En partant d'une source de courant con nectée en 61 (fig. 6), le circuit de contrôle électrique comprend, montés en série avec le bobinage de l'électro-aimant 2 de commande de débrayage: quatre interrupteurs 62, 62a, 62b et 62e d'arrêt manuel, normalement en position fer mée, disposés aux quatre .coins du métier ou en tout autre endroit désiré; un interrupteur 63, normalement en posi tion fermée, dont l'ouverture est commandée par le casse-chaîne lorsque casse un fil de draine; un interrupteur 64, normalement en posi tion fermée, dont l'ouverture est provoquée par un manque de fil de trame;
Loom equipped with an electrically controlled mechanical braking device. In most weaving looms, the reciprocating movement of the shuttle is controlled by a device called a stopper, the purpose of which is to prevent accidents to the fabric during manufacture, such as in particular that known under the name of shuttle grip.
A device of this type is made up of different members including, among others, a rod provided with a bit at each of its ends and returned by a spring. This rod moves with the leaf and is lifted by the movement of the braking lever each time the shuttle enters its box, which increases its penetration force. In the event of an untimely stop, the two bit bits each meet one of the two stops fixed on each of the frames of the loom.
To intervene, this device requires the use in combination of several members and always causes a rather sudden stop by dragging., Sometimes, the rupture of certain parts of the loom.
The subject of the invention is a weaving loom provided with an electrically controlled mechanical braking device, characterized in that the inteivent.ion of the mechanical braking device is placed under the control of an electrical device whose movable member actuating the braking device is put out of action by closing the excitation circuit of said electrical device, circuit comprising, in series with the winding of said device, switches normally in the closed position, but of which the The opening can be caused by control organs, such as breaker and.
chain breaker or manual intervention by the operator of the trade, said circuit, connected to a current source, only being completely closed by the arrival of the shuttle in the correct position in its box, switches, normally. in the open position, being further arranged to be able to be controlled manually in order, when the loom is restarted, .de short-circuit the switch left open by a lack of weft.
The appended schematic drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the loom which is the subject of the invention: FIG. 1 is an elevational view, in partial section, of the frame of the loom and of all of its mechanical device in the braking position.
Fig. 2 is a partial view showing. only the mechanical braking device in the released position.
Fig. 3 is a partial view, in side elevation, showing the position of a connecting rod actuating levers acting on the brake.
Fig. 4 and 5 are detail views showing, respectively in profile and from the front, the means for releasing the action of the brake.
Fi-. 8 is the diagram of the electrical connections for checking the mechanical braking device. From the electrical point of view, it is necessary to excite, at the desired moment, an electromagnet. e 2 placed on the leg 3 of the clapper of the loom, to attract its movable frame 4 and lift a pawl 5 which is articulated to it and which can oscillate at 6 on said clapper leg 3.
To fully understand the operation of this: braking device, we will first describe the mechanical operation of this device comprising a single brake constituted by a self-locking band brake.
If the loom has to be stopped, the latch 5, which has remained in the low position shown in fi g. 1, comes into engagement with a head 7 of a double lever 8 which can oscillate at 9 on the frame of the loom.
This lever fulfills two functions: When it is driven by the leaf leg 3, in the direction of arrow 11, this lever 8 drives, in the same direction, a connecting rod 13 articulated to a crank 14 (fig. 3) wedged on a shaft 10 which is also integral with a crank 16 to which is articulated one of the ends of an angled connecting rod 17. The other end of this connecting rod 17 is articulated at the end 18 of a double lever, integral with 'a sleeve 19 (fig. 3) loose on a shaft 21, the other end 22 of this lever carrying a roller 23.
This sleeve 19 also carries a crank pin 24 to which is fixed the free end of a brake band 25, the other fixed end of which is anchored at 15 to the frame of the loom.
The end of the connecting rod 13 can slide in the articulation which connects it to the crank 14, and outside this crank is mounted a spring 26 which bears, on the one hand, against a washer 20 resting against the crank 14 and, on the other hand, against a stop 27 held in position by tightening nuts 28 blocking it at the threaded end of said connecting rod 13.
It can therefore be seen that when the connecting rod 13 is moved by the live force of the leaf 3 in the direction of arrow 11, an elastic and energetic pressure, due to the compression of the spring 26, will be felt against the end of the crank. 14 and will tend. at. turn it in the direction of arrow 29.
