Timepiece. It is known that generally the dials of timepieces rely on feet and rest on wedges, when various organs enter the space created between the dial and the movement.
Now, in certain cases, it is desirable that this space not be encumbered with elements ett # an ,, - er-s to the mechanism for example, and present a free diameter as large as possible. Let us quote among others the case of watches, mainly bracelets, to which one or more discs of a calendar mechanism intended to conceal the dates, names (days or months, in "niches of the dial) have been added.
It is then useful to be able to make at least one disc as large as possible, without having to enlarge the movement for this.
In order to achieve such a result, in the timepiece according to the present invention, the dial has, on its turn, (the fixing lugs oriented in the direction of the movement, to which they are attached.
One will arrange the legs (preferably not exceeding the profile of the entry diameter.
The accompanying drawing shows six embodiments of the object, of the invention, given (by way of example.
Figs. 1 and? are partial sections relating to the first two embodiments. The end. 3 represents a half-dial seen from above.
The end. .1 and 5 are front views relating to the third and fourth embodiments.
Figs. 6 and. 7 are partial sections relating to the fifth and sixth forms of execution.
According to the first embodiment (fig. 1), the frame or movement generally represented by the hatched profile 1 is mounted on the dial ?. Between the dial and the movement remains a space 3, here containing a disc -l, bearing signs or inscriptions intended to appear in an aperture 5 on the plate of the dial.
The connection between dial and. movement is provided by at least two tabs 6, provided on the periphery of the dial and folded in the direction of the movement .. to which the screws 7 are fixed.
The casing diameter being located in S, we see that the. leg 6 is located inside the latter, which is why the movement denies (for example its plate) comprises a corresponding cavity 9 also passing through the battue 10 and receiving the leg. In the example shown, this cavity is a groove, but it could. also be a mortise.
By attachment to the movement or to the frame of the movement, is meant attachment to the plate or to any part integral with the latter, for example also to an enlargement circle. It can be seen that the thickness of the tab is less than that of the dial plate. It is obvious that these two thicknesses could also be equal, or that of the legs vary from one point to another of the latter.
Here, the screw serves not only to hold the dial, but also to fix its height above the movement.
The arrangement shown in FIG. 1 provides a free space of this height, extending, with the exception of the thickness of the legs, over the entire casing diameter of the movement.
In the second embodiment, according to the partial section of FIG. 2, the arrangement is similar to the previous one, with the exception that the height of the dial is determined by a seat 11, obtained by removing part of the thickness of the end of the tab, and which is intended to rest on a predetermined point of the movement, for example on the battue 12, as shown. The screw 13 then only serves to immobilize the tab and, consequently, the dial, without it being necessary to adjust it precisely.
Fig. 3 shows how one can obtain a dial with three legs, by cutting these last ones with the board 14, as shown in phantom at 15 for example, and by folding them at right angles, 16 representing a window and 17 the central hole.
But it is obvious that the tabs could also be brought back to the dial, and. their number differ from three.
The underside of the dial can be machined. The embodiments of FIGS. 4 and 5 show two other ways of fixing the exact height of the dial plate above the movement.
According to the example of FIG. 4, the end of the tab 18 is notched in the shape of a Tour che, which covers a pin 19 placed in the countersink 20 of the movement, generally this countersink is only done on the plate.
It is then the position of the pin, in cooperation with the bottom of the notch in the lug, which determines the exact position of the latter in height, or at least the minimum height of the day remaining between movement 21 and dial 22.
In this case, the latter could, for example be held in place simply by the flange of the box, including the. position is shown schematically by profile 23.
The fourth embodiment, according to FIG. 5, shows how the tab 24 can be notched in its width instead of in its thickness, as in the case of FIG. 2.
This results in a side seat 25 playing the same role as the seat 11. A hand screw 26 holds everything in place.
The last two embodiments, according to fig. 6 and 7 show, in section a.11 through the dial and a tab, how the latter can be folded in various ways.
In the fifth embodiment according to FIG. 6, the tab 27 is folded twice at 27a and 27b, so that its end, perpendicular to the plate 28 of the dial, is brought closer to the center and that the diameter of the dial is greater than the fixing diameter of the tab.
In the sixth embodiment according to FIG. 7, the. tab 29 is folded in a staircase, so as to obtain a seat 30 playing the same role as the seats 11 and 25 of the preceding examples, but without notching the tab.
One could also connect the legs to the movement by a bayonet fixing.
It is evident that the examples given are far from exhausting all the profiles which can be practically used to satisfy the conditions (the present invention.
