Fig. 1 und ? zeigen den Vorgang bei Fenchtbeginn.
Fig. 3 und 4 zeigen den Vorgang bei Feuehtende.
I'iTird z.
Method and device for changing the wet surface of duplicating machines working with wet liquid. The invention relates to a method for changing the wet surface of working with fire liquid Vervielfä.lti- "ningsmaschinen -unter the maximum amount determined by the machine and consists in
that the change is achieved by adjusting the length and width of the surface to the format to be moistened.
The rotating mirror writing Unidrueker are usually built for a certain paper format, z. B. normal letterhead size. In many cases, however, smaller formats should also be printed in the same device. It also happens that only a small area is to be printed on a large format. In the mirror writing L'rriclruek method, the sheet of paper is now known to be finely moistened with the solvent required for the color.
Devices that have become known to date are set up in such a way that this moistening operation extends to the respective largest format for which the device is built. The consequence of this is that for smaller formats or for smaller areas to be printed on large formats, more fuel than is necessary is used, which makes the process inefficient.
It has been found that this disadvantage can be eliminated very easily if, according to the invention, the length and width of the wet surface can be adjusted to the format to be moistened. This made light, with suitable training, to be able to moisten practically any format or several individual surfaces of any size within the limits given by the device in question. The idea on which the invention is based is based on the assumption that the adjustment of the wet area is broken down into a wet length and a wet width adjustment.
In the device for executing the above-mentioned method, which is also the subject of the inven tion, this is made possible by the fact that the liquid container is suspended and is switched on and off by a switching device controlled by the pressure cylinder when the latter is rotated, while the To damp the sheet of paper certain, from the liquid container to be fed suction roller is divided into a number of roles that can be individually brought into working position.
In the drawing, several Ausfüh approximately examples of a device for implementing the method are schematically Darge provides; The figures show: From a first exemplary embodiment, FIG. 1 shows the means for setting the wet length in elevation in the working position, FIG. 2 shows the same in outline, FIG. 3 shows the means for setting the wet length in elevation in the rest position, FIG.
5 shows the means for adjusting the wet width in elevation in the working position, FIG. 6 shows the same in outline, FIG. 7 shows the same in the rubbing position in elevation, FIGS. 8 and 9 show two further embodiments of the means for adjusting the width of the fire.
In the arrangement according to FIGS. 1 to 4, see the .Original b to be reproduced on the impression cylinder a. On one end face of the cylinder, a number of holes are attached as notches - in the case shown, elongated holes e. Two movable rollers d are arranged next to one another at the pressure cylinder end wall at distances I L and II from the cylinder axis. These rollers are each located on a carrier e that can be rotated around the cylinder axis.
The rollers are now brought into the appropriate position depending on the length to be heated, in that their supports are displaced by a certain angular amount. Here you can see on the roller carriers e resilient pushers f, which can snap into the elongated holes c.
Since the pushers f are visible on the cylinder jacket surface, i.e. are directly next to the original, they can be used to conveniently set the wet length, Lund by putting one pushbutton at the height of the beginning of the text A, the other at the height of the Text end E is set. The in Fig. 2 and 4 hatched area of the original represents. the text is flat.
The dampening device is the pressure cylinder a. upstream. In the present case, it comprises a roller t, which functions as a dampening container and liquid distributor. With this dampening roller t the underlying suction roller 7n works together.
The Feuelit roller t is suspended in a pendulum fashion and presses either by its weight or by an additional spring on the suction roller, unless it is inevitably lifted by the latter.
The lifting should now be controlled according to the length to be moistened on the paper. For this purpose, a wedge g that can be moved in the direction of the arrow is arranged, which allows the dampening roller t to be lowered or lowered depending on the position of the wedge. The wedge is connected to a slider h which can be adjusted and locked and which simultaneously carries two curved pieces i and k .
The slide slides in a guide that is not provided in the line for the sake of clarity and that is fixed, that is, not attached to the printing cylinder, but next to it on the machine frame in which the printing cylinder is stored. The rollers d who take the front pressure cylinder a and roll on the cam tracks.
The curve pieces are shaped so that they are pushed aside by the rollers, whereby the slide and thus the wedge move in the direction of the arrow. When the printing cylinder is turned, the role of the pusher, l, which is set to the beginning of the text and thus determines the beginning of the feuelit, comes to the curve piece i and thereby pulls the wedge y back so that the dampening roller t comes to rest on the suction roller in zii.
This now niinrnts the fire liquid and transfers it to the sheet of paper by rolling on it. The other roll on your pusher E, the one on the end of the text and thus. is set to the end of dampening length, the cam track 1 hits: and pushes the wedge in the direction of the dampening roller t, thereby lifting it off the suction roller ni, and interrupting it. the liquid is released from the container t, to the Sangwalze gn. This ends the moistening process.
