Dans la deuxième forme d'exécution re présentée aux fi.g. 3 et 4, le ressort utilisé pour prendre, le ,jeu du mouvement dans la boîte est un ressort-fil, de section ronde, formé d'une boucle ronde ouverte 16, se maintenant élastique ment dans une noyure 17 de la platine dont le bord 17' est conique surplombant en queue d'aronde, de laquelle partent les deux branches 16' et 16" sur les quelles agira la glace et qui feront ainsi l'of fice de deux ressorts;
Waterproof watch. In waterproof watches comprising a cap - caseback - on the edges of which the bezel presses a synthetic resin crystal, water resistance is generally obtained by a plastic gasket interposed between the cap and the crystal. Since this seal must be able to be compressed, the movement must not be kept high by the ice; there is therefore a space between the latter and the dial when the movement rests on the cap.
Apart from that, it is possible that the outside of the movement does not correspond exactly to the inside of the shell: there is then a sloshing which is not tolerable in a quality watch.
The object of the invention is a waterproof watch which is characterized in that it possesses at least one spring fixed to the plate of the movement so as to be banded by a pressure exerted on it by the ice, to suppress the sloshing. movement in the box. The drawing represents four embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. l is a partial section of the first by the axis of the remon toir rod.
Fig. 2 is a partial view showing the plate where the spring is attached.
Fig. 3 is a partial plan view of the second embodiment of which FIG. 4 is a partial section through the middle and in the direction of the length of the spring.
Fig. 5 is a plan view of a third embodiment, of which FIG. 6 is a partial section, through the middle of the spring fixing screw and perpendicular to the latter.
Figs. 7 and 8 relate to a fourth form of the spring in question and show the first a plan, and the second a section through the longitudinal axis of the wire spring employed. The cap, the bezel, the crystal and the elastic packing of the first embodiment shown in figs. 1 and 2 are designated respectively by l., 2, 3 and 4; the cooperation of these parts is known. In the working hole 6 of the plate 5 is driven an unthreaded ca 7 on which the blade spring 8 is held by the screw 9.
This spring is; lobed in a groove concentric with the working hole 6 and in a passage whose walls orient it and it is long enough to be able to penetrate under the rim 10 of the glass 3; the passage is also sufficiently deep, relative to the barrel 7, so that the spring can be freely loaded.
By pretending the ice 3 to the cap 1, then by compressing the elastic seal 4, by means of the bezel 2, the leaf spring 8 is banded, which has the effect of making the casing net 5 'of the mainplate on the cap because, in this embodiment, the movement is still maintained in height, on the other hand, by the winding stem in two sections 11 and 12 and the waterproof winding crown 13 whose package 14 encloses the tube 15 of the box which is crossed by the barrel crown-rod assembly ronne assembled, removably, at the. movement rod.
This rod in two sections is the subject of Swiss patent no 215993 and the waterproof crown those of nos 209888, 216198 and 226716. In this example, the leaf spring is supported and is fixed by means of a screw on a threaded barrel. driven into a working hole in the plate, because there is no other place available for this spring on this side of the plate; but it goes without saying that, in another caliber, the leaf spring could rest directly on the latter, the screw which keeps it taking in the plate itself.
If, for one reason or another, the lack of space for example, it was not possible to fix such a spring opposite the winding stem, then we would use two similar springs placed on the other two sides. of the form movement plate. The device can, of course, also be used when it comes to round movements.
In the second embodiment shown in fi.g. 3 and 4, the spring used to take the play of the movement in the case is a wire spring, of round section, formed of an open round loop 16, remaining resiliently in a core 17 of the plate whose edge 17 'is conical, overhanging in a dovetail, from which the two branches 16' and 16 "depart on which the mirror will act and which will thus act as two springs;
the space between the, cap and the. glass being quite small, when it has a rim to contain the elastic seal, the end of the two branches of the spring is bevelled to reduce the size. In addition. so that these branches can be bandaged, they are located in a passage 18 which is deeper than the core used to assemble, to the plate, the wire spring by its loop.
In the third embodiment (fig. 5) the wire spring 19 is in the shape of a U. It is fixed by means of the conical head 20 of a screw on the upper part. 21 of a passage with straight edges and two floors 21 and 22, in which it is placed freely. If the space between the branches of the spring were large and the head of the screw thus became delicate, the spring could be fixed by means of the conical edge of a washer assembled to the plate by a screw. The result of the second and third forms of execution might have only one branch.
In the embodiment shown in fi-. 7 and 8, it is a wire spring 25 of reetaiinulaire profile and held by a screw 26 with a conical head in a two-stage countersink 27, 28 made in the plate. It is natural that here also the section of the wire could be miter that represented, either square or round.
When the ice is tightly assembled, with a cap, without an elastic internal seal, according to Swiss Patent No. 217812, for example, it is even more necessary ('there y garlic, a space between the glass and the cover; consequently, one or the other system of spring which has just been described would be also very well, in this case, to take the play of the movement in its box.
