Briquet de poche. La présente invention a pour objet un briquet de poche du type comprenant une molette destinée à agir sur une pierre pyro- phorique pour provoquer l'allumage d'une partie de mèche qui s'étend à l'extérieur d'un réservoir de combustible.
Ce briquet est caractérisé en ce que la molette est reliée au couvercle par l'intermé diaire d'un axe commun monté à rotation sur un support, en ce qu'un organe de préhension est articulé par l'une de ses .extrémités sur la partie arrière du couvercle et monté coulissant sur le corps du briquet, l'extrémité libre de cet- organe étant maintenue élastiquement en contact avec le corps du briquet., et en ce qu'une tige est sollicitée par un ressort. pour agir sur une came solidaire du couvercle, de manière à faire pivoter eelui-ci d'une posi tion ouverte à une position fermée.
Dans une forme d'exécution particulière, le briquet peut être agencé de facon à recevoir l'extrémité d'un mandrin, notamment. d'un eray on on d'un porte-plume, ce qui le rend ainsi très pratique.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du briquet faisant l'objet de l'invention.

Le briquet représenté comprend un réser voir de combustible a, de préférence cylindri que, ayant un diamètre un peu plus grand que celui d'un crayon ordinaire ou d'un porte- plume, ce réservoir comprenant, à sa partie supérieure, un support 1 sur lequel est monté à rotation un couvercle 2 relié à un axe 3 solidaire en même temps d'une molette 4 de frottement. Un tube 6 ,est disposé à l'intérieur du réservoir et présente une embouchure 5 en regard de la molette 4, le fond du tube étant fermé par une vis 7. Un ressort 8 est monté dans ledit tube 6 pour presser une pierre pyrophorique 9 contre les dents 10 de la molette 4.
Sur la partie supérieure 11 du briquet est, en outre, ménagée une ouverture 12 à travers laquelle sort l'extrémité 13 d'une mèche contenue dans le réservoir a.
Un organe de guidage 15 est. disposé sur le corps 14 du briquet, cet organe étant. formé par une bande métallique repliée en forme de U dont les parois latérales 16 sont munies chacune d'une rainure 17 recevant. une che ville transversale 18 susceptible de coulisser, cette cheville étant fixée aux parties latérales 19 du corps 20 d'un organe de préhension b dont la partie supérieure 21 est, articulée sur des oreilles 22 faisant saillie vers l'arrière du couvercle 2.
L'organe de préhension b comprend une partie s'étendant vers le bas, adjacente au corps 14 du briquet, et dont l'extrémité libre 23 est maintenue élastiquement en contact avec le corps du briquet, de telle sorte que ledit organe b constitue un organe de fixation du briquet sur le bord d'une poche de vête ment.
Le couvercle 2 présente à l'arrière une découpure en 24, dont les deux bords 25 sont excentriques par rapport à l'axe de rotation 3 et commencent près des oreilles 22 avec leur point le phis rapproché de l'axe dans la zone médiane du couvercle. Un des bords constitue une came 26 solidaire du couvercle et coopé rant avec l'extrémité 27 d'une tige 28. Cette tige 28 est logée dans un tube 29 monté dans le corps du briquet et fermé à sa partie infé rieure par une vis 30, un ressort 31 étant monté dans le tube 29 pour solliciter la tige 28, dont l'extrémité 27 traverse une ouverture 32 ménagée dans la partie supérieure du ré servoir a.
La tige 28 agit sur la came 26 cons tituée par le bord 25 et exerce sur celle-ci, grâce au ressort 31, une pression telle que le couvercle 2 tend à rester en position fermée, comme représenté aux fig. 1 et 5.
L'organe dé préhension b présente un ren flement 37 pour permettre à l'usager d'exer cer une pression sur ce renflement afin d'abaisser le couvercle 2 en tirant l'articula tion 33 du couvercle 2 vers le bas, obligeant ce couvercle à tourner autour de son axe 3 et à découvrir l'a mèche 13. En même temps, la molette 4 frotte sur la pierre 9, formant. des étincelles qui allument la mèche.
