La fig. 2 en est une vue depuis dessus. La pompe à main représentée comprend un cylindre 10 dont on ne voit que la partie supérieure et dans lequel se déplace un pis ton non représenté pourvu d'une tige tubu laire 11; cette dernière est engagée dans une poignée tubulaire cylindrique 12 en métal, portant une plaque annulaire 16 prenant appui sur une partie annulaire 13; cette der nière forme un tout avec la paroi latérale 12 et présente une ouverture 14 qui est traver- sée par l'extrémité libre 15 de la tige 11;
Hand pump for inflating tires. The hand pump for inflating tires according to the present invention comprises a piston movable in a cylinder and has a tubular rod provided with a handle. tubular gnea. It is characterized by the fact that this rod is engaged longitudinally in the handle, one of its ends being folded against the outer face of the corresponding end of the latter, so as to trap an annular plate that the said handle carries. , this plate cooperating with at least one ring to immobilize the handle relative to the rod.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the pump which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal view thereof in partial section.
Fig. 2 is a view from above. The hand pump shown comprises a cylinder 10 of which only the upper part can be seen and in which moves a not shown udder provided with a tubular rod 11; the latter is engaged in a cylindrical tubular metal handle 12, carrying an annular plate 16 bearing support on an annular part 13; the latter forms a whole with the side wall 12 and has an opening 14 which is crossed by the free end 15 of the rod 11;
this end 15 also passes through the plate 16 on which it is folded to imprison it. The annular plate 16 is made of thin metal and may bear a sign, for example a trademark on its outer face 17.
The side wall 12 internally comprises a circular boss 19 against which bears the peripheral edge of a ring 20, the inner edge of which bears against a peripheral bulge 21 of the rod 11 of the piston.
The annular plate 16 cooperates with the ring 20 to prevent any longitudinal displacement of the handle 1.2 relative to the rod 11.
When assembling the handle 12 on the rod 11, the free end of the latter is. engaged in the opening 14, of the annular plate 16 is threaded onto this free end; the latter is folded back at 18 on the plate 16. This folding is easily achieved by means of a turning operation.
