Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 281495. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Schwefel farbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Dinitro-1.5-dianilido-anthrachinon, hergestellt durch Nitrieren des 1.5 - Dianilido - anthra- chinons mit Salpetersäure in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure,
mit einem schwefelnden Mit tel in Gegenwart einer Kupferverbindung be handelt und die dabei erhaltene Rohschmelze unter Verwendung von Schwefelalkali auf schliesst.
Der so erhaltene Farbstoff ist ein dunkles Pulver und färbt die pflanzliche Faser aus dem Sohwefelnatriumbade in echten grau braunen Farbtönen, insbesondere von einer sehr guten Lichtechtheit.
Beispiel: In eine Polysulfidschmelze aus 140 Tei len kristallisiertem Schwefelnatrium und 80 Teilen Schwefel werden bei Kochtempera tur 40 Teile Dinitro - 1.5 - dianilido - anthra- chinon, hergestellt durch Nitrieren des 1.5 Dianilido-anthrachinons mit Salpetersäure in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure, eingetragen. Bei einer Temperatur von 118 wird mehrere Stunden unter Rückfluss gekocht, dann die Schmelze eingetrocknet.
Das Trockengut wird mit 6 Teilen Kupfervitriol und 10 Tei len Schwefel vermischt, die Temperatur auf 270 erhöht und 8 Stunden bei 270 bis 280 gehalten. Nach dem Aufschliessen des Roh produktes mit Schwefelnatrium und Läuge wird der Farbstoff _ aus .seiner wässrigen Lö sung durch Ansäuern abgeschieden.

The mixture is refluxed for several hours at a temperature of 118, then the melt is dried.
The dry material is mixed with 6 parts of vitriol and 10 parts of sulfur, the temperature is increased to 270 and held at 270 to 280 for 8 hours. After the raw product has been digested with sodium sulphide and liquor, the dye is separated from its aqueous solution by acidification.
