stacked in boxes or in bundles. For example, with the cigarette packers in use today, five packs are pushed out one on top of the other and five of these five stacks are combined to form a block of twenty-five packs.
If incorrect packages occur and are ejected during this work cycle, the cycle is interrupted. This is particularly unfavorable if the packer is coupled directly to a packer, which could result in incorrect packs, or if replacement packs have to be added by hand beforehand.
The invention aims to remedy this deficiency. It is characterized in that, in addition to the ejection device, a magazine with perfectly filled packs is arranged on the conveying path of the packs and is coupled to the ejection device in such a way that a faultless pack can be inserted into the conveying path after, during or at the same time with the ejection of a defective package.
In the case of packaging machines with final stacking of the transported packs by a pusher, the pusher can be blocked when a defective pack arrives and the defective pack can be ejected by the subsequent pack. But it is also possible, instead of the defective pack, to push a defect-free pack onto the top of the stack from a storage magazine arranged next to the stacking shaft.
However, the device can also work in such a way that the packs are pushed off the top of the stack individually and pushed onto an elevator of a quantity stacking device located behind it and then stacked upwards in terms of quantity and then pushed off in blocks by a quantity pusher onto an outlet plate and that next to the Stacking chute or the bulk stacking chute, a storage magazine of faultless packs is arranged and a releasable ejector slide is provided which, during or after a faulty package has been ejected from the storage magazine, conveys a faultless pack on top of the stack in front of the individual pusher or directly on the elevator of the bulk stacking device. The defective pack can also be ejected by the one conveyed from the storage magazine.
The invention is illustrated in the drawings using two exemplary embodiments.
Figures 1 to 4 show a first embodiment of the invention, namely
Fig. 1 is a vertical section along the line A-B of Fig. 2,
Fig. 2 is a horizontal section along the line C-D of Fig. 1,
3 shows a simplified vertical section after the defective pack has been ejected.
4 shows a plan view.
Figs. 5 to 8 show a second embodiment of the invention.
5 and 6 are vertical sections in mutually perpendicular planes,
7 is a horizontal section corresponding to the section line E-F of FIGS. 6 and
8 shows an enlarged illustration of a detail.
In FIGS. 1 to 4, 5 denotes the machine plate, through the slot 16 of which the bumpers 3 convey the packs 4 in the direction of the arrow. The corner brackets of the storage magazine attached to the track plate 5 are denoted by 14 and the fault-free replacement packs are denoted by 2. 6, 7 is the ejector slide, 8 is a locking nose attached to the slide 7 and 9, 12 is a rotatably mounted pawl with tension spring 13, on which a magnet 10 can act.
The pawl and magnet are carried by an arm 11. With 15 is a brake brush, with 17 a slide and with 18, 19 are lateral web guides.
This device works as follows:
A control storage unit, which is known per se and is not shown, gives the signal that, for example, pack 4 is a wrong pack and must be replaced. The magnet 10 then attracts the pawl 9, as a result of which the ejector slide 6 is released and a reserve pack 2 is pushed in according to the speed of the impact piece 3 that drives the incorrect pack 4 in front of it.
The positions 1 ', 2', 3 ', 4' and in the further course 1 ", 2", 3 ", 4" and 1 "', 2"', 3 "', 4"', to in positions 1 "", 2 "", 3 "", 4 "" the reserve pack 2 has assumed the previous position of the incorrect pack 4 and the incorrect pack 4 at 4 "" leaves the machine track 5 via the chute 17 and into a position not shown Collecting container falls. This process can be repeated several times in a row at any time. The ejector slide 1 is longer than the pack in order to have sufficient time for the process sketched out. The position 1 ', 2', 3 ', 4' must moreover be reached before the impact piece assumes the position 3 ″ so that the replacement pack 2 comes in front of the impact piece 3.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 8, 30 denotes the machine plate, 31 denotes the bumpers, and 47 denotes an ejector lever which is fixedly mounted at 46. The bumpers 31 have recesses 60 for the fork-shaped end of the ejector lever 47 to pass through. 32, 33, 44, 45 are the stack magazine walls, and 34 the lid of the stack magazine is designated. The replacement packs 37 are located in the storage magazine 61. The ejector slide for the replacement packs is designated by 38 and 39 and the bulk ejector by 55, 36. 35, 41, 54 designate brake brushes, 53 a slide, 10 a magnet, 64 a locking nose located on the high-impact slide 66, 68 the lift-up plate, 67 the slide guide and 69 a return spring. 43 is a further pusher, 40 the locking lug of the ejector slide 38, 39 for the replacement packs.
This also includes the pawl 9, 12, the magnet 10 and the return spring 13 according to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4. 42 is an outlet track plate on which the five-fold stacks 57, 58, 59 are continuously ejected. The mode of operation of the arrangement according to FIGS. 5 to 8 is as follows:
It is known that packs, in particular cigarette packs, are pushed up into a stacking shaft at the end of the machine path in order to allow the adhesive seams to dry off. At the upper part of these stacking shafts, the packs are then quantitatively arranged, for example in stacks of five. deported horizontally. Such machines are often limited in length, so that there is no space for a device according to FIGS. 1 to 4.
For this reason, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 8, when a faulty package arrives, the high-impact slide 66 is blocked by the magnet 10 via the pawl 63, 65, so that the faulty package is not lifted, but rather backwards by the next following package Slide 53 is ejected.
Above the stacking shaft, each pack is first pushed off individually by the slide 56. If a defective pack is ejected from below, a replacement pack is simultaneously pushed onto the stacking shaft from a supply magazine of replacement packs 37 arranged next to the stacking magazine by means of the ejector slide 38, 39, which is normally locked via the locking nose 40 by the locking pawl 9, 12, because the magnet 10 attracts the pawl 9, 12 by a control pulse and releases the path for the slide 38, 39. This is repeated as often as a wrong package is ejected from below.
With each machine cycle, the individual pusher 56 pushes the pack lying in front of it onto an additionally arranged lift 43, which conveys the packs up into the bulk stacking shaft 52, from which, as soon as the specified number is reached, in blocks of five packs each into position 57 and then continuing through the following blocks to the further positions 58.
59 etc. are promoted.
The storage magazine is with its base plate 62 by the amount z (FIG. 8) higher than the penultimate pack of the stacking tower 32, 33, since the packs breathe, and the upper level is thereby different. To be on the safe side, the quantities are also stacked with a difference in height h above the discharge plate 42. The safety distance 1 with the stacking tower results from the extent of z.
The brake brushes 54, 35, 41 are arranged to prevent the packs from moving on in an uncontrolled manner.
The impulses for the ejection of defective packs and the introduction of faultless replacement packs can be made dependent on various factors. A replacement pack can also be inserted on its own if a pack has previously been removed from the machine package path, that is, a pack would be missing at the end of the machine package path. Likewise, the supply magazine can be at the level of the quantity stack 52, so that the replacement package would be placed directly on the lift plate 43. This arrangement would give the same function.
In an advantageous, modified embodiment, the faulty pack is not ejected at the end of the machine path, the incorrect pack is carried up through the stacking shaft and either on top of the stacking shaft or, as soon as it is on the lift 43 of the bulk stacker 52, by introducing the faultless packs ejected from the storage magazine arranged next to these devices.
