B. cyclische, insbesondere aro matische Diamine wie 4,4'-Diamino-diphenyl, 4,4'- Diamino-stilben-2,2'-düsulfonsäure, 1,4- oder 1,3- Diamino-benzol und vor allem 1,4-Diamino-benzol- 2-sulfonsäure und 1,3-Diamino-benzol-4-sulfonsäure in Betracht;
dass im entstandenen Produkt neben mindestens einer acylierbaren Aminogruppe vorzugsweise mindestens zwei Sulfonsäuregruppen vorhanden sind; deshalb geht man z. B. von mindestens zwei Sulfonsäure- halogenidgruppen aufweisenden Phthalocyaninfarb- stoffen aus und setzt sie mit Sulfonsäuregruppen aufweisenden Diaminen um;
So erhält man z.
Both metal-free azo dyes and metal complexes of azo dyes come into consideration, for example those that contain copper, nickel, chromium or cobalt bound in complexes.
From the series of anthraquinone dyes, starting materials that can be used for the present process are those which contain at least one reactive amino group and optionally further substituents in an external nucleus, that is to say in a nucleus which connects to the anthraquinone nucleus via an oxygen atom or is bound with advantage via an -NN group, such as.
B. the aminophenylaminoanthraquinones. Instead of being in an external nucleus, however, the reactive amino group can be bound to the anthraquinone dye molecule directly or via an SO 2 group, possibly also via an alkylene radical. In addition to the actual anthraquinone dyes, i.e. those dyes that have an unchanged anthraquinone ring of the formula
EMI0003.0014
contain, dyes can also be used who are generally known as anthraquinone dyes, such as.
B. the dyes of the dibenzanthrone, the isodibenzanthrone or the dibenzpyrenquinone series and generally those dyes that can be obtained by introducing sulfonic acid groups into acylatable amino groups-containing anthraquinone dyes, eg. B. in so-called vat dyes of the anthraquinone series can produce.
As examples of such anthraquinone dyes which can be used as starting materials in the present process, the following may be mentioned: 1-Amino-4- (3'- or -4'-aminophenylamino) anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid, 1-amino -4- (4'-aminophenylamino) -anthraquinone-2'- or -3'-sulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- (3'-amino-6'-methyl-phenylamino) -anthraquinone-2'-sulfonic acid , 1-Amino-4- (3'-aminophenylamino) - anthraquinone-4'-sulfonic acid,
1-Amino-4- (4'-aminophenylamino) - anthraquinone-2,2'- or -2,3'-disulfonic acid, 1-Amino-4- (3'-aminophenylamino) - anthraquinone-2, 4'-disulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- (4'-aminophenylamino) -anthraquinone-2,3 ', 5-, 2,3', 6-, 2,3 ', 7- or -2,3 ', 8-trisulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- (4'-aminophenylamino) -anthraquinone-2,2', 5-trisulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- (3'-aminophenylamino) -anthraquinone-2 , 4 ', 8-trisulfonic acid,
1-Amino-4- [4 '- (4 "-amino-phenyl) -phenyl-amino] -anthraquinone-2,3" -disulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- [4' - (4 "-amnno-phenylazo ) -phenyl-amino] -anthraquinone-2,2 ", 5-trisulfonic acid, 1-amino-4- (4'-amano-3'-carboxy-phenylamino) - anthraquinone-2,5-disulfonic acid, 1-amino- 4- (3'-aminophenylamino) - anthraquinone-2,5,4'-trisulfonic acid, furthermore 1,5-dioxy-4,8-diamino-anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonic acid, 1,4- or 1, 5-diamino-anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid.
The following should also be mentioned as representatives of the main anthraquinone classes listed in the previous paragraph: aminodibenzanthrone sulfonic acids and amino-isodibenzanthrone sulfonic acids (which can be obtained by introducing two sulfonic acid groups in aminodibenzanthrone or in amino-4sodibenzanthrone); furthermore one obtains z.
B. from one mole of a tri- or tetrasulfonic acid chloride of a colored anthraquinone derivative by partial amidation with one mole of a diamine, for.
B. with one mole of a diaminobenzenesulfonic acid or de ren monoacyl derivatives are very valuable dyes which can be used as starting materials in the present process and which, after hydrolysis of the unreacted sulfonic acid chloride groups and the optionally present acylamino group, contain an acylatable amino group and at least two SO 3 H groups.
