Device for preventing lubricating oil losses in single-axle drives in electrically operated vehicles, in particular rail vehicles. For the single-axle drive of electric rail vehicles, a design has proven to be particularly good, in which the large gear wheel of the simple transmission is mounted on a tube surrounding the drive axis, rigidly connected to the drive motor housing and contains springs in its wheel body, through which the driving force acts on a in openings in the gear body protruding arm star of the drive wheel is carried over.
To lubricate the gear pair and the spring clutch, there is an oil sump at the lowest point of the gear box, into which the excess oil is returned in a circle.
In a known embodiment of the single axle drive, the used or sprayed oil is returned through a labyrinth installed between the large gear wheel and the playing drive wheel of rotating spray disks sitting next to one another on the hub of the coupling arm star and stationary, with return channels attached to a wall of the gear box provided safety disks.
Since several such pairs of disks have to be arranged next to one another in order to reliably avoid oil losses, such a labyrinth takes up a certain amount of space in the direction of the drive axis, so that the iron width and thus the power of the motor were reduced compared to designs that can do without this disk labyrinth .
According to the invention, a considerable amount of space is gained in the axial direction, since the fact that the labyrinth is formed from rings arranged coaxially around one another to the drive axis.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game for the invention, namely the part of the single axle drive of a rail nenfahrzeuges, which is formed by the large gear and the drive wheel. On the drive axis a sits the drive wheel b, whose arm star c protrudes into the cavities h of the large gear wheel d and its arms are placed against those housed in those cavities h, tangentially directed springs f is supported. The gear wheel d is mounted on the tube stub g via the roller bearing Z, which is attached to the motor housing (not visible in the drawing).
The arm star c is provided with a disk e, which is fitted on the gear wheel side with cylindrical rings i. coaxial to the drive axis a with an outwardly flanged spray rim. In the spaces between these co-rotating splash rings i, fixed, likewise cylindrical channels m with an inwardly flanged collecting edge protrude, which are seated on the end wall of the gear case k on the drive wheel side.
These fixed collecting channels m are at their deepest point with holes. n which they connect to the interior of the gear box k which forms an oil sump o at its deepest point.
Thanks to the axially crowded design of the labyrinth seal formed from the splash rings i and on collecting channels m, it is possible to increase the engine power by 30 to 35 compared to that of a vehicle with the well-known labyrinth seal with axially mounted splash and collecting disks. This type of construction can be applied to all single axle drives of rail and road vehicles in which coupling parts protrude from the drive wheel into the gear case.
