Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 9. September 1897 ab.Patented in the German Empire on September 9, 1897.
After the p-nitro niline red and ice burgundy generally appeal and broad Has found use, there has also been a need for an equivalent ice black asserted.
We have now succeeded in obtaining such a black by adding tetrazodiphenyl and its analogues on the fiber with ß 1 .ß 2 -amidonaphtol or ß 1 ß 2 -dioxynaphthalene or. their sulfonic acids couple. The fact that a pure black arises is all the more striking because, as is well known, the products obtained so far by coupling the components mentioned represent soluble violet colors.
This striking phenomenon can be explained most simply by the assumption that in the mode of operation chosen by us, the components are in proportion to the same molecules react while the violet dyes mentioned above act on 1 molecule of tetrazo compound contain two molecules of the other components.
Folgendes Beispiel mag die Verwendung der neuen Erfindung für Druckzwecke veranschaulichen: The following example may illustrate the use of the new invention for printing purposes:
48 g Benzidin, 310 g Eis in kleinen Stücken und go g Wasser werden gemischt, hierzu setzt man 131g Salzsäure von 210B. und läfst hierauf langsam 327 g Nitritlösung (145 g Nitrit auf 1 kg Wasser) hinzufliefsen.48 g benzidine, 310 g of ice in small pieces and go g of water are mixed, are employed for this purpose 131 g of hydrochloric acid of 21 0 B. läfst and then slowly 327 g nitrite solution (145 g of nitrite per 1 kg of water) hinzufliefsen.
Von der erhaltenen Lösung giebt man 370 g zu einer Mischung von 548 g Traganthschleim (Verhältnifs 100:1000) und 82 g essigsaurem Natrium und druckt die so erhaltene Paste auf Baumwollstoff, welcher mit einer Lösung von 15 g ßjßg-Dioxynaphtalin-ßg-sulfosäure, 15 ecm Natronlauge von 360B., 300 g Wasser, 50 g Türkischrothöl und 620 g Wasser gepflatscht wurde.370 g of the solution obtained are added to a mixture of 548 g of tragacanth mucilage (ratio 100: 1000) and 82 g of sodium acetic acid, and the paste thus obtained is printed on cotton fabric, which is mixed with a solution of 15 g of β-dioxynaphthalene-β-sulfonic acid, 15 ecm sodium hydroxide solution of 36 0 B., 300 g water, 50 g Turkish red oil and 620 g water was splashed.
Mart gets a deep, pure black, which is acid and alkali and that Withstands laundry and light very well.
The shade can be changed by adding certain metal salts; Thus a greenish black is obtained by adding chromium acetate to the above printing paste, and a reddish black by adding copper sulphate. Instead of benzidine, other diamines can be used: instead of the dioxynaphthalene disulfonic acid, the non-sulfated β x β 2 -dioxynaphthalene or β x β 2 - amidonaphthol or its β 3 - or β 4 -sulfonic acid.
If our new invention is to be used for dyeing purposes, z. B. Cotton impregnated with an alkaline solution of ßj ß 2 -dioxynaphthalene sulfonic acid, then dried at a moderate temperature and then drawn through a tetrazodiphenyl solution mixed with sodium acetate, whereby a deep black, true coloration is achieved.
The new process has no relation to the process of patent no. 82774. In the process mentioned, however, a P 1 ß 2 -dioxynaphthalene sulfonic acid is used, but only for the preparation of primary disazo dyes by the action of two molecules of a diazo compound on 1 molecule of this acid. The dyes obtained in this way are only suitable for dyeing wool. If one tries to represent them on the cotton fiber, one only obtains brown, not washable dyeings, while with our new process a washable black is obtained.
Nor is the new process related to that of Patent No. 86848. In this patent, the fact that CL 1 β 3 or CL 1 β 4 amidonaphtol has the ability to couple with 2 molecules of diazotized p-nitroaniline is discussed Used to generate black dyes on the fiber. If you apply the same procedure to the ß x ß 2 -Amidonaphtol BEzw used by us. its sulfonic acids, only unsightly brown nuances are obtained. It is only when using the tetrazo compounds of the ρ-diamines that, as we have found, with the aid of ß x ß 2 -amidonaphthol and its sulfonic acids, a deep, washable black is achieved.
