Boîte de montre. L'invention a pour objet une boîte de montre comprenant une calotte, une lunette et une glace de protection incassable dont un re bord est assujetti par compression, entre la calotte et la lunette; elle a pour but de créer une boîta dont le joint d'assemblage séparant la glace des autres éléments de la boîte est rendu pratiquement étanche par un disposi tif -de serrage assurant l'assemblage des élé ments constitutifs de la boîte.
Ce dispositif comporte au moins deux brides insérées dans. le pourtour de la calotte et possédant chacune au moins une ailette latérale s'étendant dans un dégagement inté rieur de la lunette, dans lequel est vissée une vis -de serrage agissant par pression sur la dite ailette latérale pour assurer l'assem blage des trois éléments constitutifs de la boîte.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention. La fig. 1 est une coupe longitudinale d'une boîte rectangulaire à cornes;
la fig. 2 en est une coupe horizontale sui vant la. ligne II-II de la fig. 1, tandis que la fig. 3 est une coupe transversale sui vant la ligne brisée III-IV-V-VI de la fig. 1;
les fig. 4 et 5 représentent en coupe Lon- gitudinale, respectivement en coupe transver sale, un segment de tube taraudé destiné à être figé .dans la lunette et à recevoir la vis de serrage.
Dans le dessin, on distingue la calotte 6, la lunette à cornes 7 et la glace de protection 8 de la boîte. La glace 8, en matière incassa ble, est engagée, par un rebord 8', entre la calotte 6 et un rebord de la lunette 7. Ces deux derniers éléments de la boîte étant ajustés l'un dans l'autre et assemblés rigide ment avec la glace 8, au moyen d'un dispo sitif de serrage, le rebord 8' de la glace se trouve comprimé entre les éléments 6 et 7, de manière que son joint d'assemblage soit pra: tiquement étanche.
Le dispositif de serrage comprend deux brides 9 en acier, réparties symétriquement sur les deux petits côtés de la boîte et insé rées, chacune, dans un dégagement correspon dant 6' de la calotte. Ces brides possèdent au milieu de leur base, une ailette latérale 10 et s'appuient, par leur face supérieure échan crée formant deux talons 11, contre la face supérieure plane du dégagement 6' correspon dant de la calotte.
L'ailette latérale 10 s'étend dans un déga gement 12 ménagé en partie dans la. lunette 7 et en partie dans la calotte 6, la partie ména gée dans la lunette étant garnie d'un segment de tube taraudé 13, soudé à la lunette. Ce segment est formé de préférence par une douille taraudée dont une partie a été retran chée par fraisage (fig. 4 et 5).
Le segment tubulaire taraudé 13 constitue conjointement avec une partie (non taraudée) du dégage ment 12, partie prévue à la calotte 6, une fo rure cylindrique, dans laquelle est vissée une vis de serrage 14 agissant par pression sur ladite ailette 10 pour assurer l'assemblage des trois éléments constitutifs de la boîte, le re bord de la glace 8 étant fortement comprimé entre la calotte et la lunette. Il est à remar quer que l'ailette 10, respectivement la bride 9, fait légèrement ressort, ce qui contribue à assurer .la vis 14 contre le desserrage acciden tel.
Le dispositif de serrage est également ap plicable aux boîtes de montre rondes, avec ou sans cornes; il peut comprendre plus de deux brides 9.
Ces brides seront nécessairement courbées en arc de cercle lorsqu'elles sont appliquées à une boîte de montre ronde. Elles peuvent coopérer avec une ou plusieurs vis de serrage pour assurer l'assemblage des éléments de la boîte, chaque vis agissant sur une ailette laté rale de la bride afin que la pression des vis de serrage soit transmise sur la plus grande partie possible du pourtour de la boîte.
Watch box. The subject of the invention is a watch case comprising a cap, a bezel and an unbreakable protective glass, one rim of which is secured by compression, between the cap and the bezel; its purpose is to create a box in which the assembly joint separating the glass from the other elements of the box is made practically waterproof by a clamping device ensuring the assembly of the constituent elements of the box.
This device has at least two flanges inserted in. the perimeter of the cap and each having at least one side fin extending into an interior clearance of the bezel, into which is screwed a clamping screw acting by pressure on said side fin to ensure the assembly of the three components of the box.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of a rectangular box with horns;
fig. 2 is a horizontal section following the. line II-II of fig. 1, while FIG. 3 is a cross section along the broken line III-IV-V-VI of FIG. 1;
figs. 4 and 5 show in longitudinal section, respectively in transverse cross section, a threaded tube segment intended to be fixed in the bezel and to receive the clamping screw.
In the drawing, the cap 6, the horned bezel 7 and the protective glass 8 of the case can be distinguished. The glass 8, made of unbreakable material, is engaged, by a rim 8 ', between the cap 6 and a rim of the bezel 7. These last two elements of the case being fitted into one another and assembled rigidly. with the glass 8, by means of a clamping device, the rim 8 'of the glass is compressed between the elements 6 and 7, so that its assembly joint is practically sealed.
The clamping device comprises two steel flanges 9, distributed symmetrically on the two short sides of the box and each inserted into a corresponding clearance 6 'of the cap. These flanges have in the middle of their base, a side fin 10 and are supported, by their upper face created forming two heels 11, against the flat upper face of the corresponding clearance 6 'of the cap.
The lateral fin 10 extends in a recess 12 formed in part in the. bezel 7 and partly in the cap 6, the part provided in the bezel being lined with a threaded tube segment 13, welded to the bezel. This segment is preferably formed by a threaded sleeve, a part of which has been cut off by milling (fig. 4 and 5).
The threaded tubular segment 13 constitutes together with a part (not threaded) of the clearance 12, part provided for the cap 6, a cylindrical hole, into which is screwed a tightening screw 14 acting by pressure on said fin 10 to ensure l assembly of the three constituent elements of the box, the re edge of the glass 8 being strongly compressed between the cap and the bezel. It should be noted that the fin 10, respectively the flange 9, slightly spring, which helps to ensure .la screw 14 against accidental loosening such.
The clamping device is also applicable to round watch cases, with or without lugs; it can include more than two flanges 9.
These flanges will necessarily be curved in an arc of a circle when applied to a round watch case.
