Machine for dyeing fabrics off and on. It is known that, in the known methods of dyeing offshore fabrics, one always comes up against the serious drawback residing in the need to subject the fabric, during its treatment, to a certain tension in order to avoid the formation of folds which occur. would result in color irregularities.
This drawback is particularly serious when it comes to light fabrics, such as pancakes for example, that the slightest tension risks damaging, and it is. the reason why we are forced, for most fabrics of this kind, to resort, for lack of anything better, to gut dyeing which constitutes a complicated and difficult process. to cry ticks.
The object of the invention is to eliminate this inconvenience and to make it possible to carry out the continuous dyeing of all fabrics, even light and delicate, and, to this end, it relates to a machine for the dyeing of wide and continuous fabrics, the accompanying drawing of which represents, by way of example and schematically, an embodiment in elevation view with partial longitudinal section.
In this drawing, 8 is a hollow rotary roller, with a perforated table, with a hollow shaft 9 connected to a pump 10 drawing the color from a tank 11 and pushing it through the perforations of the roller 8; 12 is a color reservoir, maintaining a constant level in the tank 11. by lower 13 and upper 14 pipes; 15 is a collector, surrounding the roller 8, collecting the liquid after it has passed through the fabric, and having a pipe 16 returning it to the tank 11; 17 is an electric motor for controlling pump 10.
18 is a similar roller, the hollow axis 19 of which is. connected to a pump 20 sucking in a tank 21 a reducing liquid discharged through the perforations of the roller 18 to accelerate the dyeing operation; 22 is a reservoir for reducing liquid; 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 are organs similar to those designated under 13 to 17.
28 is an endless belt, driven by a continuous translational movement and guided by detour rollers 29; this strip, which is permeable to liquid, may consist of a stainless steel mesh, or of natural or artificial textile fiber, or else of plastic or of a combination of these various materials. It surrounds the major part of the hollow rollers 8 and 18, being guided, for this purpose, by casing rollers 30 and 31, respectively input and output.
The fabric 1, brought laterally in a vertical plane and controlled by selvedge guides 32, passes over a detour roller not shown horizontal and parallel to the frame 33 of the machine, then over a detour roller 34, also horizontal, but arranged at 45 compared to. the aforementioned roller, so as to be driven between take-up rollers 35, the speed of which is greater than that of the endless belt 28, so that it is deposited, without tension, in the form of small undulations, between the cylinder 8 and the conveyor belt 28.
Opposite the small space comprised between the rollers 8 (or 18) and 30 and 31, there is a screen 36 preventing the projection of liquid.
In the embodiment shown, the fabric is subjected to several passes in contact with the rollers 8 and 18 and, for this purpose, a second endless belt 37 is provided, guided by rollers 38. The path of the fabric 1 is provided. indicated by arrows.
To reduce the volume of color (or reducing liquid) circulated, the perforated hollow rollers 8 and 18 are internally provided with smaller diameter solid cylinders, 39 and 40, respectively.
In addition, means, such as movable bottoms, for example, can be provided to limit the useful length of the table of rolls 8 and 18 to the lauze of the treated fabric.