The wedge can be adjusted with the exciter l and inaccuracies in production can be compensated for.
Fig. 1 and? show the process at the start of fencing. The role d of the pusher @l has the curve i in Rielitung on the cylinder axis weggedriiekt and thus withdrawn the slide h with wedge g. The fire roller t is now on the Sang roller m. The dampening process is now initiated.
3 and 4 show the process at the end of fire. The roller d of the pusher E has the curve k: pushed away in the direction of the cylinder jacket and thus the slide Ti. With wedge g advanced. The effective wedge surface has. the Feuelit roller is lifted off the suction roller and the fire process is ended.
FIGS. 5 to 9 show means for adjusting the humidity level. In the example shown, the suction roll ni is divided into four roles rii f ... , which are arranged on the common axis 73 and each of which is individually in Working position can be brought. The rolls can have leads or different widths.
They are driven off or against the suction roll individually or several together. If they are pressed on, the liquid is released from the container to the rollers and from these onto the paper. If you press the trigger, the dampening process is interrupted. So it is up to you to control the dampening width as desired by dividing the suction roller into as many roles as you want to have an adjustable section. The subdivision can be carried out down to the line width of the text, so that the parry is only moistened to line width brauelit, as z.
B. in the so-called row pendulum; envünsclit is. The original must then of course be attached to the Drliekuvlnider in such a way that the lines are parallel to the cylinder end faces.
The rollers in can be designed as e 5 is shown in FIGS. 5 to 7; however, other constructive arrangements are also possible. The rollers carry a Be lay on the periphery of rubber or some other material, which by its adhesive effect of the Feuclitwalze the liquid. decreases. Under the Cuinmibelag there is a solid pipe, e.g. B. a metal pipe as its carrier. 1) The metal tube can be shifted eccentrically to the common axis n.
For this purpose, there is an elastic mass between the pipe and the axle, which must be softer than the coating on the pipe jacket. The elastic mass can be made of rubber, e.g. B. sponge rubber, or an equivalent material. Each individual roll of the suction roll is also between two small pressure rolls o1 ... 04, each of which is mounted in a swivel bracket p1 ... p4.
There is a lever with button q1 ... q4 on each bracket. Above these button levers there is a second lever with button r1 ... r4, which has a detent at its lower end into which a lever q1 ... q4 The sensitive pin engages when the lever r1 ... 2.4 is depressed.
I'iTird z. B. the button lever 1.3 presses Niederge (see Fig. 7), the lever q3 is also depressed until its pin latches into the notch of r3 (Fig. 5). This prevents q3 from going up again. When the lever q3 goes down, the roller o3 on the right pushes the suction roller m, 3 into the suction position, that is, it approaches the liquid container in such a way that it also touches the paper running over the transport roller. The paper is moistened according to the roll width%.
If the moistening process is to be interrupted, the button lever q3 is pressed down (Fig. 5). It is released from the latching position, the lever r3 goes up under the influence of a spring and thus enables the lever qs to go up by a spring. Here, the roller o3 is pressed on the left of the suction roller and pushes it out of the sucking position into the rest position (Fig. 7).
By activating the mechanisms for adjusting the wet length and width, the fire area can be varied as far as the positions of the pushers A and E and the rollers rrz1 ... 7rz4 allow. So it is up to you to make the dampening length and dampening width adjustment options as required by the desired division of the dampening area.
8 and 9 show two other constructive solutions using the concept underlying the invention with regard to the wet width adjustment. According to Fig. 8, the suction roll is divided into simple roles without an elastic core, each role has its own axis. It is brought into the working position S by means of the illustrated key lever mechanism via a pressure roller. If the pressure roller is lifted off, the suction roller falls into the rest position R due to its own weight and the circumferential force of the driving suction roller.
In arrangements in which the force of its own weight and the circumference force of the dampening roller do not act or only insufficiently, the pressing of the suction rollers can be supported by a resilient counter-pressure roller s (Fig. 9).
The counter-pressure rollers on the right o1 ... o, 4 are expediently designed as distributor rollers, for which they are given a rough outer surface. The surface roughness of the man can be brought about by cording, sandblasting or similar methods. The rough surface can, however, also be formed by a rough rubber covering or an equivalent rough covering made of felt or similar material. The task of the distributor rollers is to compensate for any irregularities in the liquid coating on the suction rollers by rubbing this coating.
With the device described, the problem of the line printer can also be solved by dividing the suction roller into as many and as narrow disks as required by the number and width of the lines to be printed.
