Fig. 2 en est une vue en plan, et fig.

Device for controlling the spindles of a continuous spinning, twisting and similar machine. The present invention relates to a positive device for controlling the spindles of a continuous spinning machine, twisting and the like. In known machines of this type, the control of the spindles is effected by means of a rotary cylinder commonly called the dull lan, housed inside the machine, longitudinally with respect to the width thereof, and which , by means of straps or ropes, transmits its movement to the appropriate pins.
The two control systems present in practice various drawbacks; especially for machines whose spindles are driven by belts, a tensioner is necessary to achieve, by means of a counterweight, the desired tension and thus compensate for the natural elongation of the belt resulting from wear and the fact that the. belt is twisted, the axes of rotation of the lantern and the pins are not parallel. As in all conventional transmission devices, the tensioner acts on the driven strand of the belt or rope.
This system gives rise to a very high consumption of driving energy and has the drawback that, when the machine has to work in torsion to the right and to the left, it is necessary to unstitch the belts, to modify their path and to adjust ter the tensioners at the corresponding inclination, all causing considerable stopping time for the machine with the loss of production that this entails. To overcome these disadvantages, it has been imagined to use a double tensioner, thanks to which the belt works flat, this making it possible to avoid unstitching the belt. The use of the double tensioner has, however, the drawback of further increasing the consumption of motive power of the machine itself.
The device which is the subject of the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. For this purpose, such a device comprises at least one pulley arranged inside the machine, its axis being parallel to the axes of the spindles, and at least one transmission member arranged around this pulley to transmit its rotational movement. simultaneously to several spindles of the machine.
The accompanying drawing represents, to. as examples, an embodiment of the device being the subject. of the present invention, as well as variants.
Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of this embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 3 to 5 are alternate plan views.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is applied to a continuous machine and comprises a casing 1 disposed longitudinally inside the machine. 'A tree \? is mounted in the housing 1 and has at least one helical wheel 3 wedged on it and actuating a pinion 4 mounted on the vertical axis 5 on which is fixed a horizontal pulley 6 with multiple grooves. This pulley drives pins 8 from the machine by means of a belt or rope 7.
The lower end of the vertical axis 5 of each pulley 6 rests on a slider 9 and a support 10 fixed to the lateral part of the casing 1 keeps the axis 5 in place. The wheel 3 is lightly submerged in an oil bath inside the casing 1 and the axle 5 and the pinion 4 are also lubricated by splashing. The housing 1 is closed by a cover, not shown, preventing the oil from escaping. The shaft 2 can advantageously be mounted on a ball bearing and is driven for example by an electric motor (not shown). Such a shaft could drive several pulleys such as the one shown in FIG. 1.
In a variant, the axis 5 could be fixed by its lower end to the housing 1 and a tubular element on which the pinion 4 and the pulley 6 would be fixed could be mounted on this axis, so as to rotate freely around the latter. ; in the embodiment described, the belt or the rope actuating the pins 8 is placed horizontally and it is started up without requiring tenors; moreover, the spindles can be driven in the opposite direction without having to dismantle the belt or the rope or change its path: it suffices to change the direction of rotation of shaft 2.
Another advantage of this embodiment resides in the fact that it can be applied to machines with independent rows of spindles and to machines with collective rows of spindles. In the first case, it will be necessary to have a double set of casings 1 for each machine, each with its appropriate set of gears, so that each casing has. gears are used only, to actuate the pins of a single row of. the machine.
To better demonstrate the operation of the device described, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of this device applied to a series of rows of collective pins in which a single string, for example, actuates eight pins at a time as follows: the string passes from one pin to another, from one side of the machine to the other, wrap around two spindles, pass over pulley 6, come back to the same side of the machine to wrap around two more spindles and then pass directly to the other side of the machine where it follows the same route again, to the starting point.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, all pins 8 rotate in the same direction, and if the direction of rotation of shaft 2 is changed, all pins rotate in the opposite direction.
Fig. 3 shows a variant in which the rope follows a path such that the pins on both sides of the machine turn in the opposite direction to each other. In this variant, the rope 7, leaving the horizontal pulley 6, surrounds the pins 12 and 13 on one side of the machine, passes directly to the other side of the machine where it surrounds the pins 19 and passes then on pulley 6 and returns to pins 17 and 16 to return directly (the other side of the machine surround pins 1.4 and 15 and finally pass over pulley 6 to return to its starting point. , the pins on one side turn in one direction and those on the other side turn in the opposite direction.
It follows that by changing. the direction of rotation (the shaft ', the horizontal pulley 6 turns in the opposite direction and the pins simultaneously change their direction of rotation.
The horizontal pulleys 6 can have two, three, four or more grooves. With a pulley comprising four; barley and. with two ropes for each pulley, one can. for example, operating two groups of eight spindles.
The variant shown in FIG. 4 applies only to a machine with independent rows. In this case, the horizontal pulley 6 operates with two ropes, 20 and '? 1 a group of two pins for each rope and side of the. my china.
We can also. obtain the same result with the variant shown ù. the
