Dispositif pour réunir deux véhicules. La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif pour réunir deux véhicules, carac térisé en ce qu'il comporte une rotule fixée, par l'intermédiaire d'une tige, à l'un des véhicules, et une tige fixée à l'autre véhicule et comportant deux mâchoires, l'une au moins de celles-ci étant pivotée, des moyens étant en outre prévus pour actionner cette mâchoire mobile de façon à serrer la rotule susmentionnée.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention.

Le dispositif représenté comporte, d'une part, solidaire d'un premier véhicule, une tige 1 comprenant deux mâchoires 2 et 3, et, d'au tre part, une rotule 4 reliée par l'intermé diaire d'une tige 5 à un deuxième véhicule.
La tige 1 est munie d'une partie filetée 6 sur laquelle est destiné à se déplacer un écrou 7 auquel, à cet effet, sont fixés les bras 8 et 9 ; cet écrou 7 peut presser, par l'inter médiaire d'une bague 10 et d'un ressort 11, contre un corps cylindrique 12, lequel en cou lissant sur la tige 1 peut faire pivoter la mâ choire 2 dans le sens de la flèche 18, de fa çon à emprisonner et à serrer la rotule 4.
Dans les surfaces en regard de la bague 10 et du corps 12 sont ménagés les évide ments circulaires 14 et 15 respectivement, dans lesquels sont engagées les extrémités du ressort amortisseur 11.
La mâchoire mobile 2 est pivotée, en face de la mâchoire fixe 3, au moyen d'un axe 16, par l'intermédiaire d'une fourchette 17, dans laquelle -est engagé un bossage 18 mé nagé sur la tige 1.
Des tenons 1.9 que possède la mâchoire 2 sont destinés à venir en prise avec des mortaises 20 prévues sur les bords de la mâ choire 3 pour éviter tout mouvement. relatif desdites mâchoires une fois fermées. Lorsqu'il s'agit de réunir deux véhicules; la rotule 4 figée à l'axe 5 de l'un est enga gée entre les mâchoires 2 et 3 dont est munie la tige 1 solidaire de l'autre, puis l'écrou 7 est actionné au moyen des bras 8 et 9, de fa çon que le corps cylindrique 12 se déplace dans le sens de la flèche 21, ce qui a pour ré sultat de rendre la rotule 4 solidaire des mâ choires 2 et 3, par conséquent l'un des véhi cules de l'autre.
En lieu et place d'une mâchoire mobile, on peut également en prévoir deux; la deuxième étant munie, par exemple, d'un te non pouvant être engagé dans une mortaise prévue dans le bossage 18, ce tenon compor tant un orifice où viendrait s'adapter l'axe 16.
Le dispositif représenté permet de réu nir rapidement deux véhicules sans utilisa tion de crochets et de chaînes dont l'usure est rapide.

The device shown comprises, on the one hand, integral with a first vehicle, a rod 1 comprising two jaws 2 and 3, and, on the other hand, a ball joint 4 connected by the intermediary of a rod 5 to a second vehicle.
The rod 1 is provided with a threaded part 6 on which is intended to move a nut 7 to which, for this purpose, the arms 8 and 9 are fixed; this nut 7 can press, by means of a ring 10 and a spring 11, against a cylindrical body 12, which by smoothing the neck on the rod 1 can cause the jaw 2 to pivot in the direction of the arrow 18, so as to trap and tighten the ball joint 4.
In the opposite surfaces of the ring 10 and of the body 12 are formed the circular recesses 14 and 15 respectively, in which the ends of the damping spring 11 are engaged.
The movable jaw 2 is pivoted, opposite the fixed jaw 3, by means of an axis 16, by means of a fork 17, in which a boss 18 is engaged on the rod 1.
Tenons 1.9 which the jaw 2 has are intended to engage with mortises 20 provided on the edges of the jaw 3 to prevent any movement. relative of said jaws once closed. When it comes to bringing together two vehicles; the ball 4 fixed to the axis 5 of one is engaged between the jaws 2 and 3 with which the rod 1 integral with the other is fitted, then the nut 7 is actuated by means of the arms 8 and 9, way that the cylindrical body 12 moves in the direction of the arrow 21, which has the result of making the ball 4 integral with the jaws 2 and 3, consequently one of the vehicles of the other.
Instead of a movable jaw, two can also be provided; the second being provided, for example, with a te which cannot be engaged in a mortise provided in the boss 18, this tenon comprising an orifice where the pin 16 would fit.
The device shown makes it possible to quickly reunite two vehicles without using hooks and chains, the wear of which is rapid.
