Sink with a removable standpipe built into its frame, which serves as a drain plug and as an overflow pipe. In particular, for kitchens, sinks have become known, which have a built-in, removable stand pipe in its framework, which serves as a drain plug and overflow pipe. In these known designs, the standpipe is provided at the top with a handle which covers the upper mouth of the pipe.
The present invention relates to a sink, which is characterized in that the standpipe has an upwardly open mouth part at its upper end, which protrudes over the frame of the basin and below which there is at least one side inlet opening serving as an overflow in the standpipe The whole thing in such a way that, even when the sink is blocked, the pourable can be brought into the drain in a straight line through the standpipe.
Embodiments of the subject invention are shown in the accompanying drawing, namely shows: Figure 1 part of a device with sink and standpipe in side view, cut along a vertical plane, Figure 2 is the front view of part of Figure 1, also in vertical section, FIG. 3 the top view of the mouth part present at the upper end of the standpipe, FIG. 4 shows another design of the mouth part of the standpipe and FIG. 5 shows a variant of FIG.
In FIG. 1, 10 denotes a sink which is only partially visible and has a base 11 and a frame 12 running all around. The bottom 11 is provided with an outlet opening 13 which is in communication with a drain connection 19. Around the outlet opening 13 is a cone-shaped extension 14 which is held with the interposition of elastically resilient sealing rings 15 and 16 with conical bearing surfaces by means of a Ge threaded connector 17 on the outlet nozzle 19. The outlet nozzle 19 has a seat 18 for an annular plug 20,
which is firmly arranged at the lower end of a standpipe 21. The latter is removably installed in the frame 12 of the sink 10 and has at its upper end an upwardly open Mün extension part 22 which projects beyond the frame 12 upwards. This mouth part be seated a funnel-shaped recess 23 which is wider than the standpipe 21 at its upper end, and the upper edge of which is approximately kidney-shaped according to FIG.
The mouth part has a circumferential edge 24 which protrudes vertically downwards from the upper end of the funnel-shaped recess. The outer surface of this edge is provided with ribs 25 running in the circumferential direction, which increase the grip of the mouth part, so that it can be conveniently used as a handle to operate the stand pipe 21 for the purpose of draining or damming the basin 10. The mouth part also has the upper end of the standpipe 21 outside and inside overlapping sleeve 26, by means of which it is firmly connected to the pipe in Ver. The sleeve 26 has two projections 27 on the outside.
The number of these could, however, also be larger or smaller. The frame 12 of the sink 10 is provided with recesses into which the aforementioned projections 27 engage when the standpipe is in the position shown, in which its ring 20 closes the drain. However, if the standpipe is pulled up a little and rotated through a certain angle, the projections 27 can sit on the frame 12, whereby the pipe is secured in such a position that the drain is open. The whole Mün training part 22 is preferably made of a plastic. Below the socket 26, the standpipe is provided with some inlet openings 28 which serve as an overflow. But there could also be a single such opening.
If the standpipe is in the position shown, the ring 20 closes the drain. The basin 10 is dammed up when you add a liquid to the same. The level of this liquid can not rise higher than the openings 28 are arranged on the standpipe 21, since the liquid can then flow off according to the solid arrow NEN. Even if the basin 10 is dammed, waste material, such as dirt or liquids, etc., can be given in a straight line into the drain through the mouth part 22, the funnel-shaped recess 23 making it easier to bring the waste material into the standpipe.
If one wishes to drain the contents of the sink 10, the pitot tube at the mouth part 22 is raised slightly so that the contents can flow off according to the dashed arrow. In this position, the pipe can be secured as described after a small turn.
The resilient connection of the pool floor 11 with the drainage nozzle 1.9 brought about by the sealing rings 15 and 16 allows any tensions in the pool caused by temperature fluctuations to be compensated for.
In order to prevent the waste material thrown into the mouth part 22 from escaping through the inlet openings 28, the inner wall 29 facing the standpipe 21 can, as can be seen from FIG , as indicated in Fig. 4, be provided, which the latter tend to direct the waste in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the standpipe.
In order to achieve the purpose, a conical insert sleeve 32 could be provided in the standpipe 21, above the A running openings 28, as can be seen from FIG.
