Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polyäthers. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polyäthers, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol 2,4, 6 -Triisopropyl-l-benzyl-mono-glykoläther vom gp3", 158-162 , hergestellt durch Ein wirkung von 2,4,6 - Triisopropyl -1- benzyl- chlorid auf Natriumglykolat in Gegenwart von überschüssigem Glykol, mit 8 Mol Athy- lenoxyd umsetzt.
Der so erhaltene Polyäther ist ein in Wasser leicht lösliches öliges Produkt; es be sitzt eine gute Netz- und Waschwirkung und soll als Textilhilfsmittel Verwendung finden. <I>Beispiel:</I> 278 Teile 2,4,6 -Triisopropyl-l-benzyl- mono-glykoläther vom gps, 158-162 , her gestellt durch Einwirkung von 2,4,6-Trüso- propyl-l-benzylchlorid auf Natriumglykolat in Gegenwart von überschüssigem Glykol, und 2 Volumenanteile einer 50%igen Na tronlauge werden gemischt und das über- schüssige Wasser durch Erwärmen im Va kuum bei<B>100'</B> entfernt.
Dann lässt man Äthylenoxyd bei 140-150' bis zur Auf nahme von 352 Teilen, entsprechend 8 Mole külen, Äthylenoxyd einwirken.

The present patent relates to a process for the production of a polyether, characterized in that 1 mol of 2,4,6-triisopropyl-1-benzyl-mono-glycol ether from gp3 ", 158-162, produced by action of 2,4 6 - triisopropyl -1-benzyl chloride on sodium glycolate in the presence of excess glycol, with 8 moles of ethylene oxide.
The polyether thus obtained is an oily product which is readily soluble in water; it has a good wetting and washing effect and is said to be used as a textile auxiliary. <I> Example: </I> 278 parts of 2,4,6-triisopropyl-l-benzyl-mono-glycol ether from gps, 158-162, produced by the action of 2,4,6-triisopropyl-l- Benzyl chloride on sodium glycolate in the presence of excess glycol and 2 parts by volume of a 50% strength sodium hydroxide solution are mixed and the excess water is removed by heating in a vacuum at <B> 100 '</B>.
Ethylene oxide is then allowed to act at 140-150 'up to 352 parts, corresponding to 8 moles, of ethylene oxide.
