der letztere den Kipphebel vom Steuergestänge oder Entnahmeventil oder von beiden abhebt. Auf der Zeichnung sind Ausführungs beispiele dargestellt, und zwar zeigen: Fig. 1 das Schema der Luftentnahmeein- richtung an einer Brennkraftmaschine; Fig. 2 und d die Vorrichtung zur Steue rung der Luftentnahme in zwei verschie denen Ausführungsformen, und zwar im Längsschnitt nach der Linie II-11 von Fig. 4;

Device for extracting air from a working cylinder of an internal combustion engine, in particular a diesel engine, and for transferring it to a compressed air system. The invention relates to a device according to the patent claim of the main patent, with a device influenced by the pressure of the stored air, which interrupts the connec tion between the control device for the extraction valve and this when a certain pressure limit in the air reservoir is exceeded.
The invention consists in that the device for interrupting the extraction valve control is set up to accelerate the restoration of the connection between the extraction valve and its control device as soon as the pressure in the air reservoir falls below the critical limit. As a device for interrupting the air extraction valve control, a piston is provided, for example in a manner known per se, on which a venting device for the cylinder space located under the piston is arranged.
The piston is on the lower side of. the storage air and influenced on the upper side by a return spring. The piston is expediently arranged opposite a rocker arm that positively connects the extraction valve with its control rods in such a way that when the piston is brought out of its rest position by a certain distance under tension of the return spring by the accumulator air,
the latter lifts the rocker arm off the control linkage or extraction valve or both. In the drawing, exemplary embodiments are shown, specifically showing: FIG. 1 the diagram of the air extraction device on an internal combustion engine; Fig. 2 and d, the device for Steue tion of the air extraction in two different embodiments which, in longitudinal section along the line II-11 of Fig. 4;
4 is a plan view of the device according to FIG. 2 or 3, with the air extraction valve rocker arm removed, and FIG. 5 shows a detail of the device according to FIG.
In the working cylinder 1 of the internal combustion engine 2, a working piston 3 can be displaced, the crankshaft 4 of which drives a secondary shaft 6 via a toothed gear 5. The cam 7 for controlling a pushrod 8, which is under the influence of a spring 9, is seated on the auxiliary shaft 6. The spring 9 strives to move the push rod 8 upwards zii.
The upper end of the plunger rod 8 is in frictional contact with one arm 10 of a double-armed rocker arm, the other lever arm 11 of which is in frictional contact with the shaft of an extraction valve 13 on the working cylinder 1 of the internal combustion engine 2 that is also under the action of a return spring 12; stands. The rocker arm is mounted on the upper end of the rod of a small Kol ben 14, the top of which is under the influence of a compression spring 15 and the bottom of which is under the influence of the pressure of the brake air, which the cylinder 16 of the piston 14 from a storage container 17 through a line 18 flows in.
Through the line 19, the storage container 17 is connected to the working cylinder 1 via the removal valve 13. A line 20 leads from the container 17 to the braking device of the motor vehicle, not shown in the drawing. A check valve 21 is arranged in line 18.
As FIG. 2 shows, the piston 14 is designed as a hollow piston and the return spring 15 is accommodated in it. The upper end of the spring 15 is supported against a screwed-on Declzplatte 22 and the lower end against the piston head 14a.
The piston head 14a is provided with a valve passage 23, and the guide pin 24a of a valve needle 24 protrudes into this, which when the valve needle 24 rests with its valve seat 25 on the associated fitting surface in the piston head 14a whose lower surface reaches down. The valve needle 24 is also provided with an extension pin 26 at the upper end. which penetrates a hole 27 in the web 22a of the cover plate 22.
The valve needle 24 is under the influence of a return spring 28. The piston 1.4 is mounted in a cylinder liner? 9, at the lower end of which a perforated plate 30 z. B. is strengthened by an annular disc 31 be. The holes 32 of the plate 30 are arranged on a circular line around the valve needle 24. The plate 30 is arranged at such a distance from the piston 14 that the valve needle pin Ma, is raised by the plate 30 in the lower end position of the piston 14, so that the small valve passage 3 in this position is open.
