Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer substantiver blauer
Azofarbstoffe

Process for the production of new substantive blues
Azo dyes
It is known that blue substantive disazo dyes are obtained if e.g. B. tetrazotized 4, 4'-diamino-3, 3 '-dimethoxydiphenyl in an alkaline medium on 1-amino-8-naphthol-2, 4-disulfonic acid to act. The dye colors cellulose in brilliant blue tones and has the following constitutional formula:
EMI1.1
A dye with better light fastness is obtained if tetrazotized 4,41-diamino- 3, 31-dimethoxy-diphenyl is coupled with l-naphthol-3, 8-disulfonic acid and the disazo dye formed is converted into the copper complex.
This dye then has the following constitutional formula:
EMI1.2
Dyes of this type have good lightfastnesses, but are not particularly resistant to overcooking.
The object of the invention is to produce new dyes with properties which are improved in this regard in particular.
It has now been found that valuable blue substantive dyes are obtained if 1 mole of tetrazotized 4,4'-diamino-3, 3'-dimethoxydiphenyl is successively mixed with 1 mole of acylated or aroylated 1-amino-8-naphthol-3, 6-disulfonic acid and 1 mole of acylated or aroylated 2-amino-5-naphthol- - 7-sulfonic acid in an alkaline solution and then the disazo dye formed with the addition

conversion of an organic base in an ammoniacal medium with copper sulfate to the copper complex. The dyes obtained in this way have the following constitutional formula:
EMI2.1
in which X stands for an acyl or aroyl radical.
Compared to the prior art, the new dyes have improved resistance to boiling, significantly better leveling properties and better lightfastness.
Example: 12.2 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3, 3'-dimethoxydiphenyl are dissolved in 100 parts of water and 24 parts of hydrochloric acid (200 BG) and diazotized at 8-100 ° C. with 14 parts of sodium nitride. The solution of 18.1 part of 1-acetylamino-8-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid and 10 parts of sodium carbonate in 150 parts of water is then allowed to flow into this mixture over a period of 15 minutes. 50 parts of sodium chloride are now added, and the solution of 14.1 part of 2-acetylamino-5-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid and 5 parts of soda in 100 parts of water are quickly added at 00C. The coupling is ended after 10 hours. The dye is salted out with 50 parts of sodium chloride and filtered off with suction, then slurried in 400 parts of water, mixed with 10 parts of ammonia solution (d = 0.91 g / cm) and warmed to 80.degree.
A solution of 25 parts of copper sulfate and 50 parts of ammonia solution in 250 parts of water and 5 parts of monoethanolamine are then added and the mixture is heated to 95-100 ° C. for 7 hours. Then 20 parts of sodium carbonate are added, 100 parts of sodium chloride are salted out and suction filtered. Drying at 80-90 ° C. gives the dye as a blue-black, crystalline powder. On cellulose fibers, it gives a very even, brilliant blue coloration with good lightfastness and boil-fastness.