By the crank 16, this movement will be transmitted to the connecting rod 17 and by it to the crank 18 integral with the sleeve 19. The rotation of this sleeve, in the direction of the arrow 31, and, through it, of the crankpin 24, will exert traction in the direction of arrow 32 on the brake tape 25 which will act on the periphery of the plate 30 mounted on the shaft 34 of the loom.
Simultaneously, the foot 33 of the lever 8, by oscillating, will push back, in the direction of the arrow 40, a rod 35 coupled to a crank 36 secured to the same shaft 37 for controlling the clutch as a cam 38. This displacement ment of the cam, in the direction of arrow 39, moves away a boss 41 which raised. the roller 23. By falling into the hollow 42 of this cam, this roller allows a traction spring 43 to act on the lever 22. The action of this spring is therefore added to the action of the spring 26 for energetic braking , by the brake tape 25, of the plate 30.
To release the loom from this mechanical braking, the lever 22 (fi g. 1 and 5) must be lifted in order to remove the action of the springs 26 and 43 on the brake tape 25. For this, a cam 44 is fitted. loose climb on the shaft 37. By means of a pedal 49, returned by a spring 50 and pivoting at 51, one of the ends of a connecting rod -16 is moved, the other end of which is articulated to a crank 47 So lidary of the cam 44. By making this cam oscillate, its boss 48 is brought under the roller 23, thus lifting the lever 22.
The electric control device, which intervenes to prevent the actuation of this braking device, consists in closing the circuit. excitation of the electromagnet 2 which, by lifting the latch 5, makes it escape the head 7 of the lever 8 in the movement of the bat as 3 forwards. trade, in the direction of arrow 11.
Starting from a current source connected at 61 (fig. 6), the electrical control circuit comprises, connected in series with the coil of the clutch control electromagnet 2: four switches 62, 62a, 62b and 62nd manual stop, normally in the closed position, arranged at the four corners of the loom or at any other desired location; a switch 63, normally in the closed position, the opening of which is controlled by the chain breaker when a drain wire breaks; a switch 64, normally in the closed position, the opening of which is caused by a lack of weft thread;
a group of two switches 65 and 6: 5a., normally open, and connected in bypass with respect to each other and each having a terminal connected to ground, for the return of current to the source , itself connected to ground. These two switches, each placed on the bump of the ship boxes, close the control circuit when they are closed by the arrival of the shuttle in good time in its box.
In addition to the above switches, two switches 66 and 66a, one on each side of the leaf, are closed manually when restarting to neutralize the action of switch 64 by shorting it when it has been opened. by a lack of frame.
The switches 66 and 66a, closed to restart, cannot remain in this position since, in normal operation, they would prevent the operation of the weft; they are therefore arranged such that at the end of the forward travel, a stop acts against their movable member in order to automatically cause them to open after the machine is restarted.
Indeed, if the lack of weft opened the switch 64, when restarting the loom, the control circuit, although closed by one of the switches 65 or 65a, would remain open following the opening. of the switch 64, so that before the. end of the first shot, the braking device would again be actuated by the latch 5 remained in its lower position since the electro-magnet 2 would not have been excited to lift it.
To enable this start-up, the operator of the loom therefore manually closes one of the switches 66 or 66a bypassing as long as the switch 64 remains open. The control circuit can then be closed normally by the arrival of the shuttle in one of its boxes.
The operation of the loom shown is therefore very simple. With the exception of the switches 65 and 65a placed in the shuttle boxes and the normally open restart switches 66 and 66a, all other switches are normally closed. Consequently, if the operation of the loom is normal, the arrival of the shuttle in one of its boxes closes the control circuit and causes the lifting of the tab 5, thus preventing it from activating the control device. braking.
If a shuttle does not arrive in the correct position, the control circuit remains open and the latch 5, which remains in the lower position, actuates the braking device.
If the arrival of the shuttle in one of its boxes has properly closed the circuit, the braking device is actuated when one of the switches 63 or 64 has remained open as a result, respectively, of a broken warp thread or of a lack of weft thread.
Finally, the opening of the circuit causing the braking device to intervene can still be caused, at any time, by the operator of the trade opening any of the manually operated switches 62, 62a, 62b or 62e < / B> for whatever reason.
