Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Oxycarbonsäurearylides. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Oxyphenyl- arylamincarbonsäurearylides, dadurch gekenn zeichnet,
dass man die durch Kohlensäure druckschmelze der Alkalisalze von 3 - Oxy- diphenylamin darstellbare 3 - Oxydiphenyl- ainincarbonsäure mit einem chlorierenden Mittel behandelt und das entstandene 3-Oxy- diphenylamiricar bonsäui-echlorid mit o-Toluidin in Suspensions- oder Lösungsmitteln erwärmt.
Das erhaltene 3-Oxydiphenylamincarboii- säure-o-toluidid kristallisiert aus Eisessig in Blättchen und besitzt den Schmelzpunkt 185 .
Es soll als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstel lung von Farbstoffen verwendet werden. Beispiel: 'l6,3 Teile 3-Oxydiphenylamincarbonsäure und 120 Teile Thionylchlorid werden in 1000 Teile Ligroin eingetragen und bis zur Lösung der Carbonsäure zum Sieden erhitzt.
Das Li- groin und überschüssige Thionylchlorid wird dann im Vakuum abdestilliert, der Rückstand mit 750 Teilen Toluol und<B>35,7</B> Teilen o-To- luidin versetzt -und bis zur Beendigung der Salzsäuregasentwicklung im Sieden gehalten.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird nun mit Soda lösung bis zur Alkalität versetzt, das Toluol durch Blasen mit Wasserdampf entfernt und das gebildete o-Toluidid durch Lmlösen aus Lauge und Fällen mit Kohlensäure gereinigt.

The liquor and excess thionyl chloride are then distilled off in vacuo, 750 parts of toluene and 35.7 parts of o-toluidine are added to the residue and the mixture is kept boiling until the evolution of hydrochloric acid gas has ended.
Soda solution is then added to the reaction mixture until it is alkaline, the toluene is removed by blowing with steam and the o-toluidide formed is purified by dissolving it from lye and precipitating with carbonic acid.
