Druckkocher.
Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht des Druck kochers.
Fig. 2 ist ein Grundriss.
Pressure cooker. There is already a pressure cooker known in which the lid, as it has long been the case with steam boilers, is pressed against a pressure surface extending across its edge when the pressure cooker is closed from the inside. Of course, the diameter of the lid must be larger than the opening of the pressure cooker container. Therefore, in order to be able to insert the lid into this container, it is designed in such a way that it deforms when it is removed, that is to say changes into a curved shape.
However, this means that the lid must be made from a special material, namely from stainless steel sheet, which makes the production of the pressure cooker very expensive and in the absence of this material makes it impossible at all.
The invention enables this to be partially eliminated. The pressure cooker, in which the lid rests in the closed position on the inside of a flange protruding inwardly at the top of the pot, is characterized in that the lid is rigid, that it and the pot opening are out of round, so that the Lid does not have to deform when it is removed, and that with the lid, in which the can of a pressure gauge is installed centrally, a hand lever is articulated, which, in cooperation with a handle of the pot, presses the lid against the flange and thereby holds it of the lid in the closed position.
An embodiment of the subject invention illustrates the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the pressure cooker.
Fig. 2 is a plan view.
Fig. 3 shows on a larger scale a 90 vertical section through a safety valve belonging to the pressure cooker.
FIG. 4 is a partial section through the cover on a larger scale, and FIG. 5 is a plan view of the cover according to FIG. 4 with the cover plate of the manometer removed. In the drawing, 1 means the pot of the pressure cooker with the handle 2, which has the usual insulating cladding. The inwardly protruding flange 4 is located on the upper edge of the pot.
The rigid, suitably made of the same material as the pot 1, for example made of aluminum cover 3 is oval, like the opening of the rest of the round pot, but has a slightly larger diameter than this and is therefore attached to it with a th seal 5 to the inside of the Flan cal 4 when the pressure cooker is closed sen.
In the lid 3, the can 6 of a manometer is installed centrally. 7 is the cover plate of this can and 8 is a seal inserted between the cover plate and the can. On the top of the cover plate, the forked end 9 of a hand lever 10 is hinged, which rests in the closed position of the lid 3 in a fork-shaped support 11 forming a piece with the handle 2, on which it has its pivot point, with its free end in a on the handle 2 attached spring hook 12 engages.
In the pressure gauge box 6 is the usual spring 14 acting on the pointer 13. The scale. 15, over which the pointer plays, is visible from the outside through an opening 16 in the cover plate 7. The steam pressure in the pot 1 acts through an opening 18 of the pressure gauge box that is shielded by a sieve 17 on the pressure gauge.
Furthermore, the pressure gauge box 6 is vertically penetrated by a tube 19, the upper part of which protrudes over the cover plate 7 and is used for guiding a valve body 20 of a safety valve which is conical in its central part, which valve body is detachable and axially movable on the tube 19 and provided with a handle 21 is. In the closed position of the safety valve shown in FIG. 3, a guide pin 22 of the valve body engages in an axial groove 23 on the outer surface of the tube 19, specifically in the lower end of said groove. the upper end of which is at 24.
In addition, another, steeply helical groove 25 extends from the lower end of the groove 23 and extends to the upper end of the tube 19. This groove 25 allows the valve body 20 to be removed and put on. To remove it, it is lifted with a slight rotation by means of the handle 21, while the guide pin 22 is brought into engagement with the upper end of the groove 25 when it is placed. The valve body then falls down by itself, with the pin 22 sliding in the groove 25. In the closed position of the valve, a valve cone 26 mounted in the valve body 20 blocks the upper end of the tube 19, the valve seat bil Dende.
If the steam pressure in the pot 1 increases by a certain amount, the valve body 20 is raised. The pin 22 only slides in the groove 23, and this movement of the valve body is inhibited as soon as the pin 22 has reached the upper end 24 of the groove 3. Due to the steam pressure, the valve body 20 can never be completely lifted from the pipe who the. In addition, openings 27 are provided in the uppermost part of the valve body, through which steam rising in the pipe 19 can escape. So that cracked liquid particles do not get carried away too far. a cap 28 is turned on between handle 21 and valve body 20, which shields the openings 27 and intercepts entrained liquid particles.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, the safety valve described is located between the forked ends of the hand lever, which are hinged to the cover plate 7, and causes the lid 3, when it is removed from the pot 1, only slight Schwingun conditions around the The axis of rotation of the hand lever can lead out, so that you do not need both hands to bring the former into the correct position when putting on or off the lid of the pot.
To put on the lid, it is first inserted into the pot, then the hand lever 10 is inserted into the fork-shaped support 11 and finally its free end is brought into engagement with the spring hook 12. In this position of the hand lever, the cover and its seal 5 are pressed firmly against the flange 4 of the pot. As a result of the rigid design of the lid, the contact pressure is distributed much more evenly on its circumference than in the known pressure cooker with an elastically deformable lid.
In addition to the safety valve already described, a second safety valve 29 is attached in the cover in the event that blockages should occur in the pipe 19.
Instead of the spring pressure gauge described, a spring plate pressure gauge of known construction can also be arranged in the cover. In this case, the tube 19 does not go through the pressure gauge box, but is fastened outside the same in the cover 3. In addition, the fork 9 is then expediently articulated directly to the cover.
