This unfavorable situation is not improved even when the crushing chambers contain devices which advance the material being crushed to the grid adjacent to the next chamber.
To remedy this drawback, in grinders with a single grinding chamber, a sizing coating has been provided on the periphery of the grinder. The calibrated material collected below each mill was. then introduced into the next crusher, either by gravity, the crushers being arranged in cascade, or by an elevator conveyor provided between two successive crushers. These solutions entail a mechanical complication resulting from the individual control of the various crushers with a single crushing chamber, a multiplicity of bearings, which increases friction losses, an installation for collecting dust by covering all the crushers.
This results in high installation and maintenance costs and often inconsistent operation.
The present invention a. for the purpose of avoiding the disadvantages of these two types of crushers while retaining the advantages.
To this end, the mill according to the invention, which is: of the type with several coaxial grinding chambers, has a calibrating coating on the cylindrical part of at least one grinding chamber as well as an annular chamber around the chamber of grinding considered and in which a device dragged by the grinder advances to the next grinding chamber the material which has passed through the cylindrical sizing coating considered.
With the mill according to the invention, the material fine enough to be able to pass through the calibrating coating can therefore escape quickly from the grinding chamber which contains it and yet be introduced without complication into an adjacent coaxial chamber forming part of the same. multi-chamber mill.
In order to further facilitate the rapid removal of material which no longer has to be ground in a grinding chamber and to avoid a build-up in the form of damping material, it is advantageous to use the wall of the wall as a calibrating coating as well. end which is located at the entrance of the considered grinding chamber, and even the entire surface of all the walls of this chamber.
The drawing appended to this specification shows schematically, by way of example only, one embodiment of the grinding body mill according to the invention and some variants of its coating.

Fig. 9 represents a variant of the positive device for advancing the material from an annular chamber towards the compartment through which this material enters the following grinding chamber.
In these different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.
In fig. 1, a part of a rotary ball mill has been shown and three coaxial grinding chambers provided with a sizing coating which the material must pass through to pass from one chamber to another. These chambers, which have been designated by 2, 3 and 4, contain grinding bodies of different dimensions appropriate to the size of the pieces which enter them and to the reduction to be carried out there.
At the periphery of each grinding chamber is disposed a sizing coating 5. This coating -includes a certain number of projections 6 mounted on plate elements 7 (fig. 2) which leave slots 8 for the passage of sufficiently ground material.
Around each sizing coating 5 is formed an annular chamber 9 in which the material advances parallel to the axis of the mill during the rotation of the latter. To this end, the calibrating coating 5 carries a conveyor device consisting of ribs 10 inclined with respect to the axis of the chamber.
The calibrated material which advances in the annular chamber 9 surrounding the grinding chamber 2 is sent to the next grinding chamber 3 through the compartment 12.
The sufficiently ground material in the chamber 3 passes through the corresponding calibrating coating 5 to follow in the annular chamber 9, which surrounds this coating, an axial displacement in the direction of the arrow X, under the effect of the inclined ribs. born 10. This material then passes along the axis of the chamber 4 through the compartment. 12.

In fig. 4, there is shown a variant of the sizing coating in which the shoulders 21 determining the width of the slits are provided on one of the side faces of these plates, the opposite side face thereof being flat.
In fig. 5, there is shown a part of a plate for calibrating coating in which openings have been made, such as the opening 22, in which are arranged inserts 23 in the form of rectangular profiles folded into pins. hair. The fixing of these attached parts to the plates 7 of the coating is carried out by clamping due to the elasticity of these parts.
The use of attached parts makes it possible to use for them a material which ensures at best, by its resistance to wear, the constancy of the size of the openings.
It is also possible to use other attached parts for the calibration of the openings intended for the passage of sufficiently ground material.
In fig. 6, there is shown a part 24 in which calibrated openings 25 and 26 have been made, for example, by means of machine tools.
When these parts are placed in the plates of the coating, they determine in a precise manner the .calibration of the materials which can leave the grinding chamber.
The rapid elimination of sufficiently ground material makes it possible, for the same size, to increase the quantity of material treated in a given time. For this, it is obviously necessary to provide in the cali boring coating a total surface area of openings sufficient to evacuate the flow that the mill can process.
To easily produce a large number of calibrated openings, it is possible, for example, to use inserts such as that shown in FIG. 7, in which several calibrated openings have been formed parallel to one another.
It is also possible, for example, to use rods bent more than once, as shown in FIG. 8. In this case, each folded rod has more than two branches leaving between them slits having the desired width for the sizing of the material.
In fig. 9, there is shown a part of a crusher in which the helical ribs 10 which cause the axial displacement of the material in. the annular chamber 9, generally stop at. a certain distance from a partition 29 which separates the annular chamber 9 from the peripheral part of the compartment 12 which the material must pass through to reach the center of the inlet wall of the next grinding chamber. This partition 29 is located in the same plane as the wall 18 of FIG. 1. Others.
helical ribs 30 are extended to this partition 29. They end near the passages 31 which put the. annular chamber 9 in communi cation with the compartment 12. The lifting pallets 32, forming an extension of the pallets formed in the compartment 12 of FIG. 1 and serving, as in the usual multi-chamber mills, to slide ser the. material towards the center of the inlet wall of the following grinding chamber, are arranged behind the passages <B> 31, </B> if we consider the direction of rotation shown schematically by arrow 1 '.
The pockets formed in the compartment 12 between the passages 31 and the lifting pallets behind these passages are sufficient to collect all the material debited by the ribs 10 located between two successive ribs 30.
It goes without saying that instead of balls one can use grinding bodies of another form.
