Container for sterilizing and sterile storage of an injection syringe and the associated cannulas.
The subject of the invention is a container intended for the sterilization and sterile storage of an injection syringe and the associated cannulas, which is provided with an opening which can be closed by a lid and in which a holder for the injection syringe and the cannulas is arranged displaceably, so that after the lid of the Be Ii older is removed, the holder with the injection syringe and the needles is automatically moved by the spring from a storage position in the Be container to a position in which the injection syringe and the needles are easily accessible.
The container according to the invention is characterized in that the holder consists of a sleeve intended to receive the cylinder of the injection syringe, the interior of which communicates with the container rim outside the sleeve and the injection syringe rests on one end, with Haller's organs on the outer surface of the sleeve for the Ka parts are attached.
The sleeve provides the syringe with good support, even if the syringe has been pushed out of the container so far that it can be easily grasped after the keel has been removed.
An exemplary embodiment of the container according to the invention is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 is a side view of the container closed with the lid.
Fig. 2 is a vertical section along the line II-II of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows the same section, but with the lid of the container removed and the holder with the injection syringe protruding through the opening of the container. Fig. 4 is a top view of the container or its lid. Figure 5 is a horizontal section on line V-Y of Figure 2 with the hypodermic syringe removed. FIG. 6 is a cross section along the line VI-VI of FIG. 3, the injection syringe also being removed.
In the drawing, 1 is a container in the form of a standing cylinder, which is open at the top and can be closed by means of a cover 2. In the closed position, the lid seals against a conical seat 3 (Fig. 3) on the container. The lid is provided on diametrically opposite sides with ears 4 projecting over the edge of the container. These are each equipped with a recess 5 on the inner, mutually facing surfaces, which cooperates with an inclined plane 6 which forms the lower surface of a flange 7 on the outer surface of the container 1.
The flange 7 is interrupted on diametrically opposite sides of the container by openings 8 through which the lower ends of the ears are guided down when the cover 2 is to be pushed down onto its seat 3 designed as a conical surface. By turning the cover, it is fixed by engagement of the recesses 5 with the puddles 7 and at the same time pressed against the cone surface 3. Due to the friction partly between the ears 4 and the flange surfaces 6 and partly between the inner surface of the cover and the conical surface 3, the cover is held in the tightened position without any safety device.
In Figs. 2 and 3, a syringe mounted in the container is shown. It can of course have different constructions. According to the drawing, it consists of a glass cylinder 81, a piston 9, a piston rod 10, a button 11 serving as a handle to move the piston rod, a mouthpiece 12, a sleeve 13 to which the cylinder 81 is attached, nad one on this cylinder Detachably fastened cover 14 with through-hole for the piston rod 10. This cover is provided with a flange 15 by means of which the syringe rests on a holder 17 protruding into the container 1.
The holder 17 has the shape of a neck, the upper end of which forms a seat for the injection syringe. The lower end of the necks is provided with a bottom 16. So that the interior of the sleeve is connected to the space enclosed by the container 1, a central hole 18 is provided in the bottom 16 of the sleeve and a pair of holes 19, 20 are provided in the shell of the sleeve at two different heights. The pair of holes 19 can be seen in FIG. An annular disk 21 is attached to the outer surface of the sleeve 17 below the holes 19, 20, between which and the inner surface of the container 1 there is a narrow space 22.
This disk, together with the lower end part 17a of the sleeve 17, forms a fluid brake when the container 1 contains a sufficient amount of disinfectant fluid. On the lower surface of the brake disk 21, one end of a visual outer spring 23 is attached, the other end of which is supported against the bottom of the container 1.
The spring 23 acts as a compression spring and strives to move the necks 17 into the position shown in FIG. The sleeve 17 carries above the upper holes 20 two axially spaced plates 24 which are provided with a number of holes 25 which are arranged on a circle coaxial with the E sleeve.
These serve to accommodate cannulas 26 with the associated: mdstüekhülsen 27, by means of which the cannulas consisting of pointed, fine tubes are connected to the syringe mouthpiece 12.
In order to prevent the sleeve 17 from being improperly pushed out of the container beyond a certain limit, which can be seen from FIG. 3, a small stop 27 'is attached to the inner surface of the container 1, against which the upper plate 24 comes to rest in the extended position of the holder. At the edge of the plates 24 there is a recess 28 (FIG. 6) which enables the holder to be removed from the container 1 after the holder has been rotated until the projection 27 'lies in the same line as the recess 28.
In order to fill the sterilizing liquid into the container 1, the syringe is first inserted into the holder. During the pouring, the syringe and the holder in the container are kept pressed down by exerting pressure on the button 11 with one finger. So much sterilizing liquid is poured in that it almost reaches the upper edge of the container and practically covers the entire syringe.
The liquid also penetrates through the through hole for the piston rod 10 in the cover 14 into the syringe cylinder above the piston, at the same time as the air escapes from the cylinder through the same hole, so that the syringe is also internally sterile. The container is closed by means of the cover 2, after which the syringe for the most part and the cannulas carried by the holder plates 24 are completely immersed in the sterilizing liquid, as is indicated in FIG.
When the syringe is to be used, the cover 2 is removed, whereupon the sleeve 17 with the syringe and the cannulas is moved by the Fecler 23 into the position according to FIG. 3, in which both the syringe and the cannulas are easily gripped. This movement of the sleeve is braked by the liquid brake 17a, 21, the sterilizing liquid flowing down through the hole 18 and the gap 22. As a result of the upward movement of the sleeve 17, the liquid level in the container 1 drops so that there is no risk of the sterilizing liquid spilling after the lid has been opened. The necks 17 are guided through the plates 24 and possibly also through the brake disk 21.