The effect of the described device is as follows: As long as there is sufficient pressure in the container 17 to brake, the piston 14 assumes the upper end position when the spring 15 is tensioned. In this position, the end of the lever arm 10 of the rocker arm is lifted from the push rod 8. so that the cam 7, the valve 13th, which is held closed by the spring 7 2, cannot open. In addition, the spring 9 keeps the push rod 8 lifted from the cam 7. In this position of the above-mentioned parts there is no air extraction from the cylinder 1 through the valve 13.
If the pressure in the storage container 17 falls below a certain limit as a result of frequent braking, the pressure under the piston 14 in the cylinder 16 decreases, and the relaxing spring 15 moves it downwards until the arm 10 of the double-armed rocker arm finally closes Be the range of motion of the push rod 8 arrives. and the stronger spring 1.i, under tension of the weaker spring 9, brings the pushrod 8 with the cam 7 into frictional contact.
The cam 7 then opens the valve 13 via the control rod just when the working piston 3 executes its compression stroke Ver. By a corre sponding setting of the spring 15, the pressure in the storage container 17 can be controlled who the. Likewise, the control times of the extraction valve can be regulated by rotating or shifting the cam 7 or another intermediate control element.
The piston 14 can be arranged at another point of the internal combustion engine instead of in the cylinder head, or rather it is arranged where the seat of the extraction valve makes this appear appropriate in connection with the design of the control rod.
The effect of the vent valve is as follows: If the pressure in the storage container 17 falls below the critical limit, there is probably no further flow of compressed air through the check valve 21 into the cylinder 16.
Since the air trapped in this cylinder between the valve 21 and the piston 14 only escapes slowly through the fitting gap of this piston, it would take a considerable amount of time until the air there has expanded so far that the piston 14 with the rocker arm has lowered so far that the rocker arm 10 comes into contact with the upper end of the push rod 8 again. The restoration of this positive contact is now accelerated by the vent valve.
As soon as the air supply through the valve 21 to the cylinder chamber 16 ceases, the piston 14 settles by a small amount, that is, it drops relatively quickly so far that the pin 24 hits the "plate 30 and opens the valve passage 23." As a result, the air can escape rapidly through the passage 23, with the further consequence that the underside of the piston 14 is relieved more quickly and the piston 14 accordingly sinks downwards more quickly.
In the lower position of the piston 14, the valve passage 23 is always open; however, the passage cross-section is kept so small that the piston 14 is not prevented from lifting again when the air flows to the cylinder 16 from the container 17 via the line 18 and the valve 21.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 5, a ball valve is arranged in place of the needle valve according to FIG. The valve ball 33 sits in a special small piston 34 which is displaceable in the spring bore 35 of the piston 14. The ball 33 is under the influence of a spring 36, and a stop pin 37, which is fastened in the center of the perforated plate 30, protrudes into the valve passage 2'3 from below. The device according to FIGS. 3 and 5 acts in a similar way to that according to FIG.
As soon as the piston 14 has moved down a little, the ball valve is pushed open by the pin 37 and the cylinder space under the piston 14 is vented.
If you want to avoid the constant outflow of air through the open vent valve in the lower end position of the piston 14, for. B. in order to also achieve a more precise lifting of the piston 14, a small ring neck 39 (FIG. 5) is arranged on the underside of the piston head 14a, which is airtight when the piston 14 assumes its lower end position the plate 30 is seated.
The cover plate 22 with its central web 22a according to FIG. 4 simultaneously serves as a guide for the piston 14, which is forked at its upper end, in that the fork eyes 14b of this piston protrude through corresponding recesses 38 in the cover plate. This arrangement prevents the piston from rotating, and it ensures that the rocker arm always comes to rest correctly on the upper end of the push rod 8 and the shaft of the removal valve 13. The piston 14 can also be provided with piston rings 40, such as.
B. Fig. 3 shows.