From the series of phthalocyanine dyes kom men for the present process as starting materials are those that contain at least one acylatable amino group, preferably in an external core, that is, in a core which member with the Phthalocyanüikern via a binder, z. B. bonded via a -CO- or -S02 -, via a carboxamide group or via a sulfonic acid amide or sulfonic acid aryl ester group.
Instead of being in an external core, the acylatable group can also be bonded to an alkylene chain which is linked to the phthalocyanine molecule, for example. B. is connected via a -S02NH- or S02 group. Both metal-free and metal-containing phthalocyanine dyes of this type come into consideration.
The complex heavy metal compounds of the phthalocyanines containing sulfonic acid groups, for example the iron compounds, can advantageously be used, but especially the phthalocyanines containing sulfonic acid groups, which are cobalt, nickel, copper or zinc, i.e. one of the heavy metals with atomic numbers 27 to 30 , contained in a complex bond.
The dyes that should be mentioned here are the sulfonic acid group-containing or sulfonated copper phthalocyanines which give particularly good results.
Depending on the method of preparation selected, the sulfonic acid groups in the phthalocyanine molecule are in the 4- or 3-position, which depends on whether 4-sulfophthalic acid is used as a starting point for their preparation or whether they are prepared by sulfonation or by direct sulfochlorination of the phthalocyanine .
Such phthalocyanine dyes serving as starting materials in the present process can, for. B. be produced by phthalocyaninesulfonic acid halides (such as those obtained by treating metal-free or metal-containing phthalocyanines with chlorosulfonic acid or
can be prepared from the phthalocyaninedi- bis tetrasulfonic acids by reaction with acid halogenating agents such as phosphorus halides, thionyl chloride or chlorosulfonic acid) with organic compounds containing an acylatable amino group,
which in addition to this acylatable group have a further acylatable amino group or a substituent which can be converted into such a group after the reaction with the phthalocyaninesulfonic acid halide. As such organic compounds come bifunctional organic compounds such as diamines, z.
B. cyclic, especially aromatic diamines such as 4,4'-diamino-diphenyl, 4,4'-diamino-stilbene-2,2'-diisulfonic acid, 1,4- or 1,3-diamino-benzene and especially 1 , 4-diamino-benzene-2-sulfonic acid and 1,3-diamino-benzene-4-sulfonic acid into consideration;
you can also use nitroanilines or monoacyl derivatives of organic diamines and, after the reaction with the phthalocyanine sulfonic acid chloride used, release a new NH2 group by reduction or saponification. When choosing the starting materials, one must pay attention to
that in addition to at least one acylatable amino group, preferably at least two sulfonic acid groups are present in the product formed; therefore one goes z. B. from phthalocyanine dyes containing at least two sulphonic acid halide groups and reacts them with sulphonic acid groups containing diamines;
If diamines free of sulfonic acid groups are used, they must be allowed to react with at most one sulfonic acid halide group of a phthalocyaninesulfonic acid halide containing at least three such groups. So you get z.
B. from one mole of a phthalocyanine tetrasulfonic acid chloride and one to at most two moles of one of the sulfonic acid group-free diamines or
with their monoacyl derivatives, very valuable phthalocyanine dyes serving as starting materials in the present process, which after hydrolysis of the unreacted sulfonic acid chloride groups contain at least two SOsH groups and at least one acylatable amino group, while when using sulfonic acid group-containing diamines such as 1.3 -Diamino- benzene-4-sulfonic acid,
1,4-diamino-benzene-2-sulphonic acid, sulphonic acid group-containing diamino-monoazo dyes or their monoacyl derivatives may react if more than two of the sulphonic acid chloride groups present in the starting phthalocyanine. From the series of epoxies that contain a further epoxy group, butadiene epoxide or diglycide ether may be mentioned, for example.
In the case of epoxides which contain an a-position halogen atom, the epihalohydrins, for example epichlorohydrin, may be mentioned.
The reaction of the abovementioned epoxy compounds with the amino group-containing dyes is preferably carried out in an aqueous solution and advantageously in the absence of alkali. The reaction usually takes place at room temperature without any catalytic additives.
However, the reaction can also be carried out in organic solvents such as benzene or acetone.
In the case of the halohydrins, the reaction probably takes place according to the following formula:
EMI0004.0097
The halohydrin compounds of the corresponding dyes obtained according to the above formula can optionally be converted to the corresponding epoxides by adding about 1 mol of alkali metal hydroxide per mole of halohydrin.
In such cases, the alkali can advantageously be added during the reaction of the epoxy with the amino group-containing dye.
