Electric vehicle lantern The present invention relates to an electric vehicle lantern, inter alia rem, for example, on taillights for bicycles and vehicles of this type, whose Later nengehäuse made of resilient mate rial, such. B. rubber exist and have an inwardly open recess for guiding the base of the incandescent lamp.
In the known lanterns of this type, this housing recess serves over its entire depth both for guiding and for holding the incandescent lamp base, which is under a more or less strong clamping connection with the cylindrical wall delimiting the recess.
As a result, this wall, especially when the housing is usually made of rubber, adheres so firmly to the metal bulb base over time that replacing a defective bulb is difficult, especially when it comes to bicycle taillights from In The interior of the housing is so limited that the operator can only grasp the incandescent lamp as a necessity and therefore the replacement of an incandescent lamp is only possible if it can be removed easily. It has been shown that removing defective bulbs forcibly in order to replace them with new ones leads to considerable damage or loss.
Destruction of the wall delimiting the exceptions can lead, as a result of which the entire lamp housing becomes unusable if the lamp holder and the housing are made in one piece. As a result, the whole lantern must then be replaced with a new one.
The present invention overcomes these shortcomings of the known vehicle lanterns of the type mentioned in that the edge of the housing recess delimiting the wall part is formed by a radially resilient, collar-shaped extension made of elastically flexible material which protrudes into the housing interior and is provided with holding means is that cooperate with at the root of the remaining part of a smooth, cylindrical upper surface having incandescent lamp base be sensitive holding means.
In this case, the bulb base is only loosely guided in the housing recess and therefore has no tendency to adhere to the wall delimiting the recess, where the retaining means, which are frictionally adjacent, are located directly on the opening, which are from the outside is easily accessible so that it is easily possible to use a suitable tool, e.g.
B. a screwdriver to properly separate the mutual holding means from each other 'if they adhere so tightly that loosening the light bulb would otherwise cause difficulties. On the other hand, the Haltemit tel in combination with the aforementioned base guide enables an incandescent lamp attachment that is satisfactory in every respect and that withstands all practically occurring vibrations.
The drawing shows in the vertical central longitudinal section an embodiment of the subject of the invention He applied to a bicycle rear light.
The lantern shown has a housing 1 made of elastically flexible material, preferably made of rubber, the back of which is formed by .eine end wall 2, which has a curvature corresponding to the back of the usual rear mudguards of a bicycle on the outside. In the rear wall 2 a hole is provided through which a fastening screw 3 is carried out, the shaft of which, as illustrated, is plugged through a corresponding hole in the back of a bicycle fender 4 and tightened by means of a nut.
On the opposite side of the wall 2, the housing is open and closed with a glass disc 5, the edge of which engages in an annular groove in the housing. It can be removed by appropriate elastic deformation of the housing, where Lich is accessible from the outside through the housing interior.
The housing 1 has in the upper part adjacent to the wall 2 an inwardly open zy-cylindrical recess 7 for guiding the metal base 8 of an incandescent lamp 6. The edge of the wall delimiting this recess is partially formed by a jumping into the interior of the housing, with respect to the recess radially resilient, collar-shaped extension, which is made of one piece with the housing and therefore the same elastically flexible material as the latter.
This extension is seen ver with a holding means for the lamp base forming annular bead 10, which protrudes inward and fits into an annular groove 9 located at the root of the base 8 and engages positively. In the remaining part, the base 8 has a smooth, cylindrical surface which fits, but sits loosely in the recess 7, so that the incandescent lamp base is guided in the recess 7 over the entire length of this smooth part.
In the shown position of use of the incandescent lamp, the middle contact 11 of the same rests on the end 12 of the wire 13 of a power supply cable 14, which is led in through a housing opening central to the recess 7 and is secured against being pulled out by a metal plate 15 with which the Wire 13, e.g. B. is firmly connected by soldering. In order to ensure good contact with the central contact 11, the plate 15 can also have a resilient contact tongue which rests on the central contact 11 with a force fit.
The side contact of the incandescent lamp formed by the cylindrical part of the base 8 rests on a resilient metal strip 16 which is passed through a suitable recess in the bead 10 and a metallic reflector 17 is attached by means of the screw 3 -unter Zwischenenschal th. As a result, the strip 16 is in electrically conductive connec tion with the mudguard 4 and thereby with the frame of the bicycle, which is connected to one pole of the power source, not shown, to the other pole of the wire 13 is connected.
To remove the bulb 6, it is detected by hand after removing the disk 5 and pulled out of the recess 7, the bead 10 yielding accordingly by virtue of the elastic elasticity and the springiness of the collar-shaped extension. The reinsertion of an incandescent lamp is carried out analogously by pressing the base into the recess 7 under corresponding temporary expansion or displacement of the bead 10, which automatically snaps into the groove 9 when the base is fully inserted and by means of a form-fitting, non-positive contact Secures the bulb against unintentional loosening or loosening.
Deviating from the representation in the drawing, the mutual Haltemit tel of the incandescent lamp can also be formed in the opposite way, in that the edge of the collar-shaped housing extension has an annular groove on the inside that fits and frictionally over a lamp base located at the root of the incandescent Ring bead engages.
The wall part delimiting the housing recess behind the extension can also be formed by a metal incandescent lamp socket, which is inserted detachably and has the design of a conventional metal incandescent lamp socket on the inside, so that it is also possible to use matching, not having the aforementioned holding means Usual incandescent bulbs to be able to use if, in the event of need, a bulb of the type described should not be at hand.
For the same purpose, it is also possible to provide the wall delimiting the housing recess itself with a female thread, in which optionally incandescent lamps with appropriately designed base can be used, wel cher has no holding means cooperating with the extension. Incandescent lamp bases that do not have a uniform screw thread, but rather only lateral projections that allow the base to be screwed into the nut thread can also cooperate with such a nut thread.
Instead of the annular needles and annular beads, the mutual holding means can also consist of mere lateral projections of one part and indentations of the other part that match these. For example, the annular bead 10 by several Aussparun conditions, such as one for performing the Me tallstreifens 16 has been mentioned, be divided into individual, peripheral spaced parts, z. B. in three parts, which ensure that the bulb socket is held securely.
