Die Herstellung- der elektrisch leitenden Verbindung des Anschl.ul3stückes mit dein in eine Bohrung desselben entsprechend den vorgenannten Ausführungsbeispielen hinein gesteckten linde eines, Babels erfolgt zweek- nnässil;
Electrically conductive connection of a connection piece with a cable end. The invention relates to an electrically lei tend connection of a connector such. B. a cable lug for pole heads of Samm lerbatterien, with a hole in the ses piece inserted end of a Ka lever. When connecting a cable shoe with a cable end of this type, the insertion hole for the cable end is either designed as a blind hole or a through hole depending on the type of attachment of the cable.
Sackloclrbolrungen are generally used when the end of the cable is to be attached by soldering or pouring liquid metal, the approach of the cable shoe containing the piercing hole is usually arranged radially to the contact hole of the cable lug on this .. In this arrangement the insertion hole lies. the cable perpendicular to the axis of the contact hole of the cable lug, so that it can have a relatively compact design and the cable has a favorable position that corresponds to most practical applications.
However, the production of a soldered connection or the like is relatively laborious and expensive and can generally only be carried out in a company or a workshop.
In the case of mechanical fastening of the cable, for example by clamping the cable, hammering in a metal mandrel or the like, continuous insertion bores are generally used, with the approach carrying the insertion bore being arranged on the side of the cable lug and tangential to the contact bore of the same . Here, the connection is relatively simple and cheap and can usually be carried out without special operating equipment, etc.
However, since the axis of the Ka belendes is tangential to the contact surface of the Ka belschuhes, the cable lug is given an unfavorable form of use.
The invention is characterized by the fact that the continuous insertion hole for the cable end opens into the cavity delimited by the contact surface of the connector and the cable end is fastened in the insertion hole from the cavity.
As a result, a connection of a cable z. B. created with a cable lug, which combines the advantages of the two known arrangements to see without having their disadvantages mentioned GE. The cable can be attached, for example, by hammering in a metal mandrel and still arranged in an advantageous position for practical use radially to the contact bore of the cable shoe. will. The cable lug can therefore also have a particularly compact and space-saving shape.
Another significant advantage is that the open end of the cable insertion hole adjacent to the cable end is closed by the mating contact during use, so that the cable end and the fastening means for the cable are protected against corrosion without the open end of the drill ring being blocked by special Means and in special operations are closed and sealed., Must.
The drawing illustrates three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention: Fig. 1 illustrates a longitudinal section through a connection of a cable end with a hood-shaped connection part of a cable lug, Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through a connection.
a pipe clamp-like connection part of a cable lug, Fig. 3 shows a cable lug with a cable connected in Aebsrichtung- the contact hole in a longitudinal section along line III-III of Fig. 4 and Fig. -1 is a cross section along line IV-IV of Fig. 3.
The cable lug according to FIG. 1 is provided with a hood-shaped connection part 1, which has a conical connection bore 2, which can be placed on a mating contact piece, for example the pole head of a collector battery. A pierced extension 3 is arranged laterally on part 1 and radially to the bore 2, in the bore of which the end of a cable 4- is inserted.
This Kabeleinsteekbohrung ends in the contact surface of the connection hole '? and is. in the direction of its longitudinal axis also passed through the opposite wall of the connection part 1, so that a window 5 for introducing the Kabelbefestigungsmit means, namely a metal mandrel 6 to be hammered into the cable end, is created.
The fastening means for the cable could also be introduced directly through the bore, if the bore 2 is correspondingly large or the Kabeleinsteek- bohiuing such. is inclined so that its axis passes through the open side of the connection hole \? runs. In this case the window 5 could be omitted entirely.
In the example of FIG. 2, the parts that basically correspond to FIG. 1 have been given the same reference numerals. According to Fig. 2, the Ka belschuh has two pipe clamp-shaped legs 7, the inner surfaces of which can enclose the mating contact approximately halfway.
When placed on the countercontact part, the spaced apart free ends of the legs are to be clamped together through a screw or the like that is to be inserted through the holes 8, not shown. The cable insertion hole in the attachment 3 is arranged in such a way that it penetrates the anselilril3kontal @ t area at the bottom of the space part most encompassed by the two legs 7 and its axis runs through the gap between the two ends of the legs 7.
Through this gap the Me talldorn 6 is hit in the end of the cable 1.
The cable lug according to Fi. 3 and 1 be essentially only consists of a hood-shaped stop part 9, the one continuous, from two conical sections 1.0. 11 has existing hole. The further, -) - section 10 of this hole forms the tinsehlussbohrnng for the mating contact, while the narrower section 11 is the insertion hole for the end of the cable 4.
The end of the cable is. here by pulverized metal powder 12 in the conical bore 11 be strengthened. The fastening means is (ltn # eh the connection bore 10). On the insertion side of the cable, the connection part has a collar 13 in which one end of a self-supporting tube 11 lifted onto the cable goes through:
iiibördeln the federal government 13 is attached. In this way, the cable ends well abge seals on its insertion side. and protects against the harmful effects of acid vapors or the like. On its outer circumference. the connection part 9 is also provided with two lugs 15. These approaches are used to put tools on, pressing on or striking the cable lug 9 on its mating contact.
The example according to FIGS. 3 and 4 results in a particularly small and simple design for the cable lug. This connection is particularly suitable for those cases where the cable is to be in the same Aelisri line as the mating contact engaging in the Bohrtnig 10.
In the connection according to the invention, the fastening of the cable in the plug-in bore can naturally also take place by other means known per se and also by soldering or the like.
In all of the illustrated exemplary embodiments, the free linden tree of the connected cable is covered after the cable insert is plugged onto the mating contact and is protected against the effects of corrosion.
The production of the electrically conductive connection of the connection piece with the linden of a Babels inserted into a bore of the same in accordance with the aforementioned exemplary embodiments takes place in two ways;
prove in such a way, d21> the Aliseliliissstüek with its Eiiisteekbolirun, - over the cable core, which has been completely freed of its sheath for a length of at most fier length of the plug-in hole, is pulled up to a stop which lies in the plane of the end face of the remaining cable sheath,
And that the end of the cable is fastened from the hollow section of the connecting piece in the plug-in bolt.
For fastening in accordance with most of the two exemplary embodiments, a metal mandrel 6 is inserted into the insertion hole from the attachment piece 7 or 7 in such a way that the I ', ilizeldirllte of the cable core fies cable end between your mandrel and the hole. swaiidun; to be fixed.
According to your third embodiment, metal powder 12 is tamped from the Ilohlrauni of the connection piece formed by the conical hole 10 into the insertion hole in such a way that the individual wires of the cable core are clamped between the metal powder and the insertion hole.
