Eine vertikale Welle 21 erstreckt sich aus dem Getriebegehäuse 20 nach oben durch ein Lager im Gussstück 19 und endigt in einem Keilnutenwellenteil 22. Die Welle 21 trägt ein auf ihr befestigtes Ritzel 23;
Washing and winder. The present invention relates to a washing and winding machine with a collapsible, un permeable to air and liquid bag for the laundry to be washed.
According to the invention, the washing and winding machine is characterized in that there is a hollow organ positioned vertically with its axis, at the upper end of which there is a main drainage opening and at the lower end of which there is an outlet opening with a smaller cross-section the bag interior with the Connecting cavity of the organ,
so that when the sack buckles, a larger part of the water in the sack flows through the upper drainage opening and a smaller part flows out through the lower drainage opening.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the machine, FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through the sack and the movement element, the sack in the position after the Absaugttng of washing liquid has started is shown.
Fig. 3 is. an identical cut, but in this case it is. the sack collapsed into the position in which the upper part of the sack touches the upper part of the organ of movement. Fig. 4 is. again the same cut, but here the sack is completely folded.
Fig. 5 is on a slightly smaller scale a plan view of the electric motor and the drive connections to the gear of the agitator and to the vacuum pump.
6 is a section through the overrunning clutch of the belt pulley for the transmission, FIG. 7 is a section through the overrunning clutch of the belt pulley for the pump. Fig. 8 is a larger-scale plan view of the gear housing with the upper part of the housing removed so that the arrangement of the parts of the gear is visible, and Fig. 9 is a perspective view of the agitator with the drainage openings.
According to Fig. 1, a flexible, air and liquid impermeable bag 10, wel cher forms a laundry container with an upper opening, wear ge of a ring member 11, which in turn is attached to the upper part of a housing 12. The sack 110, together with its outer support basket 13, is also supported by an annular plate 14 which lies in the middle part of the housing 12.
The basket 13 is shaped such that the sack 10 tapers into a neck part 15 which has a smaller diameter in the operating state of washing. as the lower part of the sack, which has a cylindrical side wall 16 and a bottom 17. The bottom 17 of the sack 10 is held between a plate 18 and the correspondingly shaped bottom part of the basket 13; these parts are in turn attached to a casting 19 which carries the gear housing 20.
A vertical shaft 21 extends upward from the gear housing 20 through a bearing in the casting 19 and terminates in a splined shaft part 22. The shaft 21 carries a pinion 23 fastened to it;
which engages with a rack 24, which in turn engages the crank pin 25 back and forth through a groove 24b which is present in a set 24ca of the rack and extends parallel to the shaft 21. This is carried by a worm wheel 26 which meshes with a worm 27, which in turn can be driven by the motor 30 via the belt pulley 28 and via the belt 29.
When the transmission is working, the shaft 21 is set in reciprocating torsional vibrations; the upper end of the shaft 21 firmly carries a stirring element 31. This stirring element 31 has a central cavity 32 into which a main drainage opening 33 opens at the upper end. This opening 33 is completely free, so that when wringing out foam with. Water can enter unhindered from the interior of the bag. The cavity 32 extends down through the entire agitator element to an outlet 34 leading through the casting 19.
The lower part of the agitator is also provided with perforations 35 in the outwardly extending section, which open into a space 36 under the agitator, which is separated from the cavity 32 and thus from the outlet 34 by a cylindrical wall 37. There is a clearance between the lower edge of the cylindrical wall 37, which forms a lower part of the agitator, and the casting 19. In addition, grooves are cut into the cylindrical wall 37 at the lower edge, which together with the mentioned clearance form a drainage opening 38 which enables a complete removal of the liquid speed from the bottom of the bag 10 light.
The opening 38 (grooves plus clearance) has an outflow cross section that is wesent Lich smaller than the cross-sectional area of the upper outflow opening 33.
The ALslass 34 is connected to a pump 39 by a line 40. This pump can be designed according to that described in American patent no. 2189356 and can convey both air and liquid. The pressure port 41 of this pump is verbun with a standpipe container 42, which in turn is connected to an outflow pipe 43. The pump can be set in rotation from the motor 30 via a belt pulley 44 and a belt 45.
By attaching appropriate connections to the windings of the motor 30 is. achieves that the motor can optionally be reversed so that it can be driven in one direction or the other.
The pulley 28 for the agitator gear has an overrunning clutch 46, while the pulley 44 for the pump 30 has an overrunning clutch 47 for the opposite direction of rotation, so that when the motor 30 rotates in such a direction, the pulley moves 28 rotates clockwise, as shown in Fig. 6, the overrunning clutch 46 is coupled. However, if the drive is in the opposite direction,
the belt pulley 28 runs idle and the agitator gear is at a standstill. In contrast, the pump 39 is driven by the pulley 44 GE when the motor 30 rotates the pulley 44 counterclockwise (Fig. 7). However, when the pulley 44 is rotated clockwise, this pulley runs idle and does not drive the pump.
The sack 10 has a neck part 15 of a smaller diameter than the lower cylindrical part 16. Furthermore, the sack is so large that when the sack kinks inwards from a fold 50 (FIG. 1), there is enough material is present to let the upper part of the sack touch the upper part of the agitator 31, as shown in Fig. 3, before the sack in the area of the side wall 16 or the bottom 17 is lifted.