Lorsqu'on relâche le renflement 37, la tige 28, sollicitée par le ressort 31, agit sur la came 26 de telle manière que la pression exercée sur celle-ci, du fait. de l'excentricité de la came 26, provoque la rotation du cou vercle 2 qui retourne à sa première position, l'organe b étant en même temps tiré vers le haut et coulissant par rapport à l'élément de guidage 15 pour retourner dans la position représentée à la fig. 1. Le fond du réservoir est. prolongé par une pièce tubulaire 34 permettant de fixer le bri quet sur l'extrémité 35 d'un mandrin 36 cons titué, par exemple, par un crayon ou un porte plume, comme représenté à la. fig. 2.
Le briquet décrit. est de fabrication simple, robuste et esthétique, pouvant être fabriqué à un prix de revient. peu élevé.

The lighter shown comprises a fuel tank a, preferably cylindrical, having a diameter a little larger than that of an ordinary pencil or a penholder, this tank comprising, at its upper part, a support 1 on which is rotatably mounted a cover 2 connected to an axis 3 integral at the same time with a friction wheel 4. A tube 6 is arranged inside the reservoir and has a mouth 5 facing the wheel 4, the bottom of the tube being closed by a screw 7. A spring 8 is mounted in said tube 6 to press a pyrophoric stone 9 against teeth 10 of wheel 4.
On the upper part 11 of the lighter there is also an opening 12 through which the end 13 of a wick contained in the reservoir a exits.
A guide member 15 is. disposed on the body 14 of the lighter, this member being. formed by a metal strip folded in the shape of a U, the side walls 16 of which are each provided with a groove 17 receiving. a transverse city plug 18 capable of sliding, this pin being fixed to the lateral parts 19 of the body 20 of a gripping member b, the upper part 21 of which is articulated on lugs 22 projecting towards the rear of the cover 2.
The gripping member b comprises a part extending downwards, adjacent to the body 14 of the lighter, and the free end 23 of which is held elastically in contact with the body of the lighter, so that said member b constitutes a member for fixing the lighter on the edge of a clothing pocket.
The cover 2 has a cutout at the rear 24, the two edges 25 of which are eccentric with respect to the axis of rotation 3 and begin near the ears 22 with their point the phis closer to the axis in the middle zone of the lid. One of the edges constitutes a cam 26 integral with the cover and cooperating with the end 27 of a rod 28. This rod 28 is housed in a tube 29 mounted in the body of the lighter and closed at its lower part by a screw 30 , a spring 31 being mounted in the tube 29 to urge the rod 28, the end 27 of which passes through an opening 32 made in the upper part of the tank a.
The rod 28 acts on the cam 26 constituted by the edge 25 and exerts on the latter, thanks to the spring 31, a pressure such that the cover 2 tends to remain in the closed position, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 5.
The gripping member b has a bulge 37 to allow the user to exert pressure on this bulge in order to lower the cover 2 by pulling the articulation 33 of the cover 2 downwards, forcing this cover to turn around its axis 3 and to discover the wick 13. At the same time, the wheel 4 rubs on the stone 9, forming. sparks that light the fuse.
When the bulge 37 is released, the rod 28, biased by the spring 31, acts on the cam 26 in such a way that the pressure exerted on the latter is due. of the eccentricity of the cam 26, causes the rotation of the cover 2 which returns to its first position, the member b being at the same time pulled upwards and sliding relative to the guide element 15 to return to the position shown in fig. 1. The bottom of the tank is. extended by a tubular part 34 for fixing the bri quet on the end 35 of a mandrel 36 constituted, for example, by a pencil or a pen holder, as shown in. fig. 2.
The lighter described. is simple to manufacture, robust and aesthetic, which can be manufactured at a cost price. not high.
