Device for spot welding. The present invention relates to a device for spot welding, in particular small parts whose contacting faces are for example rounded and tend to slide with respect to one another.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises means for bringing the parts to be welded into contact with one another, and a stop intended to act on one of the two parts in order to exert the welding pressure.
The device according to the invention can be used advantageously for welding the handles, horns, hinges, pendants, hinges, tubes, etc. to watch boxes.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view with partial section of the device.
Fig. 2 is seen in. partial elevation according to II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 schematically represents the electrical circuit of the device.
The device shown comprises a frame 1. of insulating material, of which two opposite sides 1 'and 1 "each have a hole. In these two holes, which are aligned, is engaged a rod 2. This rod is provided, at its engaged end. in side 1 ', a chicken screw 3 bearing on said side and allowing the rod to slide longitudinally in frame 1; moreover, the latter is guided, at its other end, in side 1 " said frame by a rubber support 4.
This end of the rod carries a stud 5 removably fixed in the rod by means of a screw 6; this stud is thus adaptable to the various internal shapes of the part A that it must wear, in the particular case a watch case.
To the side is articulated the end of the arm 7, which has a longitudinal slot 8 in which passes an axis 9, the whole so as to allow a longitudinal displacement of the arm 7. The latter is provided with its other end of a pivot 14 around which pivots a lever 11 carrying an adjustable stop 12 by means of the chicken screw 13. The arm 7 also carries a pin 14 whose position is. axially adjustable by means of a chicken screw 15. The arm 7 is biased by a res out 16 in the direction of the rod 2, but it is prevented from coming, at rest, in contact with the rod, this thanks to a screw 17.
Pin 7.4 is used to carry the second part to be welded, in this case a handle B which has a hole through which it is threaded onto the pin.
Fig. 3 represents the electrical circuit of the device; the current is brought, on the one hand, to the pin 14 by the arm '7 and, on the other hand, to the rod 2.
The operation of the device is as follows: The watch case A is placed on the stud 5 and the weld handle is threaded on the pin 14. This handle is brought into contact with the case by the arm 7 and is held in place. correct position against this box by the stop 12 which is actuated by means of the lever 11 and which allows the welding pressure to be exerted. Next, the worker engages the current by means of a pedal (see fig. 3).
It is clear that, in the case where the part B does not have any hole through which it can be threaded onto the pin 14, the latter is replaced by other fixing means.
