Aufnahmebehälter für Messer, insbesondere Kuchenmesser. Beim Schneiden von Nahrungsmitteln verschiedener Art, namentlich Kuchen, blei ben an,dem Messer Reste kleben.
Um diesem 'Ankleben von Resten möglichst vorzubeugen, werden die Kuchenmesser an Stätten, an denen Kuchen- ode2 Tortenstücke an Ver braucher verabreicht werden, während des Nichtgebrauches in Wasser gestellt damit durch die Feuchtigkeit einerseits die ange klebten Kuchenreste .sich ablösen und ander seits zufolge .der Benetzung der Messer beim erneuten Abschneiden von Kuchenstücken ein Anhaften grösserer Mengen nicht erfolgen kann.
Beim Einstecken in mit Wasser ge füllte Behälter werden die Spitzender Mes ser allmählich stumpf. Beim Herausnehmen der Messer aus dem Behälter wird die Um gebung desselben mit Wassertropfen verun reinigt, abgesehen davon, :dass ein derartiger Behälter an sich einen nicht übermässig hygie nischen Eindruck macht. Dasselbe gibt für das Nachreinigen der in Wasser gestellten Messer mit Tüchern. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Behälter, welcher bezweckt, unter Schonung der Messerspitzen das Reinigen und leichte Benetzen .der Messer selbsttätig zu bewirken.
Der Behälter gemäss der vorliegenden Er findung kann mit Wasser gefüllt werden und besitzt unter einem Abschnitt eines im Dek- kel angeordneten Schlitzes für seitliche Ein- führung,des Messers ausgebildete Abstreifer. Zweckmässig sind zwei Abstreifer unterein ander angebracht, von welchen der untere aus zwei in Abstand voneinander angeordne ten elastischen Platten aus nicht saugfähigem Material und der obere aus saugfähigem Ma terial besteht.
Die beiliegende Zeichnung zeigt ein Aus führungsbeispiel des erfindungsgemässen Be hälters, und zwar Fig. 1 und 2 einen Längs- bezw. einen Querschnitt und Fig. 3 einen Abstreifer in Draufsicht. Der Behälter 1 besitzt eine grössere Höhe als das Messer 2, so dass die Messerspitze den Boden 3 des Behälters nicht berühren kann. Der Deckel 4 des Behälters ist abnehmbar und besitzt zwei gegeneinander und gegen das Behälterinnere geneigte Wandungen, deren Scheitel einen nahezu über die ganze Länge des Deckels 4 laufenden Schlitz 5 bil det.
Auf der Innenseite .des Deckels 4 sind Träger 6 befestigt, deren jeder das eine Ele ment zweier untereinanderliegender Abstrei fer 7 und 8 trägt. Der Abstreifer 7 besteht aus zwei in Abstand voneinander angeordne ten Plattfn aus saugfähigem Material, z. B. Filz. Der untere Abstreifer 8 besteht aus nicht saugfähigem Material, vornehmlich aus Gummiplatten. Im übrigen besitzen die Ab streifer 7 und 8 eine Länge, die erheblich kleiner ist als die Länge des Schlitzes 5. An ihren Enden sind die Abstreifer 7 und 8, wie aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich, abgerundet, so dass das Messer von der Seite her zwischen die Abstreifer eingeführt werden kann.
Zum Gebrauch wird der Behälter bis unter den Abstreifer 7 mit Wasser gefüllt. Das zum Schneiden von Kuchen- oder Tor- tenstücl,:en verwendete Messer 2 wird in den Schlitz 5 eingesteckt, und zwar an dem einen oder andern Ende desselben, so dass beim Ein stecken des Messers dieses die Abstreifer 7 und 8 nicht berührt.
Das Messer hängt in dem Behälter und ist von Wasser umgeben. Die iSpitze des Messers kommt mit dem Boden 3 nicht in Berührung. Wird das Messer zum Gebrauch wieder herausgenommen, so wird es zuerst im Schlitz 5 in die Abstreifer 7 und 8 ver schoben. Zufolge der abgerundeten Enden der Abstreifer 7 und 8 tritt es ohne merkbaren Widerstand in die Abstreifer 7 und 8 ein. Es befindet sich nunmehr in der Mitte des Schlitzes 5. Hat das Messer diese Stellung eingenommen, so wird es nach oben heraus gezogen.
Durch den Abstreifer 8 werden die am Messer haftenden Reste abgestreift, wäh rend der Abstreifer 7 aus saugfähigem Mate rial das am Messer haftende überflüssige Wasser abstreift, so dass das Messer, wenn es herausgenommen ist, von anhaftenden Resten befreit und nur sehr wenig benetzt ist., Was ser von dem feuchten Messer also nicht mehr abtropfen kann.
Der Behälter 1 kann zum Beispiel aus keramischem Stoff, Kunstharzen oder Metall bestehen. Es können auch mehr als zwei Ab streifer untereinander angeordnet sein.

The container according to the present invention can be filled with water and has scrapers formed under a section of a slot arranged in the lid for lateral introduction of the knife. It is practical if two scrapers are attached to each other, of which the lower one consists of two spaced apart elastic plates made of non-absorbent material and the upper one made of absorbent material.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the loading container according to the invention, namely FIGS. 1 and 2 a longitudinal respectively. a cross section and FIG. 3 a scraper in plan view. The container 1 has a greater height than the knife 2, so that the knife tip cannot touch the bottom 3 of the container. The lid 4 of the container is removable and has two walls inclined towards each other and towards the interior of the container, the apex of which a slot 5 bil det almost over the entire length of the lid 4.
