Description

Process for the manufacture of phase of discs . The objects of the invention are a method for manufacturing lunar phase indicator discs, used in particular in calendar watches, and a top phase indicator disc obtained by means of this process.

The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the moon phase disc according to the invention.

Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 2 is a diametral section. To manufacture the moon phase disc shown, one can proceed for example in the following way: A thin steel washer is stamped out, comprising a central hole, two holes for the files and a certain number of holes for them. stars; then the steel washer is quenched, a sheet of soft metal, nickel for example, is placed on the ring; a piece of said metal is cut and inlaid by a single stamping operation, in each of the holes, tops and stars; the total surface of the disc is polished and the steel washer is blued.

The moon phase disks thus obtained can be fixed by known means on a moon wheel.

For very thin watches, the teeth are cut directly on the periphery of the steel washer, this size being preferably carried out before quenching.

A second polishing can also be carried out before bluing, so as to produce a slight hollowing out of the surface of the hairs and stars. Moons and stars could have another shape, for example starry or polygonal.

It is obvious that the diameter and the thickness of the moon phase disc can vary according to the calibers. We can also represent the eyes, the nose and the mouth of the moons.

Claims (1)

2. CLAIM I: Process for the manufacture of moon phase discs, characterized in that a die-cut, in a steel sheet, a ron delle and its holes, center, moons and stars, is quenched. washer, place on it a sheet of a soft metal, we cut and inlaid in a single stamping operation, in each of the holes, moons and stars, pieces of said hard metal, we polish the total surface of the disc and the steel washer is blued. SUB-CLAIMS 1. A method according to claim I, characterized in that a second polish is carried out on the files and stars in order to form a slight indentation on the surface of the latter, which gives an impression of sparkle. . 2. REVENDICATION II: Disque indicateur de phase de lune obtenu au moyen du procédé suivant la reven dication I. Process according to Claim I, characterized in that the disc is provided with toothing before the quenching. CLAIM II: Moon phase indicator disc obtained by means of the process according to claim I.