The dyes obtained according to the invention are suitable for dyeing a wide variety of materials such as animal fibers, e.g. B. wool, synthetic fibers, e.g. B. nylon, polyvinyl alcohol, but especially materials made from natural and regenerated cellulose, such as. B. cotton, rayon and paper.
The dyeing process consists of 2 parts, namely the application of the dye to the fiber and the fixation of the dye on the fiber. The stages are expediently carried out as separate operations. The material to be dyed is expediently impregnated with an aqueous solution of the dye at room temperature or only at a moderately elevated temperature and then subjected to a heat treatment, expediently in an air bath of over 100. The impregnation takes place either according to the direct dyeing method, the printing method or the so-called pad dyeing process.
When using dyes containing halohydrin groups, the fixation on the fiber takes place in the presence of at least 1 mol of a base per chlorohydrin group. The alkali hydroxides, the alkali carbonates, in particular sodium carbonate, sodium acetate or trisodium phosphate or tertiary amines may be mentioned as bases.
As a rule, it does not matter whether the dye is first padded on and then the alkali is added, or whether there is alkali in the dyebath.
In the case of dyestuffs containing epoxy groups, especially dyestuffs containing amino groups, dyeing in the presence of alkali can generally be dispensed with. In many cases, however, it also proves to be advantageous to use alkalis such as alkali hydroxides, amines, acids or metal salts as catalysts.
In the following examples, unless otherwise stated, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 42.3 parts of the dye, obtained by alkaline coupling of diazotized aniline-2-sulfonic acid with 2-amino-5-oxy-naphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, are dissolved in 400 parts of water, the solution is neutralized or weakly acidified with acetic acid and stirred at 25 with 46.3 parts of epichlorohydrin for 20 hours. After this time, the epichlorohydrin, which was initially not completely dissolved in the water and forming a second layer, has disappeared.
The reaction is accompanied by a color shift from orange-red to red. The dye is precipitated with sodium chloride and dried at 45-50. Native and regenerated cellulose is dyed in an orange-red, bright shade with the dye obtained according to the method explained in dyeing instructions A or B. The coloring is extremely boil-proof and washable. Even after the printing method set out in the printing instructions, textile prints that are very wetfast are obtained on cellulose fabric.
Example 2 42.3 parts of the dye, which is obtained on alkaline coupling of diazotized aniline-2-sulfonic acid to 2-amino-5-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid, are dissolved in 300 parts of water The solution is neutralized and added to the solution of 43 parts of butadiene dioxide in 200 parts of water. After 8 hours at 25, the solution is evaporated in vacuo.
4 parts of the dye obtained are dissolved in 25 parts of urea, 75 parts of water and 3 parts of sodium hydroxide. A piece of cotton fabric is padded with the solution, squeezed off, dried and the goods are exposed to a temperature of 140 in dry air for 5 minutes. It is then soaped, rinsed and dried. The orange-red color is boil- and soapy-proof.
Instead of butadiene dioxide, another diepoxide, e.g. B. Glykoldiglycidäther and Diglykol- diglycidäther can be used.
Example 3 23 parts of 4-acetylamino-aniline-2-sulfonic acid are diazotized with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in an aqueous, hydrochloric acid solution using the customary method. The diazo compound is coupled with 28.1 parts of 7-acetylamino-1-naphthol-3-sulfonic acid at a pH of 4-6. After the coupling has ended, sodium chloride is used to salt out and filter.
To saponify the two acetyl groups, 500 parts of 4N hydrochloric acid are heated to 80 for 1 hour. After cooling, the solution is neutralized and sodium chloride has recently been added. The dye thus obtained contains two diazotizable amino groups. 21.9 parts of this are dissolved in water, and 46 parts of epichlorohydrin are added to the neutralized solution at 45. Stir until the epichlorohydrin has disappeared, which takes about 5 hours.
The dye is isolated and dried at 50. The colorations according to dyeing instruction A as well as according to dyeing instruction B are blue-violet and very boil-fast.
Example 4 The disazo dye of the formula
EMI0005.0062
is obtained by coupling diazotized sulfanilic acid with metanilic acid, repeated diazotization of the aminoazo dye and alkaline coupling to 6-amino-1-naphthol-3-sulfonic acid.
12 parts of this disazo dye are dissolved in 150 parts of water and made neutral. The solution is heated to 50 and mixed with 15 parts of epichlorohydrin. It is stirred for 5 hours at 50, whereupon the reacted dye is deposited by adding 26 parts of sodium chloride. It provides a wet-fast red on cellulose fiber when dyeing according to dyeing instructions B.
