Zusatzpatent zum Flauptpatent Nr. 3!06382 Verfahren zur Herstellung eines kupferhaltigen Disazofarbstoffes Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes Nr.306382 ist. ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines kupfer haltigen. Disazofarbstoffes, welches darin be steht, dass man 1 Mol der Tetrazoverbin- dung von 4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethoxydiphenyl mit. 1 111o1 1-Oxy naphthalin-3;
Additional patent to the main patent no. 3 06382 Process for the production of a copper-containing disazo dye is the subject of main patent no. 306 3 82 . a process for the production of a copper-containing one. Disazo dye, which is that 1 mol of the tetrazo compound of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dimethoxydiphenyl with. 1 111o1 1-oxynaphthalene-3;
6-disulfonic acid and 1 mole of 1-Oxynaphtha.lin = 5-stilfonsäure united ver and treated the dye thus obtained with copper donating agents.
This dye is suitable for dyeing cell wool and fibers made from regenerated cellulose as well as polyamide fibers and dyes them in lightfast reddish blue tones. The additional patent no. 310150 relates to a process for producing a similar dye by replacing 1-oxynaphthalene-5-nitric acid with 1-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid.
It has now also been found that a dye with very similar coloring properties is obtained if 1-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid is used instead of the 1-oxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid used in the main patent and 1-oxyitaplithaline-3,8-disulfonic acid is used instead of the 1-Oxynaphthalin-5-su @ lfonsätire uses 1-oxynaphthalene-4-stilfonic acid as an azo component and otherwise proceeds as described in the main patent.
This dyestuff, which is so evident, is similar to its constitution, superior to copper-containing disazo dyes in terms of its drawability on cotton and in some cases in terms of lightfastness.
Example 21.8 kg 4,4'-diamino-3 "3'-dimethoxy-diphenyl are tetrazotized in the usual way. A solution of the sodium salt is added to the filtered tetrazo solution at 0 ° of 30.4 kg of 1-oxynaphthalen-3:, 8-disulfonic acid run and add enough sodium carbonate to produce a clearly alkaline reaction.
When no more tetrazo compound can be detected, a solution of the sodium salt of 23 kg of 1-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid is allowed to flow in and the mixture is stirred with a clearly alkaline reaction until the disazo dye formation has ended. After warming to about 80 and neutralizing with hydrochloric acid, it is filtered and washed with saline solution of 3 B4.
For the purpose of converting it into the copper complex compound, the dye paste is mixed at 80 with 3000 to 5000 liters of water. Add a mixture of about. 50 kg of crystalline copper sulfate and about 10G 1 ammonia water d. = 0.91.
The mixture is then stirred at 90 to 91 for 12 to 24 hours in a closed vessel with a reflux condenser until the demethylating coppering has practically ended. It is salted out with common salt and filtered. The dye dissolves well on addition of sodium pyrophosphate. in water and dyes cotton from a bath containing Glauber's salt in blue tones, whereby the dyebath is exhausted. The colorations are lightfast.
