Description

Self-winding watch movement. The object. of the present invention is a self-winding watch movement in which the barrel shaft is. rotated into a bridge. independent under which the barrel ratchet is located, no attachment point for the other members of the automatic winding mechanism being located on said bridge. independent. The accompanying drawing represents a watch movement constituting one embodiment of the object of the invention and described below by way of example. the watch by means of feet 7 and a single screw 8.

These last elements are the only elements of attachment of the mass to the movement and. have .their point of attachment. like the rest of the other parts of the automatic winding mechanism (screws 9 and pins 10 of the lever and the ratchet. 4), apart from the barrel bridge 11. The latter is therefore independent and maintains, by its two screws fixing 12, only the barrel 13 and its ratchet 14 located under said bridge (Fig. 2) and a blade 15 forming the spring of the ratchet pawl. Fig. 1 is a plan view of this movement. Fig. 2 is a partial section along the broken line II-II of FIG. 1.

The winding mass 1 of the movement shown is pivoted on a journal 2 and drives with it the cam 3 through which the winding takes place. The rotational movements of cam 3 are. transmitted to an auxiliary ratchet 4 of the automatic winding mechanism via a lever carrying two pawls engaged with the ratchet. auxiliary and always pulling it in the same direction.

The journal 2 is secured to the free end of a curved tongue 5 integral with a solid heel 6 fixed to the frame of the movement. As the ratchet 14 is placed under the bridge 11, the fixing screw of the ratchet is unnecessary and the pivot 16 of the barrel shaft in bridge 11 may be of a significantly smaller diameter. only if this tree had to support the ratchet on the bridge. 11 and be tapped to receive the fixing screw.

To facilitate removal of the barrel bridge 11, the latter is indented at 17, conforming to the profile of the curved tongue 5.
