Articulated presser foot with the presser foot sole pendulously suspended on the presser foot shaft The invention aims to create articulated sewing feet with the presser foot sole pendulously suspended on the presser foot shaft, in which the pendulum path of the presser foot sole is limited by simple means reliably and with high accuracy at the lowest cost.
In the known articulated presser feet, the oscillation of the presser foot sole is limited by a roof-shaped surface attached to the presser foot shaft. It is attached symmetrically to the joint on both sides with the pendulum angle falling. From a manufacturing point of view, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to produce this surface in such a way that the purpose of limiting the pendulum path with the required accuracy is achieved.
If the position of the surfaces in relation to the joint shifts only by the smallest amount, the pendulum path of the sole is different on both sides. Since the joint is very close to the needle hole of the sole, the surface facing the needle is very small, so that its effect as a stop is lost, especially when there are displacements to the joint.
If you set the machine in motion with the presser foot raised, the needle hits the front edge of the needle hole and is damaged or broken. On the other hand, when sewing over beaded material in the forward or backward stitch, the oscillation of the sole is hindered, depending on the displacement of the stop surfaces.
In one direction, the stop occurs too early or too late, depending on the position of the stop surfaces. Costly and laborious reworking, replacement or correction of the presser foot shaft are therefore necessary in such cases in the manufacture of well-functioning sewing machines.
To eliminate these disadvantages, the invention provides an articulated sewing foot, in which the pendulum is limited away from the presser foot sole in both directions by a fixed on one part of the articulated sewing foot, projecting into a hole in the other sewing foot part stop pin.
In. The accompanying drawing shows two examples of execution. 1 shows the first embodiment of the joint seams foot in a front view with a partial section through the joint and the stop hole,
2 shows the articulated presser foot in side view with tensioning device on the presser bar and the position of the needle bar with needle, FIG. 3 shows the second embodiment of the articulated presser foot, in which the shaft includes the presser foot sole, in front view with a section through the hinge and stop hole ,
Fig. 4 shows the articular presser foot according to Fig. 3 in side view, Fig. 5 the articulated presser foot sole according to Fig. 2 oscillated upward, Fig. 6 the articulated presser foot sole according to Fig. 2 oscillated downward.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 denotes a presser rod with its centering cone 2, which receives a mating cone 3 of the presser foot shaft 4. On the presser foot shaft 4 there is a clamping eye 5 which cooperates with a clamping lever 6,
which is pivotably mounted on a holder 7 by the screw 8. A guide pin 9 is also attached to the presser bar 1, which aligns the presser foot in the sewing direction with the aid of the guide slot 10 provided in the shaft 4.
The needle 12 is clamped to the needle rod 11 with the needle clamping piece 13. The thread guide 14 for the upper thread that encompasses the clamping piece 13 is also firmly seated on the needle bar. The sole 15 is articulated to the shaft 4 with the needle hole 16 by the pin 17, which engages in the two hinge bearings.
It also sits in the shaft 4. On striker pin 18, which protrudes into a pre-seen hole 19 in the sole 15 and so limits the oscillation of the sole 15 in both directions.
The second exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from the first only in that the upper 4 with two legs 20 and 21 includes the hinge bearings of the sole 15. The Pendellage tion is achieved by tenon screws 22 which sit on both legs 20 and 21 of the shaft 4. The stop pin 18 is firmly seated in the sole 15, while the bore 19 is located in the leg of the presser foot shaft 21 in this embodiment.
The near foot sole 15 oscillates when forward sewing over beaded material upwards, or after overcoming the thick point downwards, when sewing backwards to and is limited by the stop of the pin 18 in the hole 19 above or below. When the presser foot is lifted, the sole 15 commutes, depending on its embodiment and the location of its focus, forwards or backwards and is limited by the stop of the pin 18 in the bore 19 above or below.
The stop pin 18 can be arranged on one or both sides or continuously like the joint 17.