The upper opening of the sack 10 is closed by the lid 51, which has a curved part 52 where it touches the upper part 53 of the sack 10. This enables a good closure of the bag. It is clear that the lid must be removed in order to load or remove laundry.
Washing liquid can be introduced into the interior of the sack 10 through an opening 55 in the cover 51. A valve 57 opens or closes this opening in accordance with the energization of a solenoid 58. When the valve 57 is raised, directs. a turning tube 59 sends a jet of water into the opening 55, the water being supplied to the turning tube 59 via a supply line 60 which is connected to a mixing valve 61.
The mixing valve allows hot and cold water from supply lines to be mixed to the desired temperature for use.
To actuate the valve 61, solenoids 62 and 63 are provided which are connected to the electrical network, actuating the solenoid 62 supplying hot water for washing and actuating the solenoid 63 supplying mixed water at a lower temperature for rinsing.
The machine works in the following way: After the laundry and cleaning agents have been added, the bag 10 can be filled with water, essentially up to a level which is slightly below the upper opening 33 of the organ 31 in Fig. 1 lies. The running of the water into the machine is caused by the closure of electrical circuits which open the inlet valve 57.
After the necessary amounts of water and soap have been added, the motor 30 is made to run in the direction which causes the rotation of the screw 27 ver by the pulley 28 so as to cause the gear to cause the agitator 31 to oscillate.
These vibrations of the agitator cause the washing liquid and the laundry to move in essentially the same way as in conventional washing machines equipped with a agitator, except that the narrower neck part 15 of the sack 10 causes the water, which from the blades of the agitator in the Near the bottom of the sack is thrown outwards, moves upwards towards the middle .des sack, which results in a more regular flooding of the laundry than would be possible in a container with vertical walls the diameter of the lower wall 16.
The laundry is moved by the to-and-fro movement of the agitator 31 for a time sufficient to achieve clean laundry. Up until now, it was not essential whether the lid 51 was closed or not. For the now inferring processes of unwinding, however, it is essential that the lid 51 is closed and thus tightly closes the upper part of the sack 10, the valve 57 being in the closed position.
The motor 30 is now switched over in order to reverse the direction of rotation, the belt pulley 28 now running idle on the shaft of the screw 27, the agitator 31 is not driven while the pulley 44 of the pump controls the rotation of the propeller of the pump 39 so that the liquid and air contained in the line 40 are conveyed away from the machine through the standpipe container 42 and the pipe 43.
Since the upper end of the agitator 31 protrudes into the part of the sack which does not contain any water, and since the openings 35 in the lower part of the agitator 31 and in particular the lower drain opening 38 are so small that the lower drainage of water is relatively small, there is a strong initial flow of air through the main discharge opening 33 from the upper part of the sack below the lid 51. This expulsion of air creates a reduction in pressure inside the sack, and the atmospheric pressure outside the sack causes the sack to buckle against the agitator in the upper part.
This stage of the process is illustrated in FIG. Since the sack contracts in the upper part, the water level is raised, and there is immediately an overflow of water into the discharge opening 33 of the agitator and through its cavity 32 down to the outlet 34. This flow of air and water in the upper part Part of the sack 10 continues, wherein, as can be clearly seen from Fig. 2, there is no tendency to lift the sack from the ground due to a sufficient size of the sack.
In Fig. 3, which shows another stage in the process, there is still no tendency for the sack to lift from the floor, but the fold 50 has now been stretched and the sack loosely contacts the top of the agitator 31. Approaching the upper part of the sack on the agitator had the effect that the laundry was held down and was not torn up into the drainage opening 33 with the water.
The main drainage of the water up to this point took place through the drainage opening 33.
The tapering of the sack in the upper part, as shown in FIG. 1, has the effect that the foam and particles that have risen to the water surface are held together in a relatively small area when the agitator is shut down; When the bag collapses (Fig. 2), they are then transported away with the water through the drainage opening 33.
It is important that the sack is so large that it touches the upper part of the agitator 31 (FIG. 3) before its bottom is lifted so that the laundry is held in the lower part of the sack. Even if the sack is the agitator. loosely touched, there is still a considerable outflow of water upwards into the opening 33, but there is no way for the laundry to get upwards.
Therefore, even in the position shown in FIG. 3, a large part of the water from the laundry will still go to the upper drain opening 33 and only a relatively small part of the water will pass through the laundry and through the lower openings 35 and 35 38 get into the outflow 34.
If the sack continues to collapse due to the increased difference between the atmospheric pressure and the pressure inside the sack, the upper part of the sack is tied under the lid 51 as shown in Fig. 4, and the lower parts of the sack fold up tightly the laundry. The sack comes to rest under the lid and also to lie directly against the upper part of the agitator 31. The last step of indenting is now done by removing water only through the openings 35 and 38 after the outflow 34.
There. If the pump continues its work, the laundry is squeezed out intensely between the sack and the agitator. After the winding is complete, the valve 57 can be used to relieve the lid by allowing air to be introduced through the opening 55. After this process, the cover 51 can be slightly lifted and the laundry removed, or water can again be added for rinsing who the, whereupon the agitator is in turn set in motion. and then the water and air can be removed again by means of the pump 39.
