N<B><I>'</I></B> -äthylen-1 . 4-N' . N"-diureido-n- butans der Formel:
EMI0002.0001
Process for the production of a condensation product. The subject of the present additional patent is a process for the production of a condensation product, characterized in that adipic acid-N. N '-. Dichlorodiamide in the presence of an acid-binding agent reacts with ethylene imine.
The acid-binding agent used is primarily an alkali hydrogen.
The reaction product dissolves easily in water, difficult in sodium hydroxide solution and melts at 120 ° C. It is intended to be used as a textile auxiliary.
Examples: 1. 213 parts by weight of adipic acid-N. N′-dichlorodiamide are slowly stirred into a solution, kept at 30 ° C., of 80 parts by weight of caustic soda, 600 parts of water and 86 parts by weight of ethyleneimine.
After everything has gone into solution and no more warmth can be detected, the solution, which only has a very weak phenolphthalein-alkaline reaction, is made completely neutral to phenolphthalein.
The saline solution, which is only litmus alkaline, can be used as such to refine fiber material or to produce coatings that are resistant to water and rubbing.
If you want to separate the ethylene urea from the aqueous reaction solution, the solution is treated with 100 parts by weight of caustic soda while cooling. The precipitated product is filtered off, washed with a little 20% sodium hydroxide solution and dissolved in methylene chloride. The methylene chloride solution is dried with galium carbonate and the methylene chloride is distilled off in vacuo.
The distillation residue obtained is 120 parts by weight of the N-ethylene-NII ". N -ethylene-1,4-N '. N" -diureido-n-butane the formula:
EMI0002.0001
The product dissolves easily in water. heavy in caustic soda. It melts at 120 ° C. It can optionally be further purified by crystallization from acetone.
213 parts by weight of adipitic acid-1T. N 'dichlordia.mid are slowly stirred into a solution kept at <B> -3' </B> C of 80 parts by weight of caustic soda in 600 parts of water. After the Diehlordianlid has gone into solution, 86 parts by weight of ethyleneimine are added and the temperature is allowed to rise to 30.degree. At this temperature, the reaction takes place fairly quickly with considerable heat development. 'Good cooling is therefore used to ensure that this temperature is not exceeded and that the reaction does not become too stormy.
At 30 C, the rearrangement is completed in about 2 seconds. The solution can be used as such or, as indicated in Example 1, further processed.
3. 500 parts of an aqueous paste of adipic acid-N. N'-dichlordia.mi (ls, which contains 213 parts by weight of dichlorodiamide. Are kept at <B> -3 '</B> C in an amount of 80 parts by weight of calcium oxide 13 (10 parts of water and 86 parts by weight of ethyleneimine After the dichlorodiamide has gone into solution, it is warmed, as stated in Example 2, to 3t} "C.
Compartment l: When the reaction has ended, the oil, shot calcium oxide is sucked off and the solution obtained is refined as indicated in the previous examples.