Example 5 90 parts of copper phthalocyanine-3,4 ', 4 ", 4"' - tetrasulfonic acid are introduced into 455 parts of chlorosulfonic acid while cooling with water. The solution is heated to 80 and 180 parts of thionyl chloride are added. The reaction is brought to completion by heating to 75 for 3 hours. After cooling, the acid is poured onto ice and washed out neutral with ice water.
The moist filter cake made of copper phthalocyanine 3,4 ', 4 ", 4"' - tetrasulfochloride is suspended in 300 parts of water and 100 parts of ice and neutralized with alkali. 14 parts of p-formylamido-anihn, dissolved in 100 parts of 1N hydrochloric acid solution, are combined with the suspension at 0 and stirred for 3 hours. The suspension begins to react acidic and is rendered neutral with a dilute alkali hydroxide solution or alkali carbonate solution.
If you continue to stir at 20 and steadily neutralize the resulting acid, after about 20 hours a dye is obtained which is completely dissolved at a pH of 7.5. This is separated out by acidification and filtered. It is redissolved in 800 parts of water and 48 parts of sodium hydroxide and heated to 80 for 2 hours to saponify the formyl group.
After cooling, it is acidified and the precipitated dye with the presumed composition copper phthalocyanine-3,4 ', 4 ", 4"' - mono- (p-aminosulfanilide) -tmsulfonic acid is isolated and dried. A titrimetric determination shows that there is one free diazotizable aromatic amino group per molecule of dye.
20 parts of the dye thus prepared are dissolved neutrally in the form of the sodium salt, and 20 parts of epichlorohydrin are added. After the epichlorohydrin has disappeared, it is salted out with sodium chloride and filtered. According to the processes listed in the dyeing instructions A and B and the printing instructions, the dye provides very wet-fast, turquoise-blue dyeings on native and regenerated cellulose.
Example 6 57.5 parts of copper phthalocyanine are dissolved in 537 parts of chlorosulfonic acid with cooling and heated to 130 parts for 4 hours. After cooling, the mixture is poured onto a mixture of 1000 parts of ice and 290 parts of sodium chloride. The temperature is kept low by adding more ice. The precipitated sulfochloride is filtered off and washed with ice-cold sodium chloride solution.
The moist product is immediately stirred with 300 parts of water and 300 parts of ice to form a suspension and brought to a pH of 7.5 with dilute sodium hydroxide solution.
27.2 parts of 4-formylamido-aniline are dissolved in 200 parts of 1N hydrochloric acid and combined with the dye suspension. Initially, the mixture is stirred at 0 to 10, later at room temperature, the acid released being bound by sprinkling about 32 parts of sodium carbonate. After 20 hours the dye has dissolved at a pH of 7.5. It is separated out by acidification and filtered off.
The dyestuff acid is again stirred up in 1000 parts of water and heated to 80 with 60 parts of potassium hydroxide for 2 hours. After cooling, the alkaline solution is neutralized and mixed with sodium chloride. The dye falls out and can be isolated and dried. The analysis shows that the dye contains 1.4 to 1.6 free, diazotizable amino groups per mole.
20 parts of this dye are dissolved in twenty times the amount of water, adjusted to a pH of 5 to 5.5 by adding acetic acid and shaken with 20 parts of epichl.orhydrin. After 6 hours, the dye is deposited with dilute hydrochloric acid solution, filtered off and dried at 45 ge. When dyeing according to the dyeing regulations A and B, very wetfast, bright blue tones are obtained.
Example 7 0.1 mol of copper phthalocyanine-3,4 ', 4 ", 4"' - tetrasulfonic acid are dissolved in 445 parts of chlorosulfonic acid and heated to 80%. 178 parts of thionyl chloride are added at 75 to 80 with stirring, then the temperature is maintained at 80 for 3 hours. After cooling, it is poured onto ice, the precipitate is filtered and washed with 0 water. The cake is not sucked completely dry and is kept at 0 until further processing.
The chloride of copper phthalocyanine-3,4 ', 4 ", 4"' - tetrasulfonic acid produced in this way is slurried with 100 parts of water and 100 parts of ice and adjusted to pH 7 to 7.5. 37.6 parts of m-phenylenediaminesulfonic acid are dissolved in 400 parts of water from 0 to neutral and combined with the suspension of the sulfochloride. The temperature is initially kept at 10, then for 8 hours at 20 to 30. During this time, the pH of the solution falls continuously and is periodically reset to neutral by adding 2N sodium hydroxide solution. The consumption of lye of the named strength varies between 120 and 140 parts.
