Verfahren zur Herstellung eines basischen Esters. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines basischen Esters, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man auf eine Verbindung der Formel

worin X einen bei der Reaktion sich abspalten den Rest bedeutet, wie z. B. die Phenyl-amyl- oxy-essigsäure bzw, deren Salze, einen reak tionsfähigen Ester des Dimethylaminoäthanols einwirken lässt.
Der so erhaltene Phenyl-amyl-oxy-essig- säure-dimethylaminoäthylester siedet bei 140 unter 0,1 mm Druck.
Die neue Verbindung soll therapeutische Verwendung finden oder als Zwischenprodukt dienen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 108 Teile Pheny 1- amyl - oxy - essigsäure (F. 121 bis 123 , hergestellt z. B. durch Um setzung von Benzoylameisensäureäthylester mit Amylmagnesiumbromid und anschliessende Verseifung des erhaltenen Phenyl-amyl-oxy- essigsäureäthylesters vom Kp. l2 142 bis 152 mit methylalkoholischer Kalilauge),
60 Teile Chloräthyldimethylamin und 150 Teile Kalium- carbonat werden in 1250 Teilen Essigester mehrere Stunden auf dem Wasserbad erwärmt. Nach dem Filtrieren dampft man den Essig- ester ab, destilliert das zurückbleibende Öl und erhält den Phenyl-amyl-oxy-essigsäure- dimethylaminoäthylester vom Kp. ",1 140 , der sich in das Brommethylat vom F. 192 bis 193 überführen lässt.
