Additional patent to main patent no. 243569. Pressure relief valve, especially for pressure cookers. The subject of the main patent is a pressure relief valve, especially for steam cookers, with an axially displaceable and freely rotatable weight along a hollow shaft, through which the valve body is pressed onto the valve seat provided at the end of the shaft, characterized by a resilient element which, in order to avoid a unintentional hurling of the weight whose axial displacement be limited and still allows removal of the weight Ge. This enables rapid pressure relief and, on the other hand, makes the valve easily accessible for cleaning.
A further development of this Überdruckven valve is given in that, according to the present invention, the resilient element and an actuator are arranged on the hollow shaft, by means of which actuator the valve body can be set in the open position.
This allows, with compact design of the pressure relief valve when the latter is used in steamers, any time-wise opening of the valve in order to delay the increase in pressure behufs delaying the cooking process when z. B. the operating person is otherwise used men.
The hollow shaft is advantageously located on a hollow support body on which a pressure indicator is also provided. Such an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the closed valve and the pressure indicator, and FIG. 2 shows a corresponding section through the valve in the open position and the pressure indicator in view.
It denotes 1 provided on the valve NEN hollow shaft. Which is screwed into the hollow support body 11 with its lower end. The upper end of the shaft 1 serves as a seat for the valve body 4, which is arranged on a handle part 5 and screwed into the bell-shaped weight 6 surrounding the shaft. By means of this weight 6, which can be lifted off and freely rotated along the shaft 1, the valve body 4 is pressed onto the valve seat according to FIG. 1. The weight 6 has in the area of the Ventilkör pers 4 a number of holes 7 for the steam exits when the Ventilkör is lifted by 4 from its seat at overpressure in the container equipped with the valve.
On the thread of the shaft 1 a sleeve 8 is screwed, which has gebil ended parts with outwardly directed edge 9 by incisions, which can cooperate with an annular deposition 10 in the cavity of the weight 6 from. As a result, the axial displacement of the weight 6 is limited by the sleeve 8 in the event of excess pressure in the container mentioned, in that the weight 6 can be raised at most until the edge 9 is present on the deposition 10. The steam passes between the valve body 4 and the valve seat and through the holes 7.
Despite the stroke limitation provided for the weight 6 or the valve body 4, the weight 6 can easily be removed from the shaft 1 by hand for the purpose of cleaning the valve and put back onto the shaft by the sleeve 8 giving way in each case; the sleeve 8 can, for. B. made of non-ferrous metal, light metal, Leichtmetallegie ments or steel.
According to the drawing, the valve is by means of the hollow support body 11 on the cover 3 z. B. attached to a pressure cooker. As a means for this, the support body 11 has a lower threaded connector 12 with nut 13, a washer 14 inserted between this and the cover 3 and a sealing washer 15. On the thread of the shaft 1 there is an adjusting disk 16 with evenly distributed in its circumferential sense Pin 17 to interact with the Ge weight 6. If the adjusting disc 16 is screwed by hand in a corresponding manner on the shaft 1 upwards, so that the pin 17 hit the underside of the weight 6, then the weight 6 is subsequently lifted and thereby the valve body 4 is lifted from its seat.
In this way, the valve body 4 can be set in the open position in the sense of FIG. 2 and, if necessary, leave the same for a shorter or longer period of time; by subsequently screwing the adjusting disk 16 downwards, the valve body 4 can recently be set on its seat and thus the valve in the state of readiness for action. The mentioned stop pins 17 do not hinder the cleaning of the adjusting disk 16.
The support body 11 has a serving to take on the pressure indicator since union socket 11 ', in the bore of a pressure piston 18 is guided. A continuation of the pressure piston 18 is formed by a subsequent indicator pin 19, the front part of which has a screwed, red-colored light metal cap 28. On the nozzle 11 'a cover housing 20 is screwed, which has a central opening for the passage of the pointer pin 19 and is provided with ventilation holes 21 on the circumference.
On the pressure piston 18 a pushed onto the indicator pin 19 helical spring 22 is effective, which is based on the other end of the cover housing 20; by the spring 22, the pressure piston 18 is usually held by means of a flange 18 'on the corresponding end of the Stut zens 18 adjacent. The spring 22 is dimensioned so that when there is an overpressure of a certain size acting on the Kol ben 18, the indicator pin 19 protrudes a fixed length from the cover housing 20, e.g. B. a little more than the front (e.g.
B. red -) color line of the indicator pin 19; from this, conclusions can be drawn about the status of the cooking process in the pressure cooker.
The assembly of over pressure valve and pressure indicator described on one and the same support body brings a corre sponding simplification in structural terms with it and gives a convenient overview with respect to valve and pressure indicator.