It is then stirred at 25 with 9 parts of concentrated aqueous ammonia solution. Final volume is approximately 800 parts.
The dye is then deposited with 300 parts of saturated sodium chloride solution and 130 parts of solid sodium chloride at 40 to 50 and pH 5.5, filtered and again dissolved under alkaline conditions. To remove ammonia, steam is passed into the solution for one hour. After cooling, the solution is brought to pH 7 to 7.5 and diluted to a volume of 2000 parts. Now at 20 160 parts of epichlorohydrin are added over the course of 3 hours with vigorous stirring. After the mixture has been stirred for a total of 20 hours, the epichlorohydrin has disappeared as a separate layer.
The dye is then deposited and isolated by adding 400 parts of common salt. It is dried at 50 in a vacuum. Dyeing instructions 3 parts of the dye thus obtained are dissolved in 100 parts of water, 8 parts of sodium hydroxide solution 19 Be and 30 parts of urea. A piece of cotton is padded with the solution and fixed for 5 minutes at 140 in a dry air bath.
The color is boil-proof and soapy-proof. Example 8 10 parts of the dye obtained in the reaction of 1 mol of copper phthalocyanine 3,3 ', 3 ", 3"' - tetrasulfochloride with 1.5 to 2 mol of monoacetylethylenediamine and alkaline saponification of the The remaining sulfochloride groups and the N-acetyl groups are dissolved in 200 parts of water and the solution is neutralized. At 20, about 10 parts of epichlorohydnin are allowed to act for a long time with stirring.
The dye is then separated out by adding 10 parts of 1N hydrochloric acid solution and filtered. When the dye is colored according to dyeing instruction A, a washable blue is produced on cellulose.
Similar results are obtained if instead of one mole of copper phthalocyanine-3,3 ', 3 ", 3"' - tetrasulfochloride of copper phthalocyanine-3,4 ', 4 "; 4"' - or -4,4 ' , 4 ", 4" '- tetrasulfochloride (produced from the sulfonic acids with thionyl chloride).

prepared according to the information of the German Patent No. 852588, Example 3, by reacting copper phthalocyanine with oleum and with co-hydroxy-N-methylphthalimide and subsequent saponification of the phthalimide group, are dissolved in 200 parts of water as the disodium salt, the solution is neutralized and at 30 30 parts of epichlorohydrin are added within 4 hours. The mixture is stirred for at least 5 hours, after which the dye is isolated by acidification.
The analysis shows that 1 to 2 hydrogen atoms of each primary amino group have been replaced by the hydroxychloropropyl radical.
When the dye, which is padded onto a piece of cotton in an alkaline solution, is thermofixed at 140, an extraordinarily wet-fast blue coloration results. Dyeing instruction A 2 parts of the dye obtained in Example 1 are dissolved in 25 parts of urea, 75 parts of water and 2 parts of sodium carbonate. A cotton fabric is impregnated with this solution on a padder and the excess liquid is squeezed off so that the fabric retains 75 to 1001 / o of its weight in dye solution.
The fabric impregnated in this way is dried and exposed to a dry heat of 140 for about 5 minutes. It is then rinsed and soaped at the boil. An extraordinarily wetfast dyeing is obtained.
Dyeing instruction B 2 parts of the dye obtained in Example 3 are dissolved in 100 parts of water. Cotton fabric is impregnated with this solution on the padder and the excess liquid is squeezed off so that the fabric retains 75% of its weight in dye solution.
The goods are getrock net and at 20 with a solution containing 10 parts of sodium hydroxide and 300 parts of sodium chloride per 1000 Tei len, impregnated, squeezed to 751 / o liquid uptake and steamed for 1 minute at about 100. Then it is rinsed, soaped at the boil, rinsed and dried. The result is a boil-fast color.
Printing specification 30 parts of the dye according to Example 6 are dissolved in 339 parts of water, 150 parts of urea are added, a sodium alginate thickening is carried out in 450 parts, 30 parts of potassium carbonate and 1 part are added a 40% by volume sodium hydroxide solution. A cotton fabric is printed as usual with the printing ink thus obtained and dried. Then steam for 5 minutes at about 100, rinse, soap, rinse again and dry. In this way, bright blue printed patterns are obtained.
