Nach der Erfindung ist der in der Achsgabel festsitzende Lagerbolzen nach unten verlängert, so daß er gleichzeitig Lagerbolzen für die beiden gleichachsigen Kegelräder b und c ist. Hierdurch ergibt sich eine neuartige staubsichere Abdeckung der einzelnen Kegelrädergetriebe insofern, als das gleichachsige Kegelräderpaar b, c in der Mitte mit einem Einstich versehen ist, in den je eine Seite der flachen, horizontal angeordneten Schutzkappen eingreifen. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß die Drehbewegung der beiden Schutzkappen zueinander beim Lenken sich inner halb des schmalen Einstichs vollzieht und keine metallische Berührung dabei entsteht. Die Schutzkappen sind schmal, bedecken keine unnötigen Hohlräume und brauchen nicht wie bisher gegossen und für die Drehbewegung genau bearbeitet zu werden, da keine Paßfiächen vorhanden sind. Die gleichachsigen Kegelräder b, c sowie Kegelrad d und Radnabe sind aus einem Stück hergestellt. Bremstrommel t in Verbindung mit der am schwenkbaren Achsschenkel befestigten Bremsscheibe s bildet die Schutzkappe für Kegelrad d und nimmt zugleich die Innenbremse auf. In das Kegelrad b greift das Kegelrad a der Antriebswelle w.
