Additional patent to main patent no. 291811. Process for the production of a trisazo dye. The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a trisazo dye. The process is characterized in that the diazo compound of 4- (4 "-amino-benzoylamino) -4'-oxy-3'-earboxy-1,1'-azobenzene with 2- (4'-amino-benzoylamino) - 5-oxy-naphthalene-7-sttlfonic acid couples and further diazotizes the aminodisazo dye formed and with 1.
11o1 1., 3-dioxy-benzene combined.
The new trisazo dye obtained is a red-brown powder which dissolves in water and concentrated sulfuric acid with a red color and colors cellulose in pure yellow-red tones.
Example: 28.5 parts of in a known manner by coupling diazotized 1-amino-4-nit.roben7o1 to 2-oxy-benzene-1-carboxylic acid and subsequent reduction of the nitro group or by diazotization of 1-acetylamino-4-amino-benzene,
Coupling with 2-oxy-benzene-1-carboxylic acid and subsequent saponification of the amino monoazo dye produced are dissolved in 220 parts of water of 70 as the sodium salt. 22.5 parts of 4-nitro-benzoyl chloride and 6.6 parts of soda are introduced.
When a sample that has been taken out no longer diazotizes, 13.6 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfide are added, the temperature is increased to 80, and this temperature is maintained for some time, 120 parts of sodium chloride are added and the mixture is filtered off. The aminoben7oy- lated monoazo dye thus obtained is slurried in 600 parts of water and 5.5 parts of 100% sodium hydroxide solution, ver see with 7.6 parts of sodium nitrite and concentrated at 35 to 68 parts of hydrochloric acid. and 68 parts of water were dropped.
When the diazotization has ended, coupling is carried out with an aqueous solution of 35.8 parts of 2- (4'-aminobenzoylamino) -5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid in the presence of 15 parts of sodium bicarbonate at 20.
The sparingly soluble disazo dye is filtered off at 90, suspended in 1000 parts of water and 1.6 parts of 100% strength sodium hydroxide solution at 10 and, after the addition of 7.6 parts of sodium nitrite, diazotized by adding 48 parts of 30% strength hydrochloric acid. After 6 hours, the suspension is coupled with a solution of 11.0 parts of 1,3-dioxy-benzene and 55 parts of soda.
After 24 hours the trisazo dye becomes. the formula

350 parts of table salt are added while hot, filtered off and dried. Creates a red-brown powder that dissolves red in both water and concentrated sulfuric acid. The dye dyes cellulose in pure, yellow, pungent red tones, which have a remarkable resistance to water and make them look pure white.
